through the delaware valley, now little delayed reaction, temperatures start to drop off. the breeze starts to kick in. we start to officially wrap up the summer season. so we will be talking about the differences in the thermometer, but generally, still a pretty nice week coming up. i'm going to have all of the details coming up in the next few. torrey? >> thank you, katie. good morning, everyone, also very quiet on your commute, we take a look at 95 through the construction zone at cottman, southbound, northbound, moving well. things overall look great. but it, will definitely change when the sun comes up, rush comes, in so stay with us, we head back to the desk, erika? >> thank you, new this morning, philadelphia police say two gunmen fired 21 shots in a overnight shooting that sent three people to the hospital. it happened last night, around 11:30, in kingsessing. investigators say two of the victims were grilling on the front porch at the time of the shooting. detectives interviewed witnesses, hoping to id the suspects. no word yet on motive. police are investigating an officer involved shooting

in west philadelphia. it left a 19 jerold suspect critically injured. it happened just before 9:00 last night on the 5600 block of media street, in carol park. investigators say, witnesses called 911 after seeing a man walking down the street with a gun in his hand. >> officers responded immediately to the assignment, and they saw a male fitting the description, who had a gun in his hand, so very good chance he was about to do something with that gun. people don't normally walk the streets with a gun in their hands. >> authorities say, the officers fired after the suspect pointed his weapon toward them. police recovered that weapon at the scene. no officers were injured in the shooting. well, developing right now, the national transportation safety board is investigating a deadly bus crash in northern delaware in which a second victim died overnight. >> it happened on the route one off ramp headed toward route 13 north in new castle. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us at christianna hospital in newark with more, jan, good morning.

>> reporter: good morning, erika, ukee, weaver now learned that another woman has succumb to her injuries overnight, meaning two women have now died because of this bus crash. and dozens of others remain in the hospital this morning. this, as police continue to investigate, and continue to look for answers to how this happened, and could it have been prevented. a terrible scene on the side of the road in new castle, delaware. crushed metal, shattered glass, passengers clothes covering blown out windows, a scene no one was prepared to experience. >> everyone was in so much pain. just crying out for their loved ones, and a lot of them, it was so frantic. >> elvis cruz drove past the crash just after it happened. and jumped out to help. >> their wounds were just -- almost like from a war zone, just so -- everyone was so cut up, missing bits and pieces of arm and face and no one on the scene without blood on them except for me. >> once first responders he snapped these heart wrenching pictures.

fifty people were a boards this tour bus, was running from three day sightseeing tour, rounds trip from new york city to washington, d.c. and back. crash happened here around 4:30 yesterday on the route one off ramp to us13 north. police say the 56 year old bus driver from flushing new york was driving around the curve when the bus left the road and overturned onto its roof. the bus then continued to slide down the embankment until it finally fell to rest on one side. police say the bus driver was properly restrained and only suffered minor injuries, but 54 year old woman from new york city, chen, pinned under the best, died on scene, and 30 year old woman from istanbul, turkey, was transported to christianna hospital where she later died. police say up to five others were transported in critical condition, and we're told two children were aboard, as well. now, police say that this bus is owned by amusa express based out of new york city. "eyewitness news" has tried to get in contact with that

business. no word back from them just yet. in the meantime, police are still investigating, they say any charges are pending the conclusion of this investigation. reporting live outside of christianna hospital, jan carabeo, "eyewitness news". jan, thank you. just past 5:03, we want to head out to the skydeck and check in with kate. >> i good morning, everybody, very happy monday to you, and generally speaking we've got nice week coming up here. so we'll say happy monday, happy tuesday, happy wednesday, although eventually wet weather we do have to track, but, it doesn't look like that will really mess with us until at least thursday. so, our stretch of really quiet weather, basically, continues on with only minor hiccups along the way. let's take a look outside. now, right now, it is just mild enough that i would say it is pretty much your call, whether you want to bring the jacket with you or not this morning. however, we did just have a cold front roll through. you can see the remains now, of those little speckles of green pulling away through new england. the transition basically just getting underway, from warmth,

