scene, at the corner of american and york streets, here in kensington. you can see that the fire is now under control. but firefighters remain on the scene here, we're told this fire started around 2:30 this morning, and boy, was cents it a site. take a look at the video, see the flames shooting into the air. we're told that this fire started at 2:30, in a vacant commercial type building. and then, it spread, to neighboring business, which is a paper storage company, so you can imagine, they had a heavy fire load in these buildings, and that's why it went up so fast. now, obviously, the vacant building has been completely destroyed, we're told there is heavy damage to the paper storage company, as is well. there is also another business on the corner hereof american. it is a furniture business. we're told it has some minor exterior damage. firefighters really worked hard to save that building. there is more than 120 firefighters on scene, 30 apparatus here, it has been a huge effort to get this fire under control.

it went to four alarms, very quickly, take a listen, to how the fire commissioner says these crews battled this fire. >> we went to four alarms, which is about 33 pieces of apparatus, 120 firefighters. we did have three injuries. we had two firefighters with minor injuries, and we had one civilian with critical conditions injuries. and now it took fire crews more than an hour to get this huge fire under control. a lot of people also coming out of their houses cents, in this neighborhood, taking a look, because it was such a site to see, back out here live on scene, you can just see a loft smoke in this area, there is a bit of a breeze out here, so it is pushing it around. so if you smell smoke in philadelphia, this is the reason why. again, we are coming to you live from the corner of american and york streets in kensington where this four alarm fire is now ends control. three injuries here, two minor injuries to firefighters and one person, a 25 year old man,

seven's today. all courtesy of just a reinforcement, call it, here, from a very weak front that came through yesterday. soap, storm scan3 continues to remain empty. but some of the cool air is really doing number on northern new england, in fact, there are freeze advisories, i should say, freeze warnings, and frost advisories posted up that way. typically, you wouldn't see the first frost up that far until maybe couple of days from now, so time something generally closing in on the norm for that area. for us, no worries here, guys, little too warm for any frost. but just sense of when the typical frost would maybe start to show up. generally, it starts in the month of october. but, we are wrapping up this fall season very quickly here, 59 the current temperature at the airport, into the 50's in ac, little cooler by comparison mount pocono, day ahead features pleasant weather overall, more sunshine, just again one of those mornings where really the entire day i would say, not the worse idea to keep that extra layer on land, but the sun will shine brightly.

that entire area if you can. if you do have to maneuver through it, front street your best alternate at this time. again, speed censors reflecting great news. # five on 95, 50 on the schuylkill, 50 on 476, pa turnpike northeast extension all moving well, we do, however, have overnight construction on the roosevelt boulevard in either direction near red lion, ongoing until 6:00 a.m. natasha. >> vittoria, thank you so maniment some now calling for federal investigation into the violent attack of same sex couple in center city philadelphia. councilman jim kenny sent this letter to the u.s. attorney's office, asking them to look into the case and prosecute it as a hate crime. federal investigators reached out to local authorities, but they haven't decided if they'll move forward. we want to cover every base, to make sure this did not happen or if it did happen that the federal government should take the case. >> detectives say, they've questioned six persons of interest, the scene in this surveillance video, some who say the victims are the ones who instigated the fight. so far, no charges have been

we're up-state g breaking news that we've been following three people were injured after massive inferno breaks out in kensington. here is a live look at that scene, as you can see, firefighters still dousing flames, and hot spots, we're told, one man suffered burns to more than 08% of his body. two firefighters also suffered minor injuries. the flames broke out about 2:30 this morning, were placed under control just about an hour ago. well, series of domestic violence cases still on the mind of many football fans. nfl kicks off another week. a lot of people are calling on the san francisco 49ers to bench defensive ends ray mcdonald after i accused of hitting his pregnant wife. so far no facing any charges.

spread quickly to business next-door. the four alarm fire was placed under control, just after 4:00 this morning. >> and philadelphia city hall is going green to save some green. you probably won't notice it from the outside, but the city is switching to energy efficient led lights in the clock tower. the current light bulbs have to be replaced every six to nine months or so, and new ones should last up to ten years. the change will save the city $10,000 a year, in electricity, plus another $30,000 in labor and materials. well, if you have shopped at home depo lately, please keep close eye on your credit card bill. home improvement store now says hackers stole credit card information from 56 million shoppers. that's one of the biggest retail data thefts in history. home depo says it got rid of the computer software that caused the problem, and it is offering free identity protection services to anyone who shopped there between april and september of this year. well, now it is time to check your philadelphia job
