bombers, tomahawk missiles, fired from nearby warships were used to destroy isis targets in four areas, including rocca's the group strong hold. >> training facilities, logistics, known targets. >> video campaign comes after weeks of air strikes targeting isis in neighboring iraq. >> the president will join world leaders here, at the united nations general assembly today, he is expected to discuss the international coalition being formed to defeat isis, in a address wednesday. secretary of state, john kerrey, has been in new york working to strengthen the coalition. >> isil has savagely raped and kidnapped syrian woman. we must hold those who commit these acts, and those who condone them, accountable. >> former british prime minister tony blair says grounds troops may be needed in the fight. >> all i'm saying all future engagements, you can't rule them out in all circumstances.

from the roosevelt boulevard, you will bypass the accident, as you approach the betsy ross bridge, so that is definitely your best alternate. you can continue on the roosevelt boulevard and take the schuylkill into center city, that's always an option. traveling elsewhere, speed censors looking pretty good out there. we don't have any major delay at the airport or mass transit. we head back toutiesting. >> now, new this morning, "eyewitness news" on the scene of overnight fire in north philly. our cameras were rolling on the 3,000 block of north ninth street. we're told three people were taken to the hospital. but they are all expected to be okay. at the moment, there is cents no word on how it all started. gunfire near north philadelphia hospital kills an innocent teenage girl and wounds a 19 year old man. police say a fight in the subway led to the shootings near the einstein medical center in olney. that's where "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now with the latest information. jan? >> erika, police are hoping surveillance breaks this case. they are looking at surveillance not only here at einstein, but down the road at that subway station, where

this whole incident started. they're hoping that video hopes id a suspect, they're still looking for the teenage gunman this morning, as 19 year old shooting victim remains in the hospital, in critical condition, and as the family of a 15 year old starts to mourn her death. philadelphia police converge on yet another shooting scene. this time, in the olney section of city, near einstein medical center. the shooter, police say, is a teenager, the two victims, teenagers, too. >> young kids today, they get weapons from everywhere. it is just ridiculous. >> investigators say it all started here, around 4:00 in the afternoon, at the olney transit center when a fight broke out in a crowd of 50 teenagers, many of them students. the group then made its way south on broad street, and old york road, and that's when police say a teenage gunman took out a weapon from a student's back pack and started firing. the sounds sent students and residents of this busy block ducking for cover.

barricade situation that ended overnight in gloucester county. police found a man dead inside a west depford home. now the stand-off started yesterday afternoon, when police tried to serve a warrant on williams scheck he will. when police heard gunshot, swat officers moved in. police fired tear gas, canisters, into the house earlier. they found him dead late last night. back to the bargaining table today for nurses and managing. nurses wrapped up two day strike. they'd been working without a contract since june. key issues include pay, pensions, and staffing. they can't return to the jobs until friday, because crozer-chester hired replacement nurses and had to guarantee them five days of work. right now, 5:09. stepping up security at the white house. new this morning, the extra steps being taken to protect the president after two high profile security breaches. >> also, new obstacle today for firefighters out west trying to get these growing

fire has already burned more than 137 square miles. right now, thousands of homes are in danger, forcing those residents to evacuate to safer areas. high wind are expected today, which could help those flames grow even more. also, in california, farther south, we have new video, this is coming into "eyewitness news", showing massive dock fire just south of los angeles near long beach. more than 100 firefighters were called to the scene. they battled the flames throughout the night, and are still putting out hot spots this morning. fortunately, no injuries were reported. investigators are now looking for a cause. 5:13, traffic and weather together. oh, grab the coat. >> absolutely, erika. this will be chilly start to the morning for you. rude awakening, if you're not ready for it, that's where we come in. we are here to get you out the door so you know exactly what to expect when it comes to traffic and weather together, of course. this morning, expect it will be a little chilly outside. that's pretty much the bottom line. but you can expect clear sky, too. so storm scan3, empty, at

least over the delaware vale. obviously, though, off to the south, i show you this wide zoom for a reason. clouds beginning to thicken little bit. when i just take you little further south on i95 here, down into the carolinas, and georgia, the combination of our next area of low pressure starting to take shape here, and this is an area of low pressure that's very likely going to mess with our thursday, most specifically here, before it rolls out to sea. so, what this will end up meaning for us, is that what we see is a warm up on the they are mom term, for one thing, clouds building by tomorrow, then some rain to dodge. but for now, it is just chilly outside. i mean, the temperatures are anything from, say, about 10 degrees, to up to 20 plus degrees, colder, than this very same time yesterday. and i remember, very distinctly, wildwood actually still in the 70s at this hour yesterday. so it is a much different scenario out there, pollen report, though, continues to stay very just quiet. you know, even though we are still seeing predominant pollen, ragweed, sage brush, levels remain very low. but i'll be honest, i took my

