"eyewitness news" reporter jane carabao is live at school district headquarters to explain this for us, jan. >> reporter: natasha and erika, good morning. teachers union says don't expect a teachers strike because of what the src has done but that doesn't mean students don't plan to take action of their own. they are organizing on line,

facebook and they plan to have a strike of their own today. organizers are asking philadelphia students to printout flyers and not go to class instead stand outside in support of their teachers. >> minutes after school reform commission suddenly and unilaterally canceled its labor contract with the philadelphia federation of teachers outcry was heard from students, parent, union in members alike calling the move disrespectful and cowardly. >> it is like they can do whatever they want. >> just one more hit we have had to take, from a system that doesn't care about what we do. >> reporter: teachers were blind sided, on monday src announced it will force union members to pay into their health care benefits. it will amount to 55 to $150 a month based on a teachers salary. teachers says this will send 44 million-dollar back to schools this year and 200 million-dollar over the next four years, study funding that the district desperately needs

"eyewitness news". philadelphia police are investigating a five car collision that sent two people to the hospital this was the scene just before 2:00 at second and erie in north philadelphia. a 23 year-old man is hospitalized with a broken leg, a 26 year-old man was also hurt, at last check he was in stable condition. there is no word yet what caused the accident. also new this morning a passenger is kick off a flight after an argument with the pilot, lisa carter knight is stranded in philadelphia this morning after the jet blue pilot forced her off her flight in boston last night. the the mechanical delay, the pilots said a passenger accused him of being drunk. carter knight tweeted about the delay and she tells "eyewitness news" that is why she was removed from the plane. >> i was just doing what i do with my kid, sharing information with my friend that i was frustrated, i was sitting there without a flight home and i missed my children and now i'm here at 1:00 in the morning with my mother who had surgery this week toned

pick me up because jet blue pilot made a decision to kick me off his flight. >> jet blue released a statement saying quotas a precautionary measure a sobriety test was conduct. the test demonstrated the pilot was sober and he was cleared to perform his duties.
