then this. when you walk out the door, first thing in the morning you may be stunned by how cool it is or if you had your windows opened last night as it might have been a routine for you, i'm sure you closed them. look the at the temperature in reading right now. we have 38 degrees. temperatures in the 30's in the area this morning. there is a frost advisory and that is going on up through poconos and scranton for temperatures getting in the middle 30's this morning and that is until 8:00 o'clock this morning up through that area. otherwise we're dealing with lots of sunshine today and we will hang on to that sunshine throughout the entire day basically very few clouds even if you see any at all. things are looking nice there. but boy, is it cold? look at that in the poconos three, 2 degrees. thirty-eight in allentown. forty-two in trenton. 38 degrees in lancaster. we have temperatures in the 40's in south jersey, lower 40's and 52 is the the mildest temperature in wildwood.

"eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is live with the details, syma? >> reporter: well, todd, police are investigating two shootings that happened in different parts of the city leaving five people injured. the first shooting happened, just after midnight, on the 5200 block of delancey street in the cobbs creek section. three people were shot, one is in critical condition. two of the victims are in their 20's and other is 47

years old. two of the men were taken to hup and one walk to mercy hospital. the second shooting took place in north philadelphia, leaving two men injured. that happened around midnight on the 1800 block of east sedgley avenue. one victim is 35 years old, the the other is 40 years old. both were shot in the lower body and they were taken to temple hospital. both are in stable condition. new police are continuing to investigate these separate shootings, right now they have in motive and no arrest that has been made. that is very latest, syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a sick passenger on a flight to newark liberty international airport sets off alarms about a possibly bowl a scare but it turns out to be a false alarm. "eyewitness news" obtain this photo the owe showing medical crews boarding plane once it landed. the flight was coming from brussels but passenger was reportedly from liberia. we're told he was vomiting

during that flight the the cdc was notified and all passenger were quarantined. in the end doctors determined that the man was not infect with ebola. meanwhile in dallas things continue to get worse for thomas duncan, he he is first patient diagnosed here in america. he is new listed in critical condition, but there is better news about the the nine other people came in contact with him. the head of the cdc says none of them are showing any symptoms so far. but the the agency continues to get inquiries from the public, more than 100 people have called in, worried about possibly being sick. >> all of the nine who had definite contact we were able to reach, so we are confident that none of those with definite contact had any symptoms, related to ebola, none of them had fever. >> other than thomas duncan the cdc hasn't confirmed any other cases of ebola here in the united states. meanwhile another sickness is raising concerns in mercer

county, later on tonight health officials will hold a public meeting about enterovirus 68. one child has died and another case is now being investigated. "eyewitness news" reporter matt rivers has very latest from hamilton township. >> when you see photos of the little we'll lie, his personality , leaped off the page. >> reporter: hamilton township mayor, kelly, described young victim of the deadly virus saturday afternoon at a press conference where for the first time we have learn how he died. >> the cause of death was enterovirus d68. >> reporter: eli died over a week ago officials were not sure if the boy died as a result of the virus. that determination was made late friday by mercer county medical examiner's office after receiving test results from the center for disease control. officials say another child in eli's grade was being tested for the the virus, that student was in the different class but got sick same time eli did. he has since recovered as

district officials say facility and students are safe. >> finding out how each and everyone of us are feeling on the daily basis and the attendance at the school on friday was backup to full attendance in that classroom. >> reporter: but for some parents there remains some worry. >> clean and everything but how do you know that your child isn't walking by somebody that is sick. >> what am i supposed to look for, is it something mild or serious or is it everything. >> reporter: health officials stress that this is a virus which means antibiotic drugs won't help. that means prevention is key making sure you wash your hand, cover your mouth when you cough and avoiding contact with those who might be sick. health officials tell us they will be holding another public meeting, sunday night at 7:00 p.m. at steinard high school in hamilton township to address any additional concerns, people may have. we're in hamilton township tonight, matt rivers, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and a tense situation in upper merion township a man there is being accused of holding a woman against her will inside of his home.

a frightening ordeal three kyackers narrowly escaped a shark attack off santa barbara coast. look at their kyack those holes from the great white shark. kyacker were fishing in santa barbara, california on try when they came across the shark. they used a distress call and a nearby fisherman came to their rescue. upside down and he is cleaned to the top of it. so we get the kyack, and we get him on our boat and two other guys that were with him hopped on our boat also and we brought them all three into the landing those same fisherman then rescued three more kyackers in the same area just about an hour later.

a marathoner trying to run from florida to bermuda and inflatable bubble is rescued by u.s. coastguard. he was found about 07 miles off the coast of st. augustine, florida. the coastguard tried to get him to give up his quest on wednesday but refused. crews returned yesterday when a man activated his location beacon because of fatigue. police in breaking ridge, colorado are looking into reports of three shiny objects seen in the sky. officials there say multiple people have called into report the sightings, witnesses say objects sometimes form triangles or straight lines on the horizon, norad is investigating a and local police have alerted the faa. and a beautiful sight in new mexico hundreds of hot air balloon filled the sky at albuquerque international balloon fiesta. this year all 550 pilots were equipped with the tablet computers, capable of running a mapping application that allows them to steer clear of

saturday afternoon after a passenger reportedly from liberia showed possible symptoms of ebola. >> everyone was fine and calm. >> reporter: officials from the cdc dressed in full hazmat gear escorted the sick man and his daughter off the the jet. >> unaudible. >> reporter: more than 200 passengers were detained for two hours, hospital officialness newark confirmed that the man does not have ebola a. in dallas texas ebola patients thomas eric duncan's condition has gone from serious to critical. duncan arrived from liberia last month and was staying at this apartment when he got sick. hazmat crew is an advertised the apartment and relocated four people had been quarantined there. >> pretty scary, something so serious is so close to home. >> reporter: the the cdc has identified nine people who have had had close contact with duncan here in dallas. health officials are monitoring them closely along

in hamilton township. that meeting begins at 7:00 this evening. police are looking for two suspects robbed a with man at gunpoint inside a bensalem hotel. surveillance cameras captured these images of the two men at comfort inn on lincoln highway. police say they income on the door wednesday night, she answered and they forced their way in. we're told suspect stole the victim's cell phone, lap top computer and money. robert rickroad is now charged with driving under the influence of heroin after a head on crash involving a delaware state police car. investigators say rickroad lost-control of the truck around the curve at beaver dam road in harbison sussex county. truck crossed the center line and hit the police cruiser. rickroad and two troopers inside that police car suffered minor injuries. the methodist church's highest court will will decide late they're in whether a minister to officiated at his gay son's wedding can remain a
