>> he was brought there as the muscle. he came with the gun, and unfortunately he used it. >> reporter: police say when person opened fire one of the bullets killed iisha, two others critically wounding a 19 year-old man who was helped by a good samaritan. >> he was shot, wounded all right here, blood, nails, and it was just sad. >> reporter: loss of the wonderful young life police say came at the end of what might have have been, just a typical high school feud until they say person arrived with a gun and began firing. >> so something very small and trivial ultimately ended up in this young lady being killed. >> reporter: now captain clark says that the bullet that killed iisha traveled for half a city block, striking her in the back, as she was walking away. she never saw the accused kill her fired that shot. she died minutes later, on the lawn outside of the einstein medical center, the horror of

"eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is live at central detectives with the tea tails now, syma? >> reporter: that is right, chris this story made national headlines now three people are being charged in a brutal beating of a same sex couple in center city. the surveillance video seen around the world, after the

beatings sparked outrage, the victims told police a group of people attacked them as they used gay slurs. today, two men and one woman are facing charges. the attack happened about two weeks ago near 16th and chancellor streets. the the beating left within of the men hospitalized with his jaw wired shut. outrage on social media web sites led to the identities of some of the people in the video. since then some were named persons of interest as they spoke to police. today the district attorney's office has charged three people. twenty-four year-old philip williams, 26 year-old kevin hard again, and 24 year-old catherine in the not, all three from bucks county and all three are facing several charges, including aggravated assault. an assistant coach from the archbishop wood high school basketball team, who resigned after being named a person of interest, has not been charged in this case. the victims who do not want to be identified released this statement saying quote, thank you to the community for their

help and support, as well as the detectives who did a great job gathering details. we are thankful that the d.a. is working so hard to make sure that this doesn't happen again, in philadelphia. police say that this was a complicated investigation, not. >> not everybody is in debt. not everyone was involved in this situation. it is one of those things of getting everybody in, questioning everybody, interviewing and talking tie number of different witnesses and anybody there during this incident, and sorting out and weeding out who was involved and who took part in the assault and moving forward from there. >> reporter: police tell us that the three people charged will turn himself in tomorrow. we are not being charged with the hate crime because pennsylvania hate crime laws do not include sexual orientation. now some lawmakers and lgbt groups want to update that. they will hold a rally on thursday to support legislation change. at central detectives, syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

>> syma, thank very much. well, there are shocking charges tonight begins a local teacher and coach. bill barber, seen here being escorted into his arraignment today. health and pe teacher the garnett valley middle school. tonight he is accused of having a sexual relationship with the 15 year-old high school girl. bash are coached football at a middle school. he was arrested at his home in concord township on a $250,000.01. this trash truck crash created a mess and caused traffic headaches on i-95 throughout the afternoon. it all started around 3:30 this morning. nearly 15 hours ago when the the truck overturn in the southbound lanes, it happened near bridge street and damage guardrail. crews had to close down those lanes to clean up the mess and that backed up traffic all day long. we know truck driver was taken to hahnemann hospital where he was treated for his injuries. this motorcycle crash sent an off-duty philadelphia

police officer to the hospital. it happened near intersection of hunting park and kelly drive around 9:30 this morning. now the department hasn't released details or the cause of that crash, nor have they talk about the officer's injuries. there is still no word on the cause of this row home fire in north philadelphia, it broke out late last night, in the 3,000 block of north ninth street, there were three people hospitalize budd their injuries are not life threatening. now to a scare on the rails, in new jersey, after someone found a suspicious device on a train. harry sent thus eyewitness cam video. he found what was said to be a black box on the seat next to him. he notified the conductor. then all passengers were removed from the train. we spoke with him on the phone and he described what happened. >> i got on the train in trenton and there was a bag and it was a black, plastic box with what appeared to be

