as we came in early, we have some clouds out there so after that unbelievably gorgeous friday, we have a day to day that you'll fine some clouds and if you have been waiting for showers you may find some of those. lets take a look and see what we have at this point. we will find that we have clouds starting to come in the area. notice to the west we have some showers and they will be moving in the area. we are not expecting heavy rain, maybe a tenth to

probably at most, not everybody seeing anywhere near that a quarter inch of rain. this is not a heavy rain maker at all but we could see rain and it will be a glummy look to the day to day. we are dealing with temperatures though that are pretty cool. look at that 48 degrees in the poconos. we have 63 in philadelphia with the wind out of the north east at the ten and down at the shore 58 degrees in atlantic city at the airport there. as we put these numbers up you can see temperatures in the 60's from philadelphia to the south but cooler to the the north. we have had cooler air coming in over next couple of days. our temperatures today probably stay around 70, 71 degrees. i would say from maybe 1:00 to 4:00 that is probably most likely time we will see some showers around here and again, they should be light. can't rule out then earlier or later then that but that is what it should be. komen three day, he can day,

street just after 10:00 o'clock friday night. when they arrived they found flames shooting from the first and second story windows, victim is described as an old's dult resident. the fire commissioner derrick sawyer talks about the importance of smoke detectors. >> we did a search through the house and we found one working alarm in the basement. we have not found any working smoke alarms at any other level of the floor. >> today is the, well, this is rather the the 23rd fire fatality so far this year. investigators believe that smoking may have contributed to the fire. the nfl is moving from one crisis to another, minnesota vikings star running back adrian peterson is facing a charge of child boost in texas. the as "eyewitness news" anchor chris may tells us the football star is accused of beating his son with the switch. >> reporter: texas grand jury indicted the six time pro bowl running back accusing him of causing serious injuries to

his four year-old son during a visit to peterson's home in may. these photographs from the draft of the police report obtain by cbs sports radio 610 in houston reports to show the child's injuries, cuts, bruce toes his back, buttocks, ankles and legs and descriptions as defensive wound to his hand. law enforcement sources say peterson used a switch like this as part of the tree brand to much spank his son after eye would i pushed a sibling. another shows investigators how he pulled it from a tree. investigation also reveals these text messages said to be between peterson and boy's mother. so you will be mad to me about his leg the player wrote, i got kind of good with the tail end of the good. later he got five more pops then normal, he didn't drop one tear. the boy's injuries were discovered during a doctor's appointment which led to the formal investigation. peterson's lawyers rusty harden says player has fully

today it is saturday september 13th, good morning everyone i'm todd quinones. here's meteorologist carol erickson with eyewitness weather. >> at least it is not friday 13th. somehow it kind of feels that way, we are looking at, a day that will be cooler then we have accustom ourselves to over the last couple of months but i think that will feel nice and it is cool out there this morning at 62 degrees in center city. even chillier then that in the outlying area. fifty-seven in reading at this point so cloudy start to the day and a cool one as well. so you may welcome that. storm scan three notice that there are some clouds moving in the area looking very closely. otherwise your eye is probably immediately drawn to the rain showers. we will find a few rain showers in the area and they should not be help heavy, a tenth of an inch of rain in some spot or two might get a quarter inch of rain but we could use some rain so it is not a bad idea but just a

"eyewitness news" reporter matt rivers were there where many were pulling for his recovery. >> reporter: it is not every day a freshman with the marple newtown high school football team out for their home opener but not every freshman has this that michael shelley has. >> they gave him so much love and support and that gets us through every day in the hospital.

>> i will be better in the even. >> reporter: michael was practicing for the upcoming football season. he told his mom that he had a stomach ache. trip to the er ape three days later they discovered he had non-hodgkin's lymphoma a rare aggressive form of cancer. chemotherapy started right away and life he knew was put pot on hold. shoulder pads were traded in for a hospital gown, water bottle exchange for an iv. but he kept his spirits up, singing and caning with one specific thing in mind. mike led his team on the field as an entire community rallied on. they wore shelley strong t-shirts and chanted his nickname. >> rudy, rudy. >> that is rudy they are saying. >> extra support to play another day. >> i'm beyond proud of the student body and community as a whole for what they have done. >> reporter: mike still have have months of chemo ahead and hardest days are yet to come. he will go through witt lots of people cheering him on.

komen three day for a cure. today is saturday september 13th, good morning, i'm todd quinones. the here's meteorologist carol erickson with eyewitness weather. >> we have some clouds out there this morning so i think we will be finding friday through sunday, bookended by sunshine but in the middle where we are right now, the clouds, and maybe some soggy feeling because we are looking at a couple rain showers. lets look outside and we don't see them at this point at all. ben franklin bridge looks bright and beautiful. we have clouds overhead. you can see them on storm scan three. if you look carefully, closely at your set. notice some of these rain showers, low pressure moving through and that will be triggering these showers as we move through the afternoon. none of them should get heavy and if we talk about a tenth or less of an inch of rain that would be accurate for most people. there is a chance maybe somebody would see a quarter inch of rain but
