. >> today is monday, november 10th, good morning, i'm ukee washington. >> i'm erika von tiehl. stories we're following today, fire breaks out in a philadelphia neighborhood overnight. sending one person to the hospital. we have the latest on the victims' condition and a look at the damage in a live report. a carstarphan evens out of control and launches into a home. finds out how it happened. why police say everyone involved is very luck. >> i and gas prices dropping again. how low they are now, what experts are crediting for the drain clause cents. >> the temperatures will be dropping later this week. let's finds out what's happening right now. >> good news before the bad news. >> isn't it nice when we start off with good news? yes, early on in the week, looking at some very pleasant

conditions. my advice is enjoy it while you can. because once these temperatures drop, they may not pull out for awhile. >> here we go. >> if at all. >> it is that time. >> yes, this will definitely and shock to our sister late another week. for now we do have very pleasant weather to report, both today and tomorrow, slightly above average conditions, expected both today and tomorrow. and some sunshine to go along with it, the problem is, this is not going to last forever eventually the temperature do take a plunge, we'll talk about just how cold it will get coming up. ukee, back to you. >> now new this morning, firefighters rescue woman from her burning home in germantown overnight. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now on mobile three at the scene with more on how she is doing, jan, good morning. >> reporter: erika, ukee, good morning. you're right, one woman had to be taken to the hospital this morning, however, she was taken in stable condition, she will be okay, but she had to be rescued from the second floor of her home behind me here on belfield avenue in germantown, if you

can take a look at the video, get better look at the scene this morning. this fire started around 1:00 in the 6400 block of belfield avenue in germantown, we're told, 06 year old woman had to be rescued from second floor rear bedroom, taken to einstein hospital in stable condition, again, being treated for smoke inhalation, and will be okay. there were no other injuries reported. >> it took crews about 30 minute to put out this fire, they've since cleared the scene, if you come back to us live, you can see it is pretty dark and quiet out here this morning, but there are some restoration crews still on scene trying to make sure everyone is okay. everyone he will back this their home this morning, just the one woman, 06 year old woman taken to the hospital in stable condition for smoke inhalation. the cause of the fire remains in investigation. reporting live in germantown, jan carabeo, "eyewitness news". >> jan, thank you. kate had i mentioned couple of nice days before the temperature really takes the tumble. so, hey, if you are waking up right now, enjoy it, right? >> exactly, and good morning, everybody, we start things off

with quick check on "skycam 3", we start there in atlantic city where we have quiet weather to start things move atlantic city and basically everywhere else. it doesn't necessarily stay this way with time. eventually going to be seeing much colder air set until. for now, clear skies, very, very light wind, not as cold as recent mornings have been. but, it is still chilly enough to warrant a jacket for sure. we take you out to storm scan3, where we start, generally just have clear sky basically from philadelphia, immediate vicinity, all point southeast. with the wind, allowing the temperatures to drop incredibly easily and efficiently. northwest, very thin vale of clouds. won't see any place where it particularly is warmer than others, just because of cloud cover. but rather, with high pressure in place, everybody gets in on that quiet start and that means temperatures can drop pretty easily, but 37 degrees in mount pocono, with the clouds, not too bad. worm any will be little colder than that if you had a nice clear sky. thirty-eight is the current

temperature at the airport, actually in at very chilly 33 right now, in atlantic city. let's take you through the region as a whole here, it should say monday at the top of the graphic. no harm, no foul. mostly sunny skies for you at philadelphia, at the shore, in the poconos, and expecting the temperatures to be ever so slightly above average. at least for philly and the shore it means low 60s, jess, good morning. >> good morning, i thought i was dream whg i saw tuesday already. nothing like monday mornings. good morning, little after 4:30, we go outside, check out 95 at girard, you can see everything relatively early. so far everything moving great, southbound lanes toward center city moving great. not even any carson t i just spoke too soon there. goes one. over on the vine st. expressway everything moving great here this actually just approaching 95, so headed eastbound you can see everything moving along great, there as well f we check out the rest of the majors everything still good. everything on 422 headed eastbound oaks into 202, 14 minutes on the schuylkill expressway eastbound blue

route into the vine st. expressway. burlington bristol bridge closed for construction until 5:00 a.m. your alternate to get around there just take the talcony palmyra. everything out in jersey still moving great. forty-two northbound, 55 northbound, everything moving shootly on 295 headed northbound. now, mass trans sit a great alternate. septa, new jersey transit and dart all reported with no delays. currently no delays at the airport. ukee, back over to you. >> thank if you, jess, jury deliberations are expected to begin today in the trial of former philadelphia police officer richard decoatsworth. he is charged with assaulting his girlfriends following an explosive argument in may of 2013. de coat worth testified he accidentally hit hits girlfriends in the mouth while trying to knock away a brick she was holding. he contends he never meant to hurt her. >> still a lot of questions after a homicide in the hunting park section of philadelphia. a woman was shot to death on the 1600 block of rowan street late saturday night. police say they don't have much to go on, but do believe the victim was about 30 years

old. so far no details on the shooter or motive. anyone with information is asked to call the police. >> a car goes a bore, crashes into a house, happened in hokessing delaware. >> police investigate fog see if speed led to the accident. officials say the driver hit park pick-up truck launching into the air, crashing through the second floor bedroom. it happened yesterday evening, in the 1600 block of old wilmington road. the home was occupied at the time of the crash. >> shock. i mean, this is not something you see every day. but we at first thought perhaps the tree had fallen. >> no one in the home was injured. crews had to cut a larger hole in the side of the house to remove the car. the driver we're told in stable condition. >> another bad crash there is one mt. laurel, new jersey, police tell "eyewitness news", one person was thrown from the car then pinned underneath it. rescuers worked quickly to free the victim from the wreck. no word on that person's condition this morning. and, the kindness of

