but it is bright and beautiful today unlike yesterday when we started with the rain showers. we will move outside and we will find center city looking just lovely this morning and sunnies coming up trying to warm us up. it will not have a lot of success, temperatures this afternoon will be only getting to 60 degrees in most locations but it will be pretty out there. 35 degrees, out in royersford right now. so you can see these temperatures are cold, we will brighten it up a little bit out there and we will see over last couple of hours that the sunnies up but not the temperatures. we have not bad conditions, unless you like it really, really warm, otherwise, we have a frost advisory and you can see that through scranton and wilkes barre and also for finger lakes in new york state. it goes until 8:00 o'clock this morning. obviously we are getting into that season. poconos have just warmed up. they are now at 33 degrees. allentown has dropped to 33. reading 36. 39 degrees in trenton. we have 42 in millville. this is a chilly, chilly start

to the day, it the is 32 degrees colder right now in millville then it was yesterday morning at this point. 23 degrees colder out at the airport in philadelphia and almost, 30 degrees colder in allentown. our temperatures this afternoon will be running some, maybe nine or 10 degrees cooler then yesterday, highs this afternoon, 61 degrees. a lot of numbers there. we will even it out though i think with some of these numbers getting similar during that eyewitness weather seven day forecast, straight ahead, todd? >> carol, thank you. a violent night the in the city of philadelphia, five people are shot in two separate shootings. "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is live at police headquarters with more on the police investigation, syma. >> reporter: well, todd police are investigating these two separate shootings that happened in different parts of the city leaving five people injured. now the first shooting happened, just after midnight the on the 15th 5200 block of delancey street and in the cobbs creek, section, three people were shot, and, one in

critical condition. and this one took place outside a gentlemen's club. two of the victims are in their 20's and another is 47 years old. two of the then were taken to hup and one walked to mercy hospital. the the second shooting, took place, in north philadelphia, leaving two men injured. that happened around midnight on the 1800 block of east sedgley avenue. one victim is 35 years old, the the other is 40 years old. both were shot in their lower bodies, they were taken to temple hospital and both are in stable condition. right new police are continuing to investigate both shootings, no word on a motive and so far, no a arrests have been made. we're live, syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". with fears spreading over ebola virus a close call reported right here in the tri-state area. a sick man is rush to the hospital after getting off the plane at newark liberty international airport. another passenger snapped this photo showing medical crews as

they removed him from his seat. it is believed he was originally from liberia and eyewitnesses say he was vomiting during that flight. the cdc was notified and rest of the passengers were quarantined. fortunately doctors determined he was not infect with the ebola. meanwhile, doctors are keeping a close eye on thomas duncan, the only patient diagnosed with ebola a here in the u. is. his sickness continues to get worse and he is now in critical condition, the cdc is also testing nine other people came in direct contact with him. so far in of them have shown any i am is toms. the the agency has also been swamped with inquiries from the public, more than 100 people have called in with questions about ebola. >> all of the nine, who had definite contact, we were able to reach, so we are confident that in of those with definite contact had any symptoms, related to ebola. none of them had fever. >> other than thomas duncan

the cdc has in the confirmed any other cases of ebola here in the u.s. later on tonight health officials in mercer county will meet with the public to discuss another deadly virus, enterovirus 68, and, died from it, one of the classmates is being tested. we're learning new details in the search for allege state trooper and killer eric frein. court documents say the suspect wrote all is good in a text message just hours before he opened fire outside of a pennsylvania state police barracks in blooming grove. frein's text also said that he was quote heading back to delaware. one trooper was kill, another was injury, authorities are searching for him in the woods along the border of monroe and

tonight's meeting it is being held in stein and high school in hamilton township and that begins at 7:00 tonight. police are looking for two suspects who robbed a woman at gunpoint inside a bensalem hotel. surveillance images of these two men at comfort inn on lincoln highway. police say they knock on the victim's door wednesday night. she answered. they forced their way in. we're told that the suspects stole the victim's cell phone, lap top computer and also some money. robert rickroad is charged with driving under the influence of heroin after a head on crash involving a delaware state police car. investigators say that rickred lost control of his truck, going around a curve on beaver dam road in harbison sussex county on friday. the truck crossed the center line, hit the police cruiser, rickroad and two troopers inside the police car suffered minor injuries. the the methodist church's highest court will decide later this month whether a minister who officiated at his

national museum of american jewish history is glowing pink, buildings around the region right new are turning pink, as it is all part of the lights for the cure campaign, a joint effort by cbs-3 and susan komen philadelphia. the pink light is a reminder for women to schedule a mammogram, october is breast cancer a awareness month. the salvation army is showing off its new community center, this is the ray and joan crook community center in camden. the center is 120,000 square foot state of the art facility that provides programs for the camden community and has activities including a theater, water park, soccer field and baseball fields as well. and hundreds enjoyed this beer fest yesterday, "eyewitness news" at the king of prussia mall, organizers say this is the largest outdoor beer festival in the region. fifty brewers served more than 100 craft and international beers, proceeds from the event will be used to fund economic projects in king of prussia.

ago. now 33 degrees. thirty-three in allentown. thirty-six in reading. 39 degrees in trenton. forty-two in millville, and 52 degrees down in wildwood, 46 degrees at the airport in philadelphia. just a huge change, a a huge difference from yesterday morning. you will definitely feel it going outside. 32 degrees cool they are morning in millville then it was yesterday morning and it is 23 degrees cooler in the philadelphia area at the airport. so notice all of these temperatures, everybody really noticing a definite chill this morning. i have been talking about the dew point because dew point measures the humidity and in moisture in the air. when it is low, it is like a desert. this is very le for us. we have dew points in the the the 30's, in the summertime we can have have them in the 70's. the you can see the difference, you will feel the difference. things are crisp out there as dew point of 32 in trenton and 29 up in the poconos. you can expect to find it up there with those kind of dew points. now our storm scan three is

greens. we will talk about that in a second. it is bright and beautiful. center city philadelphia in the a cloud in the sky here but we will move to the shore, ocean city looks great, not that many people outside on the boardwalk but still looks beautiful. our leaves will be changing and if you are out trying to find something fall-like to do today before these leaves do fall look for really decent changes in the leaves, especially the further north you get. you're looking at if you go far enough to the north we have a high change in the colors and a maryland rate change if you are going to the poconos but it looks great out there at this point and still some green, on the leaves too if you like to hang on to summer. we have a beautiful picture here and this is down in margate, no, not a person on the beach but overnight something driving around. you can see tire tracks on the sand there, storm scan three nothing going on, clear skies, we have to hang on to clear skies all day long. temperatures are coming out of the 30's now. thirty-four in the poconos but 39 in reading. otherwise it is a big warm up in
