somerset county on sunday morning. now the the exact cause of death is not been determined. the prosecutor's office will only say that the investigation is ongoing and laboratory results are still penning. well, cooper university health released this statement this afternoon and it says we are saddened and shock by what has been reportedded about the death of john sheridan and his wife joyce, their deaths already unbelievably sad are now tragic. our deep condolences go out to john and joyce's family for their terrible loss. also, breaking news today april arrest has been made in the hit and run that injured a seven year-old girl on sunday night a lure maclean suffered a broken foot and ankle, plus some bruises, when she was hit and dragged by a car in west philadelphia. an eyewitness tracked that car and got the license plate and today, 25 year-old jameer banks who you see here turn himself in. he is facing a number of charges tonight. flags are flying at half staff in honor of a fallen

gutted by fire. i spoke with the code enforcement who said all four buildings will have to be demolish. fire fighters say this was a very difficult fire to control. a line of hoses verse a tower of flames overnight in atlantic city. it took about nine hours to get the fire under control and when it was over homes and livelihoods in ruins. five families lived in the apartments above the businesses on the 1100 block of atlantic avenue, many of the victims were members of the korean church whose in members pack up belongings of their distraught friends. how are they doing? >> i just could not even ask them, just so sad. it is very tough. >> reporter: the fire startedded in the alteration shop in the center of the block around 10:00 o'clock tuesday night. it spread north damaging a massage parlor and south taking out an adult book store

officials have confirmed a pediatric case of entero virus 68 in camden county. that is a respiratory illness spreading all across the the nation and there are now seven confirmed cases of entero virus 68 in new jersey. drexel university tests its emergency readiness by conducting a mass casualties exercise. twenty student volunteers and 10e ms workers took part in the drill. scenario here was a hazmat event close to the campus and point of all this was to assess drexel police and emergency medical services response during a potential disaster. two environmental groups announced their intent to sue over valley forge sue i can spill. trout unlimited announced they are providing a 60 day notice of the intent to file suit begins tredyffrin township, against tredyffrin township and its municipal authority. group says that the township violated the clean water act when raw sewage spilled in the will valley creek following a sewer main break back in

life because being distract while walking to school. >> reporter: ward hopes her daughter's story will convince other kids to put down their devices when walking. jericka duncan for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". animal rescue crews spring into action when they see a puppy covered in tar. >> puppy is okay new but we want to warn you you could find that video disturbing. puppy got stuck in tar that spilled out of construction site in northern india. crews used vegetable oil to loosen the tar, after about four hours they finally pulled the dog out. it took several days get that tar off but as you can see now this puppy, perfectly fine, happy and ready to be adopted. a coyote pup injured last may in a california wild fire is running wild, once again, look at him look at her go. she was released after being nursed back to health a few weeks old, when she what had burned she had severe burns and given 50 percent chance of survival. for now she will be trapped to make sure she's able to

accident in the 3100 block of north 15th street in nicetown. >> lets get to our natasha brown she's live at the scene with the breaking details here, natasha. >> reporter: well, we can tell thaw accident investigation teams are just about clearing away the scene here but what remains is the car, involved in what it turns out to be eye tragic accident killing a six year-old boy in the 3600 block of north 15th street this afternoon. lets look at video from moments after this accident happened at 4:05 this afternoon, we understand that the child who was heading home from school, wandered out between park cars along the block and right in the path of this boone buick le saber. six year-old boy was pronounced dead here at the scene. driver did stop immediately and cooperating with police. we spoke with a man a moment ago tried to free the child are underneath the carjacking up the car. he is visibly distraught and says that he saw something that in one should clearly see, that is how tragic of the situation this was and how
