>> ♪ >> from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia, this is cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> developing now at 11 o'clock, pennsylvania state police lift a shelter-in-place order in monroe county but tonight one of the fbi's most wanted suspects remains on the loose. good evening, everyone, i'm natasha brown. thanks so much for joining us. the manhunt for 31-year-old eric frein has been actively under way now for the past week. frein is accused of ambushing two pennsylvania state troopers killing one of them. "eyewitness news" reporter matt rivers is live in the cbs3 sat center with new developments in this case. matt. >> reporter: natasha, that shelter-in-place order was lifted just a few hours ago for barrett and price townships in monroe county many people there are allowed

to move about freely now but police are still urging caution and vigilance because eric frein is still on the run. sirens and racing police cars normal in monroe county a rural quiet area flooded with flashing lights. it was eight days ago that eric frein allegedly shot two trait troopers killing one of them. now hundreds of law enforcement officials and residents want same thing, to see frein captured. >> i think the whole county is going to be relieved, the whole country probably because we can't have people like this running around. >> reporter: officers appeared to be closing in on the 31-year-old self trained survivalist several times over the last few days. friday night there were reports of gunfire and it appeared police had frein surrounded but when the sun rose, he was still at large and the search goes on. in the meantime people in the search area had been forced to stay in their homes until late saturday evening when the shelter-in-place order was lifted. >> you expect people to be put out of their homes from

drive this afternoon. police are still investigating the cause of this crash. and also tonight, a pitbull on the loose attacks two children in philadelphia's west oak lane neighborhood on the 1500 block much beverly road just before 6 o'clock. the nine and 11-year-old boys were rescued by a good samaritan who was also bitten by the pitbulls. they all suffered minor injuries. the dog was taken to the philadelphia animal shelter. a high powered lobbyist is now facing some very serious charges tonight. police say andrew marsico sexually assaulted a 27-year-old woman inside his office at the bellevue august 21st following an event at the union league. marsico was arrested today as a lobbyist with greenly partners in harrisburg, marsico is politically connected. the 40-year-old was married by former governor ed rendell last year. developing now, a burlington county man is the

latest person to breach security at the white house. the secret service tells cnn kevin carr of shamong drove through the entrance to the white house complex and was arrested. this of course coming just a day after a man jumped the fence and made it all the way inside 1600 pennsylvania avenue. cbs correspondent bigad shaban, he's got the latest. >> reporter: 42-year-old omar gonzalez is accused of doing what nobody else has ever done before. he jumped a security fence sprinted across the lawn and ran right into the white house through the unlocked front doors. secret service agents immediately tackled him. it all went down in seconds just a few minutes after the president and his daughters left for camp david. >> everybody turn around head out the gate. >> exit. >> reporter: the white house was evacuated. gonzalez was taken away in an ambulance. secret service agents lined up shoulder to shoulder at first night combing the north lawn and nearby areas for anything

gonzalez might have left behind. the texas man was arraigned saturday afternoon. he's charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of unregistered ammunition. the court complaint says gonzalez was carrying a two and a half inch folding knife with a serrated blade. saturday after man drove up to the white house gates and refused to leave. he was arrested fortress passing. someone hispanic to make it over the fence about once a month. the secret service has increased security. the president says he still has faith in the agency. bigad shaban for cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> turning to our weather now it's the last official weekend of summer, everyone. it's been a treat for all of us. sleeves and shorts handy tomorrow as temperatures are going to be above average. we had that today. temperatures close to 80 degrees this afternoon. mid and upper 60's still hanging i don't ton 70 degrees in the capital city of delaware. 70 in wildwood and atlantic city. also the humidity is slowly on the rise so it will feel muggy tonight as well. 63 the cooler spots, quakertown, doylestown, mid 60's will drove and in pottstown. what you will wake up to on sunday morning, some mild temperatures a-little humidity as well. generally mid and upper 60's. so we're not going to drop a whole lot more tonight. the reason is we have a pretty good flow coming in from the south and southeast so some clouds are starting to spread northward. we could get a couple showers overnight across coastal new jersey but that easterly wind flow will start to increase the humidity. so, it's going to be a warm day tomorrow t partly sunny for philadelphia with a high of 82 degrees at the shore. there will be a threat for a shower during the day. 79 and in the poconos we're talking mid 70's and a partly sunny sky with some afternoon and evening showers. then fall arrives monday.

