. from the cbs-3 broadcast center in philadelphia. this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". it is columbus day, october 13th, good morning, i'm ukee washington. >> i'm erika von tiehl. stories we're following today, veteran, eagles fans, who since outside the linc during home games he said a woman stole his prosthetic leg before last night's blow out win against the giants. >> happening today, philadelphia prepares to celebrate the life of legendary sportscaster bill campbell who passed away last week at the age every 91. >> one of the nurse who is cared for the nation's first ebola pain sent now infected herself. how crews are now trying to keep this disease from spreading further. those stories, much moran the eagles win last night, all coming up in just a bit. let's start with the forecast. >> always happy to see 70 degrees mark in october,

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo just spoke with that man, she joins us outside the linc with the information, jan, good morning.

>> reporter: erika, ukee, good morning, the victim in this case just got his prosthetic leg back seven hours after he says it was stolen from him here at the linc outside of last night's eagles game. we were able to speak to him just a short time ago outside of south detectives as he got his leg backment take a look at the video, you can see him right there. that's sunny force junior, viet nam war veteran, using prosthetic leg for years now, he since and performs outside the linc at the sports complex during eagles games. last night around 8:30, as the eagles took on the giants, he said group of women start today dance and surround him. he says they were inebriated. one of the women he said sat on his lap, broke his microphone. next thing you new, the next thing he knew, she took his prosthetic leg from the back of his motorized wheelchair and ran off t later found around 1:00 in the morning at the olney transportation center, and to make matters worse, yesterday was his birthday, one he'll never forget.

>> she need to get down on her knees and pray to god that that doesn't happen to her or she doesn't get sick or become disable and she should go ahead and use her brain for more than just a beer bottle or liquor bottle. >> now, police say, there are no suspects at this point. they are going to be taking a look at septa cameras at the olney transportation center to see if they can fine some leads, to suspect in this case, possibly seeing a woman drop off his leg at the station there. in the meantime, force is in good sports, smiling as he thanks police for their hard work. reporting live outside of the link, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> january john, thank you. as for the birds itself, the game here, the birds crushed the giants 27 to nothing, picking up first shut out in almost two decades. nice monday to wake up to. ukee has full recap coming up in sports. right now, though, 4:33, our back to work forecast, waking up with big old smile on their face. >> as they should.

we have however some weather complications cents to discuss here there is will be an interesting week, because we have very large system brewing right now, way back off to our west, combination after warmfront, starting to lift to the area, not until wednesday into thursday that we actually see the main system roll through our area. but "skycam 3", as we take a look now, generally just cloudy outside. we go next to storm scan3, we actually did see a little bit of activity out here on the radar in the last couple of hours. in fact, i had few sprinkles on my own windshield driving no work. don't be surprised if you see. that will but this is about all you'll find out here on the radar at any point today. more than anything, it is as cloudy day, we are tracking a warmfront, lifting through, so that's allowing not only with the cloud cover overhead, but also cents he the warmer area starting to build, in real nice surplus on the thermometer readings in yesterday there is same time, under the clear sky. yesterday was very cool morning, very crisp, fall-like, but this morning does feel little bit milder. and, you know, of course the thermometer reflect that, 57 the current temperature at

car. she was partially ejected, when the car flipped on its side. officials are still investigating the cause of that crash. happening today, funeral services cents for one of the original voices cents of philadelphia's sports. bill campbell. also known as the dean. mass starts at 11:00 a.m. christ the king church in campbell passed away last week, he was sports brought cast err for the philadelphia warriors, 76ers phillies and eagles. he was 91. >> great man, great broadcaster, indeed. >> right now 4:37. community comes together to honor a young live cut short. >> three year old innocent girl caught in the crossfire in grays ferry more than two months ago, young mother tamika lost her daughter. she was killed by a stray bullet while sitting on the steps getting her hair braided. community activist upset over the violence organized day of service and prayer for her family.

drunk behind the wheel. >> robert hixon free on bail this morning. he faces a host of charges including homicide by vehicle and dui. investigators say the 55 year old hit two friends near the corner of milltown road and heritage park drive in wilmington. happened just after 1:00 o'clock sunday morning. nineteen year old steven devario pronounced dead at the hospital, 20 year old friend treated for minor injuries and released. oscar pistorius meanwhile now in a south african courtroom, last month a judge convicted the olympic runner in the killing of his girlfriend, reeva steenkamp. conviction for culpable homicide or negligence killing is at the judge's discretion, can range from suspended sentence and fine up to 15 years in prison. we will stay this. >> up close look at the fight against isis. >> the latest on the desperate battle to keep the t terror group from capturing keyboard err town. when we come right back.
