4:34 am
today, other than the fact that it is milder and brighter outside. and that's still the breeze. that's just because we're sitting between areas of pressure. when you think about when you walk down the streets in center city and you have got the highrise buildings right next to you, it sets up almost that wind tunnel effect. that is what we've got going on here, called the pressure gradient. larger scale, low pressure pulls away, high pressure tries to pull in inbetween, you get the winds kicking in. so not necessarily much more than a breeze that will be noticeable here today, won't be quite as windy as yesterday it was. you look at the current wind speeds, yes, breezy outside, actually what will keep us from seeing any frost develop out there as temperatures start to drop off little bit more readily here under the clearing sky. yes, talking wind speeds into the teens at this hour, still out of the northwest, so chilly breeze, current temperature readings are generally from the low to mid 50's, out in new castle, at 56 right now, here in the neighborhood network, hammonton checking in at 50, burn ville at 54 this hour. lets he is take you through the day planner.
4:35 am

4:36 am
four lanes open, throughout the afternoon rush. so do you want to plan accordingly for. that will looking at the wide speed censors are great, 55 on 95, lots of green on the schuylkill expressway, just how we like it, 95 looking great in delaware county, 476, the turnpike, so on, so for the. an accident, west chester park, try to avoid that area if you can. new york city is now dealing with its first case of ebola. doctor craig spencer is the fourth person diagnosed with ebola in the u.s. video from the new york post shows an ambulance with police escort rushing spencer to bellevue hospital where emt's wearing hazmat suits were de contaminated. spencer likely exposed to the vie just earlier this month while caring for the group in ebola. the doctor is telling new york ers don't pant i can. >> we want to say at the outset there is no reason for new yorkers to be alarm. new york, ers who have not been expose today an exposed

paranoid belief he was being watched by cameras, had previously been ex area -- arrested at the executive mansion. all right, 4:42, coming up on 4:43, a check on the forecasts. >> it is a nice one. >> good, good, good. >> good stuff, good stuff. yes, no kidding, first thing, bursting at the seems, i feel like all i've brought in the last few is just blah. >> but you're just the messenger, we know that. >> some people know that. >> the messenger on the bad days, but will take the credit on the good days. >> i'll riel i shall in it while i can. good stuff. you want to make the most of it, and the timing couldn't be better either. coming up on the weekends, a lot of halloween parades, a lot of fall festivals, football games, all sorts of stuff. if you want to be outside, you are going to be able to do so without having to worry about cart ago umbrella along, carting along the rain boots, none of that, because we have high pressure as the main story for days. here's what's up.
4:43 am
storm scan3, still showing the retreat thankfully now that area of low pressure, continues to funnel in couple of clouds. >> this clouds will continue to thin with time. call it generally partly to mostly sunny day as a result. nice wide zoom though shows that there is basically nothing going on out there right now. so high pressure building in for us, next up, out of the southwest, and as it does so of course it will brighten up, will also have a chance to allow us to warm up too. back to much more seasonable territory at this point. >> this will just keep ongoing for us, now, one little minor hiccup that comes along, i mean, such a minor issue, the only thing it will do is knock the temperatures back a smidge, and it is this cold front that crosses through saturday into sunday. it is such a weak front, no wet weather with it for us. maybe a little hint after breeze on sunday, and otherwise, the temperatures just get dropped back by 3 degrees or so. so really not huge deal. sun and clouds in the meantime today, yes, still breezy, but it is definitely not as dreary and, you know, raw as yesterday was. sixty-six for the daytime
4:44 am
high. we drop it down to 48 tonight, pretty typical in terms of temperature here for us. over the next few days little baby roller coaster courtesy of the whimpy front that comes along, but bright ball of sunshine in the sky for the next four, five days. let me step aside, show you the best of what's yet to come here. saving the best for last here on tuesday. 73 degrees with sunshine, and then we start to seymour clouds building in, on wednesday. ukee, back to you. >> katie, thank if you. well, eagles and cardinals in arizona this sunday. cardinals offense has committed fewest turnovers in the national football league, and defense is tops against the runs. so nick foles and eagles have their work cut out for them. birds need win sunday to keep pace with the cowboys six and one. foles had three touchdowns against arizona in a 24 to 21 win last december. coach kel hit bye week to think about last season's game plan and formulate a new one. >> you know, cut and dry, hard and fast, getting in third and seven to ten, what are they

doing in the red zone, just put that together with what they do this year and casino of seeing are there any differences, are there any wrinkles, some of the personnel that played against us last year, not the same as is this year, just trying to figure out how they're going to approach this. >> what says. in chip we trust. eagles defense will have to stop a talented pair of receivers, larry fitzgerald and former first round pick michael floyd, make tough one-two punch. but bird defenders coming out a shut out win, where they sacked eli manning six times. >> no matter if we have good game like we did against the giants or we struggle for couple of quarters, no matter, what the goal of every defensive team in the league really is are we getting bet they are week, are we bet they are week than we were last week. can we build on what we d you are always in that win, in the shut out we had many mistakes that we have got to get corrected. >> can't wait t has been too long. last night's prime time game the broncos peyton manning added three more touchdown
4:46 am
pass toss career record, and the broncos beat the san diego chargers 35 to 21. manning hit wide receiver emanuel sanders for all three scores including a perfectly thrown ball for a second quarter touchdown. pretty, wasn't it? denver's now six and one, and tops in the afc west. >> he's really soaking it up, too. >> i know, enjoying, that enjoying that. we have a quarterback like, that downing, that hey. still ahead, facebook goes zero goes retro for its new app. >> take a look at what's coming up tonight on cbs-3.

it is 4:53, how are the roads looking, vittoria? >> thank you, the roads are looking great, no major problems at all. traveling on the roosevelt boulevard, behind me, we're not seeing that delay that we usually see every morning, still pretty early actually. not even at 5:00 a.m. just yet. usually the rush doesn't roll on in until about 6:15-ish. so taking a look at the boulevard, no major problems in either direction. now if you are traveling in the northeast around rising sun, cottman avenue, you will notice that the inner lanes, if you are commuting, in the

4:55 am
mornings, right? we continue to see few clouds out, there but those will continue to thin, with time, and still courtesy of the very same storm which is still making its slow retreat. things looking better foreplays cents cents like massachusetts which really ended up being the bull's eye with the storm system, dealing with inches of rain, out of this storm, up that way, for us, glancing blow for sure. but the chill starting to settle back in. you always start to see when the blue contours start to roll into our weather map, you know it is starting get chilly. forty-six currently in mount pocono, 56 here at the airport, but that's going to start to change. again, some cooler air working its way in here, so temperatures should start to drop off more readily, 37 in cleveland, pair of three's in al mean, a the core of the chill again starting to head into the northeast, in the wake of this system. but the next three days, despite the chill, are actually going to warm up nicely, because we've got more sunshine. so it is a lot more seasonable in the days ahead, i mean, you have just got great excuse to