and that's when we see big changes in our seven-day forecast. we'll get to in a few minutes. natasha. >> justin thanks so much. a suspect is charged with attempted murder after police say he stabbed a mother and snob camden. the violence happened in the 2900 block of yorkship road early this morning. right now the victims are being treated at cooper university hospital. authorities say they are expected to survive but there's no word on a motive behind the stabbings. and family and friends meantime they gather for the funeral of a pregnant mother and her baby who were killed in frankford. megan doto was eight months pregnant when she was shot as she sat outside in frankford sunday morning. the funeral was held at calvary full gospel church in fairless hills bucks county. a web site set up to help pay for funeral costs raised more than $5,000 in just one day. and a judge declares a mistrial in the theft case against governor corbett's former son-in-law gerald gibson.

jurors were not able to reach a unanimous verdict on all charges against the former philadelphia police narcotics officers. authorities say he took money from a vehicle during an fbi sting last year. gibson says he planned to turn in the money after the end of his shift but was confronted by investigators before he could do so. he will be retried in january. it was a day of fun and fundraising to benefit the families of deceased philadelphia police officers and firefighters. >> (sirens). >> "eyewitness news" here at the 60th annual hero thrill show. the police highway patrol motorcycle drill team showed off their skills by performing pretty cool stunts in the parking lot of the wells fargo center. boxing champion and philadelphia native bernard hopkins is this year's grand marshall. today on penn's landing it was walk to celebrate freedom. thousands took part in the 2014 philadelphia recovery walk. this event is designed to prove that beating addiction

>> welcome back. hundreds of volunteers, they have now joined in this massive search for a university of virginia student who disappeared a week ago. this as police continued to investigate the disappearance of 18-year-old hannah graham. on friday, police said they spoke to a man they believe was with her in a bar the night she disappeared. but they did not have enough information to arrest him and today search teams fanned out all around the charlottesville, virginia area looking for any clues. >> i would want people out looking for one of my girls if this was my daughter. >> finds hannah. that's the mission in hand right now is to find hannah. you know, of course we're looking for the clothing, possibly that she had on the night she went missing. her cell phone. that's not been recovered. so, anything that has any aspect of hannah is what we're looking for. >> an estimated 1100 volunteers took part in today's search. and more supplies are

heading to africa to help healthcare workers stop the spread of a deadly ebola virus. a plane load of medicine from the united states left new york foresee yeah are a leone and liberia today. healthcare workers trying to help people infected have become infected themselves. crates on the plane are filled with items hard to find in west africa like gloves and gowns. and two detroit automakers announcing recalls today affecting more than half a million vehicles worldwide. cbs news correspondent marley hall has more from new york. >> reporter: chrysler is recalling more than 230,000, 2011 jeep grandeur keys and dodge durangos because of a fuel pump problem. the automaker says a relay could fail causing the vehicle to stall which could lead to a crash can which could also prevent the vehicle from starting. the relay is located inside the totally integrated power module which acts as the

vehicle's nerve center and controls a variety of functions including windshield wipers, gauges and air bag deployment. general motors has been plagued with the largest number of recalls in its history, more than 50 so far this year involving more than 26 million vehicles in the u.s. alone. the rash of recalls came after gm issued a major recall for a faulty ignition switch defect that has been linked to at least 19 deaths. since that february recall, congress has held several hearings about safety issues within the auto industry. gm's latest recall is for nearly 222,000, 2013 and 2014 cadillac xts and 2014-2015 chevrolet impalas. the electronic parking brake could stay partially engaged causing acceleration problems, heat, smoke and wear on the brakes. marley hall for cbs3 "eyewitness news."

