morning, being treated for enterovirus d68. this as concern continues to grow, now that this virus has become deadly in the delaware valley. she's described, by his father, beautiful need, striving, caution, and surprise, the four year oley lie waller's life cut short died in his sleep nearby two weeks ago, now the cdc reports the yards ville student tested positive foreign at the owe virus d678. this new jersey community continues to mourn his death, hamilton township school district starts to address the concerns. >> very sadening, and i just want to know, you know, is there a risk of it spreading, how are we going to manage it, and contain the situation, because everyone is worried for their children, and that's where we are now with it. >> school and health officials answer those questions, at steinert high school on sunday. nearly 100 parents and community members attended the town hall meeting where the

school district says it has ramped up cleaning at its schools, even brought in additional staff to dot work. the focus now they say should be on education since d68 is a virus and there is no vaccine, health officials say the best course of action is prevention. >> we're making sure that teach remembers talking to students about how to throw tissues away, making sure that they get to wash their hands, more than one time, during the day, before lunch, after lunch. >> reporter: that superintendent goes on to say, he's meeting with all of his principals later this morning to make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to preventing the spread of this virus, meantime, health officials say wash your hands, cover your cough and your sneezes, in order to help prevent the spread of this virus, also stay away from people who zoom to be sick, and regularly clean and disinfect those frequently touched surfaces cents, of course, if you believe your child is sick, consult your healthcare provider. live outside of chop, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> thank you, developing right

now, child from liberia is at bay health kent general hospital in dover. the child was brought there because of possible symptoms of ebola. the hospital tells us that the cdc is not testing the child, because the likelihood of ebola is solo. meantime, officials are monitoring ten people in texas, that may have had contact with the only patient to be diagnosed with ebola in the u.s. thomas eric duncan remains in critical condition, a week after being placed in isolation. meantime, after the cdc retested doctor rick sacra for ebola and results came back negative. they believe he came down with a respiratory infection after being successfully treated for the virus. also, an american cameraman is reportedly back on us soil, after being diagnosed with ebola in liberia. the cdc says the goal is to stop ebola in its tracks. >> as long as the outbreak is continuing in africa, there is a risk in other places. >> an outbreak anywhere is

potentially a threat everywhere. >> reporter: officials are also monitoring this homeless man, who shared an ambulance with duncan for symptoms. the director of the cdc is scheduled to brief president obama on the current ebola situation today. it is now 5:04. let's check on the traffic and weather together today. see what's happening. katie, good morning. >> looks like pretty quiet day overall, good morning, everybody, we had beautiful day yesterday. but if you stepped outdoors, at all in the morning, especially, you definitely notice the change, right? and, sure enough, had to break out the scar of this morning, i can tell you this much, though, looking at much milder day as we go forward in the forecast, we are still off to chilly start. this is classic wear your layers in the morning, you can probably get rid of them later in the day kind of scenario. storm scan3 quiet. we are still under the influence of high pressure, but you can see the wet weather off to the west here. not a very pronounced system, but we are going to see warmfront followed up by cold front. that's going to mess with the mid week little bit here. currently still at 50 degrees

for quite sometime, it is a disable vehicle, turning into pretty more serious fuel spills. so that's going to be out there for quite sometime for clean up. elsewhere in jersey we start off in jersey right now, a lot of problems all over the place, 42 freeway, looking pretty great at creek road. northbound towards the city see headlights coming in right there, actually moving along nicely so far. but elsewhere in jersey not looking too good. al almonnessing road closed at delsea drivement take gateway boulevard. erika, back over to you. >> jess, thank you. new this morning, police looking for the shoot here killed man in west philadelphia. investigators tell "eyewitness news", a 35 year old man was shot in the chest. it happened at 60th and girard avenue, just before midnight t the unidentified man was taken to the hospital where he died. also, new this morning, man is shot several times in north philadelphia. it happened on the 2300 block of west somer seat have street around 1:30. police say they responds today report of shots fired. and found the victim

unconscious with several gunshot wounds. he is at temple university hospital now. no word on his condition. and funeral services will be held later this morning for trooper david kedra of the pennsylvania state police. trooper kedra tragically lost his life in the line of duty during training accident on tuesday. family and friend gathered last night for his viewing in northeast philly. trooper kedra enlisted in the state police back in june of 2012. he was only 26 years old. and a philadelphia highway patrol officer is recovering after crashing his motorcycle on 95. this was the scene last night near the academy road exit in the northeast. we're told the officer wasn't seriously injured. a bucks county psychiatrist accused of abusing three patients is scheduled to go on trial today. prosecutors say doctor shawheat, un appropriately touched eight patients at his doylestown office. victims 13 to 33 years old.

>> greek "action news" today, police investigating deadly accident in westville, gloucester county. a car crashed into a tanker truck at delsea drive and almonessing road around 3:00 this morning. so far no information on the victim of this crash. the centers for disease control confirms a mercer county four year old died last month from enterovirus duffle 6789. sickened people in 43 states, almost all of them children. developing story, the american news cameraman sickened by ebola in west africa is back in the u.s. for treatment. meanwhile, the first person diagnosed in the u.s., thomas duncan, in critical condition. another close call in the tense manhunt foreman want in

the ambush for two pennsylvania police troopers. eric managed to slip away. hundreds of troopers scoured tree nursery in the poconos for hours yesterday. but, they came up empty. frein has been on the run for almost a month now, after he allegedly killed one trooper and injured another. we're getting new information about an american aid worker being held captive by isis militants. the parents every peter received letter from him in june, in which he said he feared for his life. he was originally from indianna, overseas working with syrian refugees, until he was cents taken hostage in october of last year. his parents had been working with a team of experts hoping to secure his release. a fire at the flight 93 memorial in shenksville, pennsylvania, appears to have been an accident. investigators are now saying there is no indication of foul play. but it is still may be weeks until they find the exact cause. although the memorial itself

morning, and concern is growing about this virus, especially, since that new jersey boy, who died just few weeks ago, has determined to have died because of enterovirus d68 as confirmed by the cdc. this is that boy. he was cents four years old, eli waller, went to yardville elementary school in hamilton township, new jersey, eli died had his sleep nearly two weeks ago now, but the cdc just confirmed few days ago that the child had enterovirus, and yesterday, parents and community members gathered for a town hall meeting at steinert high school to address their concerns. officials answered questions about how the school district is handling what's happened. they say, they've ramp up cleaning at the schools, even brought in extra staff to help sanitize classrooms top to bottom. other than that, health officials say, fighting this virus becomes about educating since d68 is a virus with no vaccine, health officials say focus needs to be on prevention. >> we're making sure that teach remembers talking to students about how to throw ss