like a digital display on it. it was just one of those odd looking boxes. it wasn't just a nap sack. it was a hard case box with a digital display on it. so that made us all nervous. >> he says that the train was eventually cleared and the passengers were set on their way. a whole lot of sunshine out there on this first full day of fall but we are tracking a coastal storm that is set to arrive later this week. the meteorologist kathy orr is live on the cbs-3 sky deck with more, kathy. >> jessica, it is a great afternoon to be outdoors. sunset in just about an hour but that is not a problem. it will be a beautiful evening as well, a few clouds will be rolling in but it is very comfortable outside. take a look at the temperatures, after morning lows in the 40's and 50's, we have listen in the 60's and 07's. right now 71 in philadelphia. allentown it is 72 degrees. average high is 75 for this time of the year. storm scan three you can see

high clouds, moving in especially through south jersey and delaware and that has kept temperatures only in the mid 60's there part of the much larger system, a developing coastal low that is already bringing in some heavy rain to the carolinas moving up the eastern seaboard and bring us heavy rain and gusty wind by late tomorrow night. future weather times it out you can see tomorrow morning, looking at some clouds, moving up from the south, towards philadelphia, becoming cloudy during the day and then by tomorrow evening in south jersey and delaware seeing the rain. by the the 11:00 o'clock hour for "eyewitness news" at 11:00 we will see rain in philadelphia toward trenton. heavier rain overnight thursday, and we will be seeing it through thursday morning's commute and you can see some heavy rain tapering off, by thursday afternoon. coming up we will talk about the storm impact from the city to the the shore and when it will be clearing out and a weekend warm up unusual for the fall season. we will see you later on with the seven day.

clouds rolling n we will start off with some sunshine. day is not a loss at all. cloud will be rolling in. the rain comes in by tomorrow night. this is a strong coastal storm. take a look outside where it is a beautiful late afternoon from new jersey, across the river to philadelphia, just a spectacular day. we have temperatures well in the 70's. our live neighborhood network takes to us middletown ship high school. this is cape may courthouse so down the shore where temperatures mainly in the 60's today because of cloud cover. some high clouds, rolling up from the south, and keeping the clouds around. our live neighborhood network takes to us boardwalk plaza and rehoboth beach, delaware. you can see cloud rolling up from the south, temperatures there as well. only around 62 degrees. at cross the region we are seeing a milk of some clouds and clearing. we can see cloud cover across the shore and south jersey and central and southern delaware. we will see some clearing overnight tonight but the big story is what it is bringing these clouds and that is a developing coastal low with some heavy rain.

filtering in through carolinas and that is moving up the coast overnight and during the day time tomorrow. right now in philadelphia 71. seventy-two allentown. seventy-one in reading. you can see where we have had clouds. that is where we had temperatures in the 60's. to the west 66 in state college. pittsburgh 67. washington a mild 73 this afternoon. we will watch as a developing storm is moving toward the region as high pressure moves away. the high if it were to stay could keep that to the south or push it out towards the north east but that will not be the case. area of low pressure will be winning out and by tomorrow evening we will see rain through south jersey and delaware, by the night time hours through philadelphia and heavier rain right around the morning rush, thursday morning, at 7:00 a.m. you will open the door, pack umbrella, all of the rain gear, kids are at the the bus stop and maybe keep them in the car because it is going to be quite heavy. storm pull as way on thursday. by friday morning we will see things clearing out. the here's a look the a the timing between 8:00 p.m.

tomorrow night and midnight rain arrives from south towards the north. thursday between midnight and 10:00 a.m. heavier rain with wind gusting to 30 miles an hour. and then thursday morning into the afternoon we will see some scattered showers and those showers will be tapering off. as far as rain amounts are concerned, the least amount of rain, toward lehigh valley and poconos half inch to maybe an inch. philadelphia i-95 between one and 2 inches, closer to the shore, closer to the storm and that is where we will be seeing the greates impact. down the shore and inland south jersey between two and possibly up to 3 inches of rain. we are talking about strong impact down the shore, high amount of rain, poor drainage flooding, wind gusting to 35 miles an hour at the height of the storm late wednesday night into early thursday morning. the overnight some high clouds, that is it, quiet night during the day tomorrow high of 75, with rain coming into philadelphia at night. on the exclusive eyewitness weather seven day forecast much cooler with some rain and win on thursday, after that,