pill this morning, for allergies, because it was bothering me. so if our chronic allergy sufferer from some of the predominant pollens, you might need the meds anyway. 07 degrees today under full sunshine, beautiful first day every fall, by tomorrow the clouds start to build, by thursday you need the umbrella, torrey. >> thank you, good morning, everyone, still dealing with very serious situation on 95 southbound, and definitely one that's going to take little maneuvering, take a look, grounds view, 95 southbound, bridge street. and if you really look toward the ground, you notice, there is tons of debris scattered all over the roadway. now, the incident occurred on the southbound side of 95, but the vehicle overturned, and went into the northbound lanes, so you only have one lane only in either direction at this incident scene. if you are traveling in the southbound direction of 95, good idea would be to continue out of the northeast, from the roosevelt boulevard, and then jump on aramingo avenue. you can enter 95 there. i just had someone hit me up on twitter saying, okay, if i

am traveling from center city in the northbound direction, and i want to head out toward trenton, what should dow? well, northbound 95 isn't really that awful just yet. so if you are leaving now, probably not bad idea, to take 95 northbound, however, if you're waiting it out a little bit, maybe 295 in new jersey, would be also something to think about. but again, in either direction, it is one lane only, 95 southbound at bridge. we continue to keep you updated on that. everywhere else is great, in the jean on the schuylkill, 276, 202, lots of good news for the rest of the majors with the exception that this just came into the traffic center. northeast extension southbound beyond quakertown, an accident involving overturned truck, blocking the right lane. ukee, erika? >> torrey, thank you. today's headlines this morning, the us and five arab nations are conducting air strikes in syria against the islamic state military group. now the air strikes against isis confined to iraq. also, overnight, israel said it shot down syrian jet flying in the air space over the

cautious, walking to and from the university of delaware class. >> great, but we never hear follow up. you know, they call anybody, or had any suspect, or anything like that. >> now, police describe the suspects as to black males between 25 to 30 years every age with large to muscular build. they say one has a full beard. the other a goatee, anyone with information should contact newark police. well, now up to the district attorney to decide if anyone will face charges for attack on same sex couple in center city. police release this video of about a dozen people, wanted for questioning after the attack. we're told that police did interview members of that group. we'll let you know when the da makes a decision. well, an airline, not exactly feeling the holiday spirit, the latest fee they're passing onto travelers just during the holiday season. >> also, a mid-air scare, an unruly passenger hauled off a plane and handcuffed. what he did on that plane, to force the pilots to make an emergency landing.

know to maneuver, 95 southbound, right at bridge street. it is an overturned truck. that spilled trash all over the road. the incident occurred 95 southbound, but the truck, actually, landed a little bit on that northbound side, so northbound, and southbound, 95, you have one lane only to get by. now, with that said, we are starting to see some of that 95 rush build ever so slightly, as we approach 530. this will only continue to grow. because we have to get this truck uprighted, which could take a little bit, and as you have noticed we do have a crane on scene. if you are traveling, in the southbound direction, of 95, a good idea, or at least, if you were going to continue on 95 southbound, if that's the direction you're headed, if you are headed out of northeast, stay on the roosevelt roosevelt boulevard, stay on the boulevard, go down through to the schuylkill if you have to head into center city. seventy-six wide open right now, along with the roosevelt boulevard. we'll continue to keep you updated on this for sure. now a look at sports with

morning, everyone, just talking about detours, with my producer, as well. headed out of northeast philadelphia, do you have few options, getting you outside, we describe the incident scene, then talk about alternates. if you are traveling 95, southbound, as erika just mentioned at bridge street, this is the scene of overturned tractor-trailer. debris is snot only spilled in the southbound lanes, but northbound lables, as well, because this truck flipped over to the northbound lanes, while traveling southbound. now, as we zoom into the shot, notice, extremely active scene. also notice we do have crane on scene, as well. flip over this truck, eventually, they're going have to shut down 95 southbound, because reporting traffic for as long as i've been, that's usually the case. so, with rush hour, 95 southbound, could be potentially shutdown. with that being said, let's move to the maps. we will talk about alternates. commuting in the southbound direction 95, if you are headed into downtown philadelphia, if you are headed out of northeast, stay on the roosevelt boulevard, continue down through the
