to always think ebola when anyone comes in the hospital presenting symptoms. >> fact that the nurse contractede bowl's though she had taken precautions has many medical professionals on alert. >> health reporter stephanie stahl has more on what the cdc is recommending. >> reporter: loss of concern about this. we have routinely been checking in with local hospitals who say they are ready to handle any potential ebola patients but the local nurses union say they are not. this comes as federal health officials are urging the nation's hospitals to ramp up preparation and review procedures for treating infect patients. >> care for patient with ebola requires meticulous attention to detail and we are looking at every aspect to make it more safe and easier. >> reporter: cdc says it will double down on training and outreach on how to safely treaty bowl a patients, locally we have check with the organization that represents hospitals, about ebola preparations. a statement from the hospital and health system a association of pennsylvania says in part, hospitals in the

the philadelphia region to treaty bowl a patients. they also want precautions taken such as effective isolation procedures and infection control education for all hospital employees. now, the the philadelphia health department told us last week they have been working with local hospitals to make sure all precautions are being taken. >> wow. >> very important. >> stephanie, thank you very much. well, a disabled vietnam veteran has his prosthetic leg back tonight but just who took it last night at the link remains a mystery. that leg was stolen as that man sat in a wheelchair outside that eagles game. our walt hunter has his story. >> i'm done, i'm not ambulatory. this is supposed to be city of brotherly love. >> reporter: disabled veteran sonny forest recalls how hard it was trying to make his way in the south detective division in the early morning hours, after his prosthetic leg was stolen by a woman as he sat on the scooter performing songs outside of lincoln financial field at the

eagles game. >> i got you. >> reporter: supported by an officer he had just received the got news hours later that his stolen leg had been recovered, aboard a subway train at fernrock station, although, the suspect who forest last saw race ago way with his leg, was still on the loose. >> she was cutting between some cars and three other girls ran behind her, and she was gone, then i said oh, man my leg is gone. >> reporter: his leg reattached, forest was now able to make his way down the steps and out of the police station, but not without first giving a hug to the officer who help him, and, a suggestion for how the the thief who stole his leg, should be punished. >> i would like an apology, that is all, and then go work for some older people that don't have limbs and stuff like that and then you'll see how it feels when you cannot get around. >> reporter: add to go this hateful crime detectives in the south division say leg was

stolen on forest 57th birthday, they are looking for a woman in her mid 20's wearing an eagles jersey and they hope surveillance video from the stadium complex or septa will help lead to an arrest. at south detective division walt hunter, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". septa reached a tentative contract agreement with its rail engineers today this agreement which includes a 13.32 percent pay raise comes after five years of negotiations. engineers have been working without a contract since 2010. tonight authorities trying to figure out what caused a two alarm house fire in delaware county. that fire moved out around 3:30 this afternoon on the 200 block of south springfield road in clifton heights. it took fire fighters an hour to bring those flames under control, there are no reports of any injuries. another fire, ripped through a local dance studio and tonight authorities believe it was work of an arsonist this broke out around 4:30 at bucks county dance studio in bensalem. investigators tell us they have found evidence to suggest

southeasterly wind 64 in philadelphia, millville and wildwood, some 50's toward the the poconos. combine the two and we are seeing some fog. here are some of the poor visibility numbers, the the poconos visibility down to zero, and allentown, lancaster and even reading down to 2 miles. atlantic city down to two and a half miles. those numbers are expect to go lower overnight. a foggy start to the day, it will be a foggy evening as well, temperatures will stay in the 60's, right through the evening period. then all eyes on our next weather maker bringing showers and even thunderstorms mid to late week that is something to keep an eye on. for now we will talk about the foggy start to the morning coming up, also the huge warm up followed by those late storms, in that seven day forecast, i'll have more late inert broadcast when i join you inside. >> kathy, thanks very much. isis militant have taken control of the military training cam in western iraq and now they have their sights set on the iraqi capitol of

baghdad. isis has made it 15 miles from the baghdad airport as of tonight. they have launched attacks on the town of canani on the syrian border and with turkey. a as cameras rolled on the fighting. isis is doing battle inside of the area with kurdish fighters. the meantime there were bombing strikes in baghdad in a mostly shiite neighborhood. at least 30 people were believed to have been killed. well, a husband and wife from our area saw firsthand the chaos that isis leaves in its wake, overseas for humanitarian efforts they have watched as violence biasis resulted in waves of refugees. the couple talk with "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson. >> i don't feel as though, you know, we have escaped, by the skin of our teeth. >> reporter: in the next minute and a half you may disagree with debbie and jim fine since mid 70's they have donahue man tear yan tours overseas dedicated to peace and stability in the middle east. he is a policy worker, she's an educator.

