real estate right now, right here in your local area, even if you currently have no cash, no credit, and no real-estate experience. and here to tell you all about is your host, suzanne sena. >> hi, everyone. i'm suzanne sena. my very special guests today, scott and amie yancey, say regardless of your current financial situation or experience level, they can show you how you could start making money in real estate right now, and they're hosting a free event here in your hometown to show you exactly how to do just that. scott and amie, thank you both for joining us today. >> thanks for having us. >> it's great to be here. >> you know, you both have made millions of dollars doing real-estate deals all around the country. and, of course, you have the number-one-rated daytime tv show on the a&e network, "flipping vegas," and that follows you around as you continue to make money on even more deals. you're very successful, clearly, and you're obviously very, very busy. so, tell us what inspired you to take the time that's necessary to start hosting these free events? >> well, you know, it's kind of
2:31 am
crazy. we really love our fans, but what would happen is every week, a new episode would air of our show, and we would get all these e-mails. and since we love our fans, of course we want to respond to all of them, but what was happening is we were finding ourselves on monday, like, wow, 1:00, 2:00 -- it's a busy monday, and we haven't even got to our own business of real estate because we're replying to everybody's e-mails. so by doing live events, that was the answer. we were able to reach out then to hundreds of people at one time and let them know about the great opportunities right now and how they can get involved. >> and we know, suzanne, that people are hurting. they have no cash. their credit has been wiped out. i mean, we get it. that's why we're doing these live events -- to teach them our strategies that work for us and can work for them. >> yeah, and when we started, we had none of our own cash or credit. in fact, my first year, when i branched out on my own, using the strategies that we still use every day and we teach our students, i netted over $2.3 million my first year.
2:32 am
>> millions? millions of dollars? >> millions -- without any of my own cash or credit. >> that's incredible. and your strategies -- do they work all across the country, in every state and every city? >> absolutely. where amie and i live in vegas, sure, there are huge opportunities, but we invest in real estate all across the country. >> you just need to learn how to find the best deals and how to profit from them. >> and that's exactly what we teach you at our live event, and it works, right where you live right now. >> millions of viewers watch and love your "flipping vegas" show on the a&e network. congratulations on that, by the way. but i understand that fixing up distressed properties and flipping them for big profits, like you do on your show, is really just one of the many real-estate strategies that you use to make money. is that right? >> yeah, absolutely. i mean, obviously, we have a lot of fun on the show. anyone who's watched -- hopefully, all of you -- have seen that demo's probably my favorite part. but, also, i don't want to scare viewers off at home. most of the time, when we purchase properties, we never have to swing a hammer, we don't lift a paintbrush. and, again, don't worry -- if you're watching from home and
2:33 am
you don't have credit, you don't have cash, often we still don't use our own funds at all. >> all right, besides flipping properties, which obviously sounds really interesting, tell us some other real-estate strategies that our viewers can look forward to learning at your event. >> well, definitely, probably one of our favorites, which is the buy-and-hold strategy, which has two magic words that goes along with it -- cash flow. i mean, we love flipping properties, but when you flip a property, you only make a profit or your "payday" one time. when you buy and hold, you get paid every single month by your renter, and that's really what we're all after, is that long-term cash flow. that's gonna afford the lifestyle that we want, where we don't have to go to that job every day. and if you have a bunch of money or your credit is excellent, it's probably not a problem for you to go out and purchase a bunch of cash-flow properties. but if you're like amie and myself and you're starting out with nothing, then we're gonna teach you how to flip properties to generate capital so you can buy properties and buy and hold. and that's the whole key, is that cash flow coming in every
2:34 am
month from your buy-and-hold properties. >> so, what you teach is actually a two-step process that can allow virtually anyone to become a real-estate investor, because, as you say, it doesn't necessarily even require any of their own cash or credit to get started. >> that's right. it's the same exact two-step process i used when i first became a real-estate investor -- not having any of my own cash but then making over $2 million my first year. but the whole key is -- and we teach this a all about the steps. you just have to follow them, step by step by step. >> scott and amie, this is all so exciting, but before we go any further, i need to let our audience know some good news. scott and amie have provided us with tickets to their free event for us to give away to you today on this program. but seating is very limited, so if you want to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn how to make money right in your hometown from two of the most successful real-estate millionaires in america today, listen up. here's how to get your free tickets. >> announcer: get ready,