to cooler air, taking over here, and the 24 hour temperature difference, just doesn't show too much movement on the thermometer here, your give or take couple of degrees, in most locations, but, that's going to change with time here. really going to notice and sort of level off with the tell readings hereby the afternoon. winds already starting to shift bit more northwest, up through the poconos, quite breezy at 14 miles per hour, only 53 degrees right now, too. so starting to see the drop on the thermometer there. and you may not level off much more than the mid 50's up in the mountains here today with just few residual clouds as the system pulls away. everywhere else i think you can bank on generally mostly sunny day, and temperatures that will have chance to rebounds back to the low 70s. but here is the thing, actually already hit our daytime high. it happened shortly after midnight. while we're going to come close to those low and mid 70s, yet again today, it will be awfully close. so, we've already hit the high. and the sun hasn't even come up yet. torrey, we send it into you. >> that's weird, isn't it?

>> it is a little strange. >> but it is still really nicement look at the wind blowing in your hair. >> absolutely. >> the things to be thankful for. good morning, everyone, traveling out and about this morning, no major delays at all. we take a look at 95, no delays in either direction, southbound, northbound, right around the area of cottman avenue. looking great, and, again, not only here, not around northeast philly but around center city, south philadelphia making your way down into delaware, no major problems at all. all of the delaware majors also just moving, that's nice. traveling the vine st. expressway eastbound and westbound commuting looking great. no delays heading to the schuylkill, no delays to 95. definately clear shot moving through south center city philadelphia. we take a look at the wide speed censors great, 50 on the schuylkill, # five -- 55, 476. notice the map, just grown all over, just how we like t however, big project for schuylkill commuters today. beginning today, westbound 76, the spring garden onramp, will be closed through november. so we have a few alternates for you definitely good thing to keep this in mine.

expected to vote on philadelphia's proposed cigarette tax. the city needs the money to help funds its financially strapped public school system. the 2-dollar per pack cigarette tax will provide about $83 million a year to the state's largest school district. meanwhile, the two candidates for pennsylvania governor have their first debate tonight at the state chamber of commerce dinner hershey. latest quinnipiac university poll shows challenger tom wolf 24 points ahead of incumbent tom corbett. that will pole also shows likely voters back wolf on the race's two biggest issues, jobs, and education. well, hundreds of nurses at crozer-chester medical center in delaware country in the second day of two day strike. nurses are unhappy over pay cuts and pensions. but their biggest complaint is over-staffing. while the medical center says staff levels are above average, the union says one nurse has cents to tends to several patients at once. >> we are now 550 nurses. we were 800 nurses cents a few

of good news to start your monday, we get you outside, take a look at the schuylkill expressway, 5:14, 76 very quiet. almost still sleeping. eastbound and westbound looking great around south street, really anywhere, even difficult to make out the road in the shot without few headlights. if you are traveling not only around center city, if you're traveling around the western suburbs, good news, same thing, trying get to the schuylkill, using the roosevelt boulevard, no major delays northbound, southbound, shot here at fox, really shows you how easy breezy it is out there. take a look at these numbers, 50 on the schuylkill, 55 on 95, 55 on 476, all green, if you are headed into your western suburbs, 422, 202, things on the pa turnpike looking great. we have some construction delaware county, west chester pike at laurence road, ongoing between 9:00 and 3:00. however, everything right now, looking great. erika? >> torrey, thank you. here are headlines this morning, second woman has died from injuries in yesterday's bus crash, it happened in new castle county. at least 49 people were taken to the hospital with injuries.

that bus was traveling from washington, d.c., to new york city. two people are in critical condition, and another person also cents injured in a triple shooting in kingsessing. investigators say, 21 shots were fired about 11:30 last night. police are searching for two gunmen. and pennsylvania's house of representatives is set to vote today on the proposed cigarette tax that could funds philadelphia's public schools. officials say the tax could provide about $83 million a year to the cash strapped district. a lot more to tell but this morning, celebrities hack again. more nude pictures are leaked on the internet. we'll tell you about the latest victims of the on line attack. >> also, stepping up the search for missing college student. her parents make the first public plea for help. as police focus on one man. details coming up.