they could be click bait. tonight on "eyewitness news" click at your own risk, the latest cyber threat that is tricking internet users into clicking on a link that is not what it seems. we will show you what to watch out for tonight at 11:00. new developments in the hazing scandal tonight, seven football players from sayreville, new jersey now face sex crime charges. now it looks like the football program may be over for longer then expected. diana massato from w cbs in new york has more. >> student at sayreville high school returned to classes after a weekend that saw seven fellow students arrested and many more rallying behind their alleged victim. >> i want to praise the young men, who did speak up. >> reporter: police arrested seven football players ranging from 15 to 17 years old among other crimes, three face charges of aggravated sexual

assault and criminal restraint while four others face charges of aggravated criminal sexual contact. source tells cbs-3 that the students could be charged as an adult and superintendent reportedly is considering suspending the program, beyond just this year and says the abuse may have been going on before this season. >> we came here in support of the victim, and also, the fact that we're against bull anything this town. >> reporter: news comes day after hundreds turnout for a rally in support of the four players allegedly abused in the scandal. >> i'm hoping they will feel strong enough to come back to school, and like when i come back to school me and my friend will sit there. >> we are monitoring all of our students, stream willly closely and giving obviously particular attention to the children on the football team. >> district says it is suspending those seven students charge in the scandal as criminal investigation continues. at sayreville high school diana massat o for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". philadelphia sports fans are remembering one of of the

greats tonight, sportscaster known as bill campbell known as the dean was laid to rest today. family and friend gathered for his funeral in christ the king church in haddonfield. bill campbell passed away last week at the age of 91. today was a time to look back and remember his legendary voice. >> you know, i had so many great experiences with bill campbell because he was philly to the ninth power, and as i said, he was best commentator. >> bill campbell was survived by his daughter, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. another atlantic city a attraction is selling for a fraction on of the worth. here's a live look at pier shops at caesars. it was once a booming mall full of high even shops and now sparsely rented. reports say that philadelphia developer bart blatstein is buying it for pennies on the dollar. but he promises a major transformation of the pier shops, this comes just after the sale of the revel for 95 percent less, then what it

the north and it won't be the case tonight. tonight we are talking about some fog but that could be a cause for a slow down come tomorrow morning. outside we are looking at conditions that are not so great, more of a nuisance then anything else, temperatures are falling as well, live neighborhood network takes to us nazareth the in the area middle school where temperature is 58. easterly wind light, you can see clouds throughout the afternoon and, some foggy conditions, and that will be what everyone is talking about. storm scan three you can see to the east of this storm system we are looking at dry conditions, for the the most part aside from our drizzle this evening, but you can see all this red those are tornado watches a and this large storm system is slowly progressing eastward and that is in our future by mid to ladder period of this week. first things first in philadelphia you can see temperatures in the 60's from the 95 corridor to the south and east. north and west 50's in the allentown and poconos. to the west you can see a

little bit of a snipit have of 80's and then, and, and where we have the and frontal system, and strong storm system that is bringing severe weather to the west. temperatures in the 07's with the strong southerly win. wednesday we will see some showers and storms especially to the north and west of philadelphia, looking at temperatures getting close to 80, like you saw, already through the tennessee, and, a bit closer and moving through late wednesday and thursday but by the time thursday rolls around it moves out. temperatures will be in the 70's but there is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms and some models are suggesting thursday will be the very rainy day. you can see starting off the clock wednesday morning where we will see some showers, especially to the west, and then as the front progresses eastward we will see showers ahead of it and during the afternoon a line of showers and then are storms, heavy rain you can see in the red, orange and then system moves out. so an inch or two possible

with this for early estimates. overnight cloud which areas of fog getting more dense, low temperature of 58 degrees. our future visibility shows comes tomorrow morning visibility down to a tenth of a mile in the poconos, .7 in philadelphia and trenton only .4 of a mile. so that could be an issue you come tomorrow morning and certain spots. for your tuesday, after the fog lifts we will see partly sunny skies, pleasant high of 78, and on the exclusive eyewitness weather seven day forecast, wednesday you can see warmer temperatures but then thursday the storms roll through, cooler for friday, saturday and look at sunday high only 64, monday 63. could that be our last major warm up of the fall season? >> it could be. >> but yeah 80's pretty high for this time of the year. >> kathy, thanks. good evening, everyone, still dealing with a lot of volume out there and surprisingly for a holiday but those are the delays that
