"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo is live at police headquarters with more. jan? >> reporter: that the tasha, ukee, police say she was sitting just about a block away from the shooting, minding her own business, watching her neighbors' young child, when she was shot and killed tonight make matters worse, she was eight months pregnant, we've now learned police tell us that baby has died overnight, all as they search for a suspect.

at 26 years old, megan doto was preparing to become a mother, she had already chosen her baby's name, carmine. but, a lifetime of memories was cut short in frankford sunday morning. the young woman hit and killed by what appears to be a stray bullet. >> one of the rounds traveled down the street, and struck the 26 year old woman in the right side of the face. >> police say the boy came from hundreds of feet away, after someone fired about a dozen shots. one of them struck doto as she sat here in the 1500 block of adams avenue around 11:00 a.m. she was returned to temple university hospital but died. at eight months pregnant, doctors had to perform an emergency c-section to save her child's life. the baby had remained in critical condition. but we're told he died overnight. >> you cannot let your kids play outside no more. like you have to be careful, you got to be watching them 24/7. >> a lost all the way around, it is a shame, a shame that it happened. >> now police search for suspect, and a motive. >> she was not a target.