>> well, pope francis meantime chooses a new bishop to head the archdiocese of chicago. bishop blaze supage of spokane washington is described as moderate and has called for civility in the culture wars. the pope's choice for chicago has been very closely watched. it's his first major u.s. appointment and some say a signal from francis about the direction he wants to steer american church leaders. all right, justin, hard to do but we got to say goodbye to summer. >> i know. got a little cool last week. >> yeah. >> but it's still summer. like whoa, we got to bring some of the warm temperatures back. we'll get another day tomorrow. >> one more day and then it will cool down. >> as fall arrives right on schedule talking about fall-like weather. if you like summer you'll like tomorrow. outside right now pretty quiet. there are clouds rolling in, could be some areas of fog developing as well as the wind has switched out of the east and southeast so that's starting to bring in some moisture. you can feel the change in the

humidity levels. it's slowly on the rise. it will couldn't to be on the rise in the overnight into your sunday and look at the temperature change from yesterday at this time. we're anywhere from four to 11 degrees warmer. so that's a sign of the warmer air moving in from the south so it's like that summer time feel in our air mass for another 24 hours or so. here are the temperatures. mid 60's in the cool spots to almost near 70 in philadelphia. we are at 70 wildwood and the atlantic city airport. temperatures should drop a whole lot more tonight 'cause we do have some clouds rolling in. the wind is off the ocean out of the east and southeast so that's going to keep the temperature on the milder side tonight and again watch out for some areas of fog especially towards the water. now i want to kind of gauge the humidity levels for you. if you remember a few days ago when it was real comfortable we were talking about dewpoint numbers in the 40's and 50's. that tell mes us how much moisture is in the air. now we're talking low and mid 60's. these are going to be on the rise tonight. so, we'll call it humid tomorrow as we finish off the summer season. so there we go, one storm system to our south trying to

bring in some clouds, maybe a couple of showers to south jersey through the overnight. we have a cold front to our west that will impact our weather later tomorrow night. right now we're in between two systems, so mainly dry tonight, just some clouds. so, tomorrow, low 80's for the inland spots. that storm will pass off shore. could bring a couple of showers to the jersey shore. this front comes through later sunday evening, sunday night. could bring a couple of showers in some spots, nothing heavy but it does bring a big change in the temperatures. you'll feel the difference way to the time you wake up monday morning as fall does arrive. talking about temperatures well below average, in the low 70's and that fall-like air mass really sticks around for several days coming up as this area of high pressure locks itself over new england. we're talking about a big stretch of some dry comfortable weather coming up in our forecast. so tomorrow afternoon you can see the clouds, maybe a couple showers near the jersey shore. elsewhere partly sunny, it's warm, it's humid. here we go eight, nine, 10 o'clock that front moves through, a couple of scattered

showers possible sunday night. that front moves on through, we clear the skies out again for monday and tuesday, lots of sunshine but despite the sunshine, temperatures will struggle to get into the lower 70's. so, look at this. sunday afternoon inland areas lower 80's, even up towards the lehigh valley and the poconos. little bit cooler near the shore. the front moves through. there's monday's temperatures in the afternoon, low 70's, south and east of the city 60's only up in the lehigh valley and the poconos. so, it will be on the muggy side overnight, partly cloudy, could be some areas of fog with a low of 66. warm and humid for sunday, partly sunny with a high of 82 degrees. we'll get that shower chance in here during the night time hours. redskins-eagles game, it's dry, comfortable 80 degrees warm at kickoff 1 o'clock, southwest breeze at five to 10 miles per hour. all right, fall officially arrives later monday night but it will feel like fall during the day. low 70's. look at all the sunshine next week. mostly sunny tuesday, wednesday, thursday. low 70's for the afternoon temperatures. by next weekend, looks like we keep it dry, a little bit
