memory. today, is saturday, october 11. good morning, everyone, i'm todd quinones. meteorologist, carol erickson, liver in the cbs-3 skydeck with eyewitness weather. good morning, carol. >> todd, the umbrella is back. rain starting to pick up just little bit once again. you will find that out in your neighborhood, as women, as it gets little heavier, little lighter. that's the trends through the morning hours, but i think by noon, we should be seeing some improvement. let's take a look, see what we have out there right now. we've got the cooler temperatures, with readings in the 40's now, in some locations cents, pennington, 49, you've got 49 in broomall, 48 degrees in bethlehem this morning, and dover, 52 degrees, one of the warmer spots. storm scan3, you can see, there it is, it is cents covering a lot of us, new york sit, down through washington, d.c., philadelphia, and it is not easy east to find a clear sy around here at this point. that's going to be coming for tomorrow. for today, for right now, cool, and it is rainy. so, when you're headed outside today, make sure you have got

your rain jackets on, keep your pets in, out of this rain. it is kind of colds out here. fifty-three in philadelphia, 50 in the rain in trenton, 54 in the rain in the wilmington area. forty-four in the rain up in the poconos. by noon, we're looking at 58 degrees, temperatures by that point, may not yet have hit 06 degrees. by 3:00 p.m., they probably will have a temperature of 60 degrees, cloudy, with maybe a sprinkle in a couple of spots, we are expecting to find some of the clearing skies coming in here, and you can see, as we time this out, by 10:00 o'clock, computer model says that we start to see some of this leave by noon, we still have some through philadelphia, but by 4:00 p.m., it is gone. and then we are looking at some of the clearing skies, moving in, and it is cents a lot better looking day, coming up for us tomorrow, when i come back, we will talk about a forecast that's got some temperatures i think you will like if you like something a little bit more summer like. when i come back, todd. >> all right, carol. new this morning, philadelphia police are investigating a

homicide in north philadelphia. police were called out to 25th and nicholas just after 2:00 to find a 28 year old man, shot inside his car. the victim was returned to temple university hospital where he was pronounced dead, no word on a suspect this morning. investigators are withholding the victim's name, as they wait to notify family members. now, to a story you'll see only on "eyewitness news", a savage attack caught on camera, our diana rocco shows us surveillance video capturing an altercation in fairmount that ends with a man unconscious in the streets. >> the eyewitness video is chilling, a 24 year old man is attack from behind, and left unconscious, lying in an intersection, after he confronts a group of kids on bikes. >> by the time i got to him, yes, it was about maybe 30 seconds later. so regained consciousness, very disoriented, very serious concussion, pretty large injury on his face. >> i didn't think that it would get to the point with all of the cars around, that there actually would be an

altercation in the street. >> a couple who asked not to be identified, watching from their apartment window, was able to rush to the man's aid, while calling police, and shooting this cell phone video. it happened thursday, around 9:00 p.m. at 19th and fairmount, police say, group every ten to 15 minors on bikes were riding through the streets, hitting cars with sticks, when the victim asked them to stop. >> it was really -- people were getting upset. we became pretty concerned somebody would get hurt. >> the group circles on theirs bikes, one throws water bottle at the victim, another suspect punches him from behind, leaving the man lying unconscious and bleeding in the intersection. >> he went down pretty quickly, and he didn't move after that. i was really concerned. i stayed with him for holding pressure on his face. >> the same group surrounded a couple on lombard street half hour earlier while they were stopping at an intersection, and tried to pull the woman passenger from the car. short time later, police arrested a 16 year old, and two, 12 year olds from the oxford neighborhood. but believe more are involved.

>> there is a digress i have nature to it, that's specially disturbing. >> the victim was taken to hahnemann hospital with a fractured jaw. that will had to be wired shut. the three juveniles who were arrested were charged with aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy. police continue to review the surveillance video, and it is possible more arrests may follow. outside central detectives, diana rocco, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". prosecutors in north jersey file charges against seven student at say err ville high school. six of those students are in custody this morning, it all stems from allegations cents of hazing on the school's football team. the middlesex county prosecutor filed aggravated sexual assaults, and criminal restraint charges against three of the students. the other four facing aggravated criminal sexual contact charges. you may recall, the football season was canceled, when hazing allegations came to light earlier this week.

