today it is wednesday october 29th good morning, i'm ukee washington. aim erika von tiehl. here are stories we are following today. this morning nasa is trying to figure out why this unmanned rocket exploded seconds after taking off, causing 200 million-dollar in damage. football coaches from central bucks west tell their side of the story after hazing scandal abruptly ends their season and leaves them suspended, indefinitely. it has been two years today since hurricane sandy slammed the region, we will take a look at the rebuilding efforts and some homes that are still abandoned, this morning. hard to believe, two years. >> wow, wow. we will check on that. >> we will check our forecast with katie over in the weather

center. >> good morning. we have enjoyed yesterday. >> now the snow knows best, going downhill, right. but we have relatively decent weather to go with this drop on the thermometer. but you will want to start layering up more here with the days coming up but overall, it is not a terrible forecast despite the fact that we have a coal front crossing through here today. now with that said the weekend, that is where things become a completely different story for us. we are watching potential for coastal storm regardless on have what happens precipitation wise, raw, windy conditions and we could be tracking snow flakes. we will have details on all of this coming up, ukee, back to you. in the news, coaches a the central bucks west high school are speaking out for first time since hazing allegations surfaced around the school's football team. >> jane carabao joins us from doylestown where parents showed up to the school board meet to go support those coaches, good morning, jan.

>> reporter: erika and ukee, good morning. a heated debate, heated discussion during race night's school board meeting here at c.b. west high school. for the first time some of the suspended coaches on the jv and varsity football teams spoke out and so did the parents who support them. also a first was a school district speaking out since the allegations of hazing first broke late last week. school board members detailed for the public the findings of the school's internal investigation. they say most serious of the hazing including a game called slap it, lick it and grab it during which rook writes made to slap another player, lick a player's fares and grab a player's private parts while fully clothed. this alleged hazing happened during a post scrimmage picnic organized by parents in the summer. last night the head coach, spoke out for the first time and defended himself and his coaches saying this was a one time incident that they did not learn about until october 15th. he went on to say that the hazing happened in the locker room after most coaches left,

construction blocking the right-hand lane. they may be moving that ever so slowly and out of the way, very shortly. it is blocking the the right-hand lane. do watch out for that traveling in that section of the delaware county. moving to the tacony palmyra bridge, bridge is up so 73 is closed. you will need to wait on that for a bit. we will keep you updated when bridge does get put back down but as of right now speed sensors every where else are indicating good news. fifty's on the schuylkill, 55 on 476, 55 traveling on i-95. lots of green on the pennsylvania turnpike traveling 422, 202, so on and so forth. on the roosevelt boulevard southbound on fifth street we are dealing with the construction zone there so be mindful for some lane blockages in that area however, traveling in new jersey we are great. forty-two, 55, 295 all in the clear and green and in delays for mass transit. ukee. we have lift off to bring it on its third mission to the

iss. >> main engine at 108 per percent. >> boy, a full scale investigation is underway this morning after an unman rocket there loaded with supplies for the international space station, explodes as you saw just seconds after take off. >> nasa contracted rocket launch last night from the flight facility in eastern fat it is. nasa officials are investigating but you right now experts don't know exactly what went wrong. >> there is always a chance that a connection can fail or a fuel line could fail, what we do from this is we learn what happened, we can diagnosis this problem, figure out what the problem was and fix the problem. >> a group of students there ocean city high school who had a science experiment on board that rocket saw it crash from near the launch pad. one of those students cristina redmond tweeted out that was most tragic and scary thing i

have ever witnessed, everyone from oc is okay and we are praying for everybody else involved. nasa says no one was hurt in that explosion and more supplies are on the way. less than two hours ago russia launched its own unmanned supply ship bound for iss. ship blasted off without incident at 3:09 eastern standard time. spacecraft is carrying 3 tons of supplies, for the space station's crew. it is expected to link up with the orbiting lab just after 9:00 this morning. well, happening today wilmington is spanning its smoking ban. mayor dennis williams will sign an executive order banning lighting up in all city parks, playground, public plaza and transit areas. similar ban failed to pass city council earlier this month. wilmington's existing smoking ban covers city government offices, classrooms, libraries and museums. another possible sighting of suspect trooper killer eric

frein, this time in monroe county, pennsylvania. pennsylvania state police focused their efforts on a area near route 390 in barrett township where a resident claimed to have seen frein yesterday afternoon. >> i seen him pop up and down. basically thought that was suspicious frein is accused of opening fire outside blooming grove state police barracks on september 12th killing trooper brian dickson and seriously wounding trooper alex douglass. he has been on the run for more than 45 days. today, president obama will meet with volunteer health workers who have been or soon will be traveling to west africa. meanwhile dallas nurse amber vinsonnies back home in texas this morning. she was released from emery university hospital yesterday, after doctors have confirmed that the virus has left her bloodstream.

well, after months of unrest in ferguson, missouri the cities chief of police is expected to step down. >> chief thomas jackson became face of the department after a white officer darren wilson shot and killed unarmed black teenager michael brown. a grand jury is deciding whether officer wilson will face charges. jackson, meanwhile, could step down as early a as next week. justice department is investigating the ferguson police department. a small community in hawaii may be forced to evacuate as a slow moving lava a flow makes its way towards the town of bahoa. >> experts say the lava is burning 3,000 degrees and,

destroyed everything in its path including one shack. fifty other structures including some homes are at risk this morning. officials, closed two major road near the area as lava flow makes its way towards the ocean. some new jersey residents are still cleaning up after devastation left behind when super storm sandy roared a shore two years ago today. "eyewitness news" in tuckerton, ocean county here, some homes there are still in the process of rebuilding. others though just remained abandoned. a new monmouth university poll found that one in five sandy survivors report process has taken a toll on their mental health. we're looking at 65 degrees. a nice warm start to the day. >> definitely a mild start but you will not see too much movement. we will drop three or 4 degrees at most here and then we will climb another four. so we're staying very, very much level and balanced here with the temperatures all day to day but that is all

courtesy of a cold front crossing through, a very, weak cold front when it comes to precipitation. i think you can getaway without an umbrella if you are not craze bye carting one with you today. let's show you storm can 31st and foremost and yes, we have activity here across central pennsylvania. that is the beginnings of that cold front starting to head our way but it looks like it is moving slowly enough that we don't end up dealing with any wet weather until at least midday. here through western most suburbs, probably late afternoon towards evening, across the rest of the board here. so yeah, it is just depending where you are what you will find but for the the most part our region is going to end up seeing a late day shower roll on through and then we are done with this frontal boundary but it will leave its mark behind. slow nose dive coming up here. yesterday we will hit mid 70's, today we hit mid 60 ease and that is because, of course, we are seeing transition taking place with the cold front crossing through. we will not have enough time to heat up easily in the 70's

and we probably don't come close to it in spots. by tomorrow we are back in the 50's but sun will return, friday, halloween have of course, lots of festivities and we will keep it dry for the whole thing but just think about maybe having a sweat shirt ready for costumes to put underneath the as you head out for trick or treat. today it is looking okay overall other than that late day shower, we will see some sunshine, 66 for the high. we will drop down to 46 as skies clear out quickly. temperatures drop off just as quickly. over course of the next few days quiet. weekend is a big difference for our forecast, not only temperatures take a solid hit but wind starts to crank. raw, windy, chilly, regardless of what goes on with the storm that we are tracking to bring in those conditions, but right now is there a bit of the question mark in terms of the final track of the storm as there always tend to be when dealing with systems like this. at minimum we are calling for a couple rain showers, there could be steady rain, and in addition to this because temperatures are taking such a