strangers leads to donations foray buys dollars and tortured little boy. organizers collected donations for six year old ryan mcmillan. they filled this flatbed truck full of clothing and toys and also posted $2,000 in cash. chester county prosecutors say ryan and his three year other brother scotty were the victims. beating and torture. scotty died a few days ago. >> i have two grandchildren around ryan and scotty's age, and a step grandson. so it hit home with the babies being that young, and the outcome, just tragic. >> ryan we're told will get those toys for christmas, he's now staying with an aunt. >> with the eagles set to take on the carolina panthers tonight at financial field, septa providing additional subway service broad street line sports express trains will run every ten minute. service begins at 6:45, making all express stops from fernrock through the at&t station. the market frankford line also

happening today, new york city's biggest new subway hub opening in lower manhattan, called the fulton center, it serves as vital link between the world trade center and the rest of the city. the $1.4 billion hub will accommodate up to 300,000 daily riders. it also includes nearly 66,000 square feet of retail and office space. it opens up to riders in less than a half hour. president obama is on the first leg after post mid-term tour of asia this morning. the president spent his day in

the 40's. let's start with the good news, guys, let's get you out there. storm scan3, quiet, sunshine, first couple of days of the work week looking pretty darn phenominal for mid-december standards, aren't bad. clear sky generally sort of across the board here. and we're going to expect that to stay in place all day today, and heading into tomorrow. now, a nice wide zoom. yep, snow, and it is falling pretty well here with colder air starting to drop in, minnesota, dakota region, not specking any snow here. actually not expecting much in the way of precipitation at all, but we will eventually see some very cold air from that location, make its way in. soap, enjoy the warmth while you have got t early on this week, still talking low and mid 60s, tomorrow probably the mildest day, but then that next cold front is starting to drop in slowly but surely, and it is losing some of its moisture by the time it hit our area, but we are going to see the breeze kicking in. and then the temperatures just start plunging, and so by

thursday, not out of the four's, let's take you through today. mostly sunny, high of 61, nice, enjoy. tonight we drop down to 45, still chilly granted but not as cold as recent nights have been, so it looks good for the eagles, that said, meanwhile mid six 60s tomorrow being expect that sunshine for veterans day parades it, looks phenominal, then come wednesday the breeze starting to kick in as i mention, look what it does to the temperatures here, thursday, friday, saturday and sunday, we don't break out of the 40's. ukee, back to you. >> and as you showed us on the seven day, eagles do take on the carolina panthers in prime time, all eyes on lincoln financial field. eagles quarterback mark sanchez makes first regular season start since 2012. on defense it will be the birds first game without demeco ryans. eagles defensive leader tore his achilles. emanuel off owe, rookie marcus smith, will try to fill the void. >> now, it is our job to go in there, replace him, make sure the defense doesn't skip a beat. that's the biggest thing, you

little more than that. pennsylvania's average 3.05. delaware, 2.82. analysts say the production increases in the u.s. have led to drops in prices. and i can't say enough. i love it. >> oh, it sounds so good. time is 4:49. >> jill wagner joins us from the new york stock exchange, again, stocks open at fresh high. what are investors watching today? >> yes, well, take it, right? good morning, ukee, erika. dow and s&p both close new highs friday. came after the labor department said the economy added 214,000 jobs in october, and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.8%, which is the lowest level since 2008. there is one issue, though, wages aren't really going up. so people aren't making that much more money. this week, investors are watching any developments in china president obama there, he arrived this morning, for the asia pacific economic cooperation summit. trade and cyber security could be hot topics. we'll see if anything develops

got outdoor plans, toward the end of the week, keeping some generally quiet weather, overhead, the temperatures are taking some very, very significant nose dives here, comes from pole and front rolling on through, let's take a look, start things offer by getting you outside to the roof cam. "skycam 3", all calm, all quiet, high pressure to thank for it, and it is a chilly start to the morning, for sure, but we have a clear sky in most spots, than what we had yesterday this same time. so the temperatures haven't had a chance to, you know, stay milder through the overnight. going to storm scan, where you are not looking at any storms at the moment. do have at least few clouds here through some of the northwest serbs, huge zoom on the storm scan3 would take you out to places like the dakotas, into minute society, a wisconsin, we continue to see some snow falling, and just really sign every things to come. now not necessarily in terms of the snow, but really going to be about the cold. look at the cold air that is pent up here across the canadian prairies. you have current temperatures,

current temperatures, not windchills, the actual value on the thermometer is single digit territory, and winnipeg, talking only teens right now, well below freezing from the twin cities, to salt saint you marie, start to see polar air singing in the region at the days ahead. still pretty chilly, still need your winter coat ready walking out the door when talking 20's in lehighton, 30's out toward delran, camden, even in dover, still just few degrees shy of the freezing mark this morning. and with clear sky, those temperatures will drop even more efficiently before the sun comes up. talking of course about the eagles game. i have to say for mid november standards, pretty phenominal forecast down at the linc tonight. 52 degrees, quiet, light wind, under clear sky, doesn't get better than, that although you still want your heavier midnight green sweatshirt handy when walking out the door to go tallaged. low mid 60s expected for today, tomorrow, two nicest days, and mildest of the