death after patient, thomas duncan is first person to die from the disease, in the u.s. newly-released medical records show his temperature was 103 degrees, when the hospital sent him home. meanwhile, an ebola joke that sparked a scare on flight from philadelphia to the dominican republic shows airlines are taking ebola seriously. crews in hazmat suits boarded the plane and removed the pass inning here told the joke. joe mccann was on the flight and spoke exclusionly to "eyewitness news". >> certain things you can't say, not something you can joke about these days. you can't make a joke like. that will you know, over 200 people on that flight. and he almost ruined vacation or where ever other reasons were down here, for what he thought was as stupid joke. >> the dominican health officials say the passenger does not have ebola, and has never been to an affected area, five airports will be will begin enhance ebola screenings for travelers arriving from west africa this weekend. coming up in our next half

hour, a local church is working to send aid to ebola victims in liberia, our steve patterson will have a live report on how you can help them. and developing right now, k-mart says an undisclosed number of credit card numbers were stolen during a month-long data breach of its payment system. k-mart does not believe any names or social security numbers were obtained by the hackers, the data theft that k-mart is the late that's string of breaches, at big retailers, including target, michael's, and also home depo. smiling and wise cracking with reporters convicted mob boss, joey merlino, made public reappearance in philadelphia yesterday. he was in federal court to challenge new allegations that could lands him back behind bars. have some rain. it is coming down. it is coming down hard enough now that toyed breakdown and once again pick up this umbrella let's take a look and see what we have out there at this point. you can see, we are dealing with rain showers, storm scan3, shows them, they're through the philadelphia area, we expect to find them all morning long. we're going to be looking for this rain to clear out, though, little bit later on this afternoon. 53 degrees, the temperature right now, in philadelphia, 50 in trenton, 54 in wilmington, it is 50 in allentown, 55 in millville, but just feels colder because of the rain. we do have this morning rain. this weekend, 61 for our eventual high temperature this afternoon, with some slow clearing coming in. but at least it gets better later on today. sunday, sun, clouds, will definitely be better day with the temperature of 64 degrees. we have got temperatures that will barely make 60 degrees, and in some cases cents they won't make 06 degrees today with the rain, with the front to our south, low pressure rides along that, and that's why we're getting this rain. now, tomorrow, we get some high pressure building in

briefly, little front of ours comes back to the warmfront, will start to push the temperatures up to 07 degrees by monday, with another area of low pressure possibly triggering couple of showers later on monday. now, as we go through this morning, at 8:00 we do have some rain showers, that are out, there in every single location, may get heavier on the shore areas, but notice by 10:00 they start to clear out to the west, and then by 1:00 p.m. they are still around, and number of spots, but they do start to get out of here, 4:00 p.m., many areas have dried out, maybe not all, by midnight, oh, yes, it is cents clear around here, clear, and chilly, and them tomorrow looks like beautiful day with the sunshine that's coming up. doesn't stay that way for long, though, because even on monday we start to pick up chances cents of some showers as we move on into the afternoon hours. we could be finding a few more again on tuesday. our temperatures at this point are in the 50's, our rainfall amounts, going to be get to go about a quarter to third of an inch. according to this computer model by the time this is all

70 degrees, by tuesday, 76, wednesday, 70 degrees, and thursday: -- 68. could be dealing with showers on the tuesday-wednesday time period with maybe thunderstorm and just some garden variety showers coming up for us by the time we get to monday. so, a pretty much unsettled week. you know, i did a story yesterday, and i want to share it with you again today. about burlington county town that voluntarily shutdown two of its prime air wells, an industrial solvent and cleaner, and it is classified as likely carcinogen, turned up in the water from those wells. at this point there is cents no federal standard on how much is too much or how much should be in there at all. so, this is why the voluntary shutdown. it was first detect in the march of lasts year, in moorestown. >> homeowner veronica john hughes of moorestown is easy fall clean up, surface dirt. but at the water treatment plant on church street, township of moorestown, much deeper and more difficult

received. cbs news correspondent omar villafranca with the latest from dallas. >> the family of the first ebola fatality in the u.s., thomas eric jeong dan, released 1400 pages of medical records to the associated press. the files show during his commercial room to the visit two weeks ago, down at any had 103 degrees fever. he also complains of dizziness, a headache, and severe and al pain which he rated eight out every ten. >> even after telling hospital staff he just came from west africa, they sent him home with antibiotics and tylenol. >> if you went to the hospital with a fever of 103 degrees, no doctor would send you home. >> he returned to the emergency room two days later. ebola virus killed duncannon wednesday. that will statement, texas health presbyterian defended its care every duncan saying we made changes to our in take process as well as other procedures, better screen for

' none is asking for donations, so they can quickly sends those donations overseas, and get those folks some help. they need some supplies, and the supply need is vital. we spoke to one pastor, who said that the need is so great, that they need action now. >> people can live. they can eat. they can be nourished, and then, also, people over in
