place under the tac-pal bridge, in front every witnesses, place say 50 year old man drove toward the water. >> then got out of the car, let the car drive, with no one in it. into the river. still to be sure, police marine unit and first responders were called in monday afternoon, and after about 30 minutes, divers found the car, which is registered to the woman, submerged in about 30 feet of frigid water. >> no visibility what so far. divers just had to go by feel. they found the vehicle, it is dangerous because you could get trapped from the debris, able to feel there was no one inside of the vehicle. >> police say the man's wife has a restraining, and she said he threat toned dumb the the car into the river. apparently she was up -- he was upset she wouldn't let him drive the van the two owned. police say this spat put people in danger. >> some of the charges he's face something wreckless

endangerment for putting the police officers and divers in harm way. >> again no injuries. meantime police still looking for this man, want has been issued for his arrest, and he has been ordered to turn himself in. reporting live outside of northeast detective, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". all right, january, thank you. and also want to update breaking news we've been telling but this morning, fire at the abington ymca. this is some new video, this is just in, from the scene at york and susquehanna roads, where firefighters do have that situation under control. sprinklers contained the fire to the front of the building in the childcare area. smoke and water damage, so part of the building will be closed today. we are told, though, that the fitness center will be open. so call ahead if you plan on using the abington y today. well, happening today, germantown kidnapping suspect delvin barnes coming back to philadelphia. the fbi is bringing barnes here, from a virginia jail, to

face charges that he abducted carlesha freeland-gaither off a philadelphia street. barnes will make his first appearance in federal court tomorrow. prosecutors decided to try barnes here, before he faces similar charges in virginia. a scuffle in the philadelphia industrial correctional center has injured four inmates. it happened around 10:30 last night, but it is unclear what sparked it. a spokesperson says if involved homemade weapons. we're told none of the injuries, though, are serious. chopper three was over the scene, at six flags great adventure in jackson township, new jersey. that's where a fire broke out around 10:30 last night inside after barn at the park safari. luckily, no humans or animals were injured. investigators are now looking into what may have sparked those flames. 603 head out to the skydeck, katie there is maybe is our last warm nice day? >> at least for the next seven days, we guarantee it, erika, but i have a sneaky suspicion that this may be the last

"eyewitness news" goes one-on-one with the philadelphia police officer rescued from this burning squad car by two good samaritans. yesterday officer mackenzie returned to the 17th district in south philadelphia. he was heading to a call saturday, when he collided with a pick up at 27th and tasker cruiser burst into flames, with officer trapped inside. seventeen year old joe chambers and dante johnson saw it all happen, and they rushed to help >> tried to get out, but my legs weren't doing anything. i'll take them out when i get better, will take them out. >> perfect, officer suffered leg injury and concussion, but he is expected to make a full recovery. >> well, eagles fans are pretty happen which the debut of mark sanchez, as the team's starting quarterback, the birds crush the carolina

started though. no injuries. the childcare and pool are closed today. >> also the corvette pulled from the delaware river, in philadelphia, last night, we've learned it belonged to woman involved in a messy divorce. that woman's estranged husband drove the car to the edge of the river then let it roll right in. >> delvin barnes coming back to philadelphia today. he'll nab courtroom tomorrow to face charges in the abduction after philadelphia woman. barnes also faces charges in the state off virginia. we'll take a short breakment be right back.

around the area and the scene, but see everybody squeezing by to the right hand side. over in delaware, accident on i95, southbound, at route 141, use some caution, traveling on through there, caution as well on the pa turnpike as well at ft. washington due to debris in the road. erika, back to you. >> thanks, this home in had a retake a direct hit from molten lava for months now. that home was the first to be destroyed by the lava flow, which has been unstoppable, and it is -- since june. the people who live there, evacuated long ago, with their belongings, and the next closest home is about a half mile away. has been an active volcano since 1983. >> now, some newly-released video gives a new look at one of the deadliest wild fires in us history. nineteen firefighters were killed trying to battle the fire back in june of 2013. winds shifted surrounding the granite mountain hot shots with flames more than 100 feet

high. communication problems made it difficult for the hot shows to escape the fast moving flames. >> videos that came out show very chaotic situation, the difficulties of communication, the fact that nobody really new where granite mountain was. you see people on the gown, asking for sell phone numbers, because they can't communicate. >> now, this is new video, came to us, came to a surprise, to the victims' families. twelve of them are suing the arizona department of forestry, planning overall mismanagement, led to their deaths. and the state of florida, sinkhole opens upright in front after home. displacing several families, as you can see there, the crater swallowed car sitting in the driveway. it started about 4 feet deep, but quickly grew to 10 feet. six families forced from their homes while engineers look at the sinkhole, thankfully no injuries to report. well, expensive time of year with the holidays approaching, so we want to put a little extra monday any your pocket. >> how about free hundred dollar gift card sounds?

