running there will continue to be significant disruptions to air travel in the region as airlines advise passengers to adjust their plans. some airlines are reporting progress. delta said it didn't cancel any flights in to or out of chicago sunday related to friday's fire. the faa says it has been able to steadily increase air traffic and reduce delays. the agency's approach has been to shift management to other radar facilities. now those facilities have had to call in additional help to manage planes taking off and landing in chicago. aviation analyst josh marks says it's less than efficient. >> the faa traffic control center is still based on the 1950s. it has relative limited flexibility. >> they say it's one of the most challenging situations they have faced since 9/11. they've had to juggle jobs they normally don't do. we have just learned the faa

officer saturday night. a police officer was shot by a suspect he was chasing outside a community center. the officer is recovering. and at least two people were killed when a monster truck spun out of control in the netherlands. the truck was part of a stunt show and drove across a row of six parked cars and then plowed into a group of spectators. officials say at least 18 others were injured, six seriously. the truck driver is being questioned. investigators still don't know why a tractor-trailer plowed into a bus load of college softball players saturday night. a criminal investigation is under way though. the crash happened in davis, oklahoma, killing four members of the team from north central college. last night the students came together to pay vigil to the victims in the crash as man yell bojorquez reports. >> reporter: many of the students were asleep.

18-year-old caylee was awake but never saw the bus coming. >> i blacked out. i don't remember the crash ending. next thing i know i'm awake, on my feet, and i hear my coach screaming, girls this way. >> reporter: 15 members were aboard. their coach was driving them back from a game in oklahoma saturday night when the semi crossed the interstate. four players were killed including 20-year-old brooke deckard who's quickly become one of armstrong's best friends. >> to lose someone i've grown so close to so quick, it's crazy. when i heard about it, i i started citing the truck driver, 53-year-old russell staley told investigators he was instructed by something in the cabin. but they say there's no evidence he tried to brake or make an ee vavs maneuver before the crash