we continue to follow breaking news, "eyewitness news" on the scene at the ymca olds york road abington, where fire broke out around 4:00 a.m. in heating and cooling unit in the childcare center. fire was contained to one room, but there is smoke and water damage there. so the y's childcare programs are canceled today. while the abington ymca is not fully functional, the hatboro area ymca is only 4 miles away. so any y member who still want access to a facility, more than welcome to visit the hatboro area y. >> the abington pool closed now but hope to have that back open by the ends of the day. erika? >> right now just bizarre fishing expedition on the delaware riverment look what they pull up. divers found red corvette, become part of bitter divorce. jan carabeo joins us now at northeast detective, with the details on this. jan, good morning. erika, good morning. police say this was a costly stunt by a husband, trying to get back at his estranged

wife. now, an arrest warrant has been issued for him, and while no one was injured, police say there is did put their investigators lives in danger. if you take a look at the video, you can see where this all unfolded yesterday afternoon. it happened just below the talcony palmyra bridge, on the pennsylvania side of the delaware river. police say a 50 year old man drove his wife's 1990 red corvette into the river there, as it turns out, investigators say, he got out of the car, and let it roll into the water without anyone inside, but police had to make sure no one was trapped. so, the police marine unit and first responders were called in, and after about 30 minutes, divers found that car submerged in about 30 feet of frigid water. police say the man's wife has a restraining order against him. and the wife tells "eyewitness news", that he had threat toned dump her car into the river if she didn't meet his demands. apparently, he was upset, she won't let her drive the van, that the two owns. it was a stunt that turned into a difficult search and police say it put their people in danger.

candle glow, just the effect that the clouds had on the city skyline. >> you can tell there is some fog by looking at the visibility layering on storm scan3, which essentially shows you where you may have the hardest time seeing your hands in front of your face, that goes to portions of the i95 corridor, new castle county, across the northern delmarva essentially here, we take you out to central new jersey, a spot, too. header a lot of rots actually that route 73 in particular has some poor visibility this morning sun is up, brightening things up. forty's, up 30th's, depending but smidge milder than was this same time yesterday. because of the milder start and the sun that we're specking we expect a very mild afternoon. 67 degrees in philly with more sunshine, but few more clouds than what we saw yesterday. still nice day, though. jess? >> would go outside, disable vehicle, is taking over 95, which is southbound, pushed over into the right hand shoulder, thankfully, few

minutes ago, actually over into the left-hand lane, but now headed southbound approaching the commodore barry bridge, fortunately, not too much in the way of volume, headed in this southbound direction, so it is not sitting back too much. see little brake lights as they approach the scene, and continue to pason by. now, over in new jersey, a foggy shot right here, 42 at creek road, so you can see all headlights are on headed northbound, sun starting to come up just a little bit brighter than the last time we used this shot, about 20 minutes ago or so. so headed northbound into the 295 interchange, and possibly the surrounding area bridges, you can see, some slow going and possible brake lights right over there. >> back over to you. >> jess, thank you. >> november is long-term kara wear necessary month. and the numbers un score just how important this topic really has become. >> the department of health and human services estimate that those age six a and older have a 70% chance of needing long-term care services at some point, but not everyone needs insurance coverage. for more, we're joined by cbs news business analyst jill schlessinger.

morning. >> good morning, do you like how i use these months and weeks to actually sneak in really important top sticks. >> how about it? how about it? >> you're sneaky, jill, sneak. >> i the cost involved can be staggering, though, right? >> oh, my god. it is amazing, if you need nursing home care, median annual cost for semi private room over $77,000, private room is over 87,000. prices do vary a cents could the country. in the philadelphia region, closer to new york, you will probably pay closer to $100,000. adding to the problem, cost of facility base providers costs are increasing twice the rate of inflation. now, here is the good news, 06% of people who need care are going to probably use a licensed home health air. nod going to end up in a facilities, that's much more affordable, about 20 bucks an hour. prices for that care, rising at much slower pace, 1.3% annually. >> is there anyone out there who should not worry about long-term care coverage? >> there are a lot of people

who don't have to worry. let's think of it in three different categories. one, there are people who have limited resources, and they can qualify for medicaid. the second category, those who have got large nest eggs, and they can pay for services as they they a rise, they don't necessarily need to purchase insurance. but, it is the people in the middle, total net worth, including your house of say 300,000 to a million and a half bucks, maybe 2 million, you may want to consider some long-term care coverage couple specially vulnerable, think about it, can eat into the as that's would dramatically change the healthy spouse's life in the future. so, again, that middle category, some baseline coverage, may be appropriate. >> jill, a loft folks complain that the could the of coverage is steep. why is it so expensive? >> according to the american association for long-term care insurance, typical policy for 55 year old couple is pretty expensive. $4,000. and by the way, about 15% of

i was going to say i think we're getting more than our fair share. here in minute society, a loverly minneapolis, where i am standing right now, used to getting snow. but not this early in november. we are used to getting 10 inches throughout the whole entire month. another thing we're dealing with, this ice. i want you to take a look down with me right now, one of our side street here, as we are overlooking the highway. and you can see thick day of ice, snowfall, depending where you are, though, across the state of minnesota, you might have lucked out. >> area north us, northeast, seeing close to 16-inch of snow already for the year. like i said, used to getting snow. but this really caught a loft us off guard. because it is just so early in the season, and another reason that an early season snow is difficult is because it tends
