in philadelphia this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> developing now at 11:00, the plot thickens. a husband on the run from police after singing his wife's corvette in the delaware. now he tells "eyewitness news" why he did it. >> i wanted to get rid of the dammed thing. >> also developing tonight, brand new information in a violent schoolbus crash prompting tense moments and dramatic rescues. >> the bus looked terrible. >> she was lucky. >> you see the wreckage police say they're amazed the crash victims injuries weren't more severe. good evening, i'm chris may. >> i'm jessica dean much this crash happened on route 206 which is lawrence road in princeton. tonight diana rocco caught up with the mother of the schoolbus driver as her daughter was being treated at the hospital. >> reporter: after seeing these pictures, this mother says she's grateful her daughter or another person wasn't killed. sandra, bus aid was on her route

fuse when she got the call her daughter a driver at this same bus company was in a serious accident in princeton on route 20 sick. >> when i first talked to her she was crying a little bit the bus looked terrible. yeah. yeah. she was lucky. she was lucky. >> reporter: the bus was bringing students home from rock brook school in skill man, new jersey. chopper three shows all three people on board including the driver, 44 year old veronica mckinney a 71 year old bus aid and a 16 year old student being carried out on stretchers. and brought to the university medical center at plainsboro. police say the bus collided with this white bmw just before 3:00 turning it on its side. >> bmw's front end struck the left front bumper of the bus. the left -- the bus flipped over to its right side. one of the vehicles crossed over the center line to create the impact but that's still under investigation. >> reporter: bmw driver 2684 old justin thomas of morris

because of a divorce dispute. and tonight, we're hearing from both sides. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is life at northeast detectives with new details. todd? >> reporter: jessica, tonight when we talk to john kramer over the phone, he said, he was some four states away and that he's shocked police are looking to arrest him. a little red corvette is the centerpiece of a very big marital fight. we spoke to the man at the center of it all, john kramer. and asked why he rolled his estranged wife's car into the delaware. >> i didn't know i was doing anything wrong. i thought it was my car. i wanted to get rid of the dammed thing. i couldn't take this arguing over the thing when i was just trying to get my mini van. >> reporter: that mini van is in his wife's possession. she claims she was trying to work out a way to get kramer the mini van but he was difficult. she has a protect of abuse order against him. she claims he smash out her car windows. >> how do you even answer to that? you know.

yes, i'm very frightened. for my two daughters as well. report roar police want to arrest the 50 year old on charges of violating the protection from abuse order and harassment as well as reckless endangerment because police dives had to endanger their own lives by searching the corvette for people while it was in the river. >> he did threaten to put the car into the delaware river and teched her afterwards telling her that's where it was. >> reporter: after he roll the corvette into the delaware monday, just north of the tacony-palmyra bridge, investigators say kramer told an eyewitness not to call police because it was a family matter. >> let me use the mini van because i can't drive the corvette all the time. >> reporter: fortunately no one was inside that corvette and no one was injured. in the meantime police here just want kramer to turn himself in. but he tells us he's not willing to do that unless police agree to release him within eight hours wearing an ankle bracelet. reporting live tonight from northeast detectives, todd equip

phones cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> all right, this bears some watching. todd, thank you very much. we'll cup with that story g2 developing weather stories to keep an eye on tonight. a fog advisory that's in effect for some parts of the area. and then this. the first big winter blast burying the upper midwest under snow. we won't see the snow, of course, but we will feel the cold from this early system. meteorologist kathy orr is here with the latest. kathy? >> let's start with the cold. it's mild for now, but the cold is come here's our arctic front marching through cleveland and the midwest. behind it we're talking about the coldest air of the season and temperatures plunging. the immediate future holds fog and some problems tonight. a dense fog advisory in effect from toms river and ocean county southward through cape may. central and southern delaware until 10:00 o'clock tomorrow morning. we're talking about reduced visibility less than a quarter of a mile at times. in atlantic city and many of our shore points you can see up even toward long island down to about a third of a mile and this is expected to spread inland to

interior south jersey as well. visibility will be reduced overnight slow down use those headlights and this will be an issue tomorrow morning right through the morning commute. will the be dissipat dissipatinr about 10:00 o'clock. of course, we have to talk more about the cold. the core of that arctic air will be spilling southward and we are going to be seeing it heading on eastward as well. into the philadelphia area and the northeast as early as late tomorrow and into the evening we'll talk about how long this cold lasts coming up with that seven day forecast. jess. >> kathy, thanks. right now the suspect in the abduction of carlesha gaither is sitting in a federal detention center waiting to go before a judge. "eyewitness news" investigative reporter walt hunter broke the story of game they are being found a life and tonight he shows us what awaits barnes tomorrow. >> reporter: this two vehicle fbi caravan arrived at noontime bringing accused kill kidnapper delvin barnes from a virginia prison cell back to the us courthouse in philadelphia to face federal charges in the

alleged abduction of 22 year old car lee is it a gaither seen here on video being dragged off a germantown street and thrown into a car. her nearly three-day ordeal ended last wednesday when federal agents swarmed the vehicle in jessup, maryland, rescuing carlesha and arresting barnes for the kidnapping and the attempted rape of a virginia teenager who was set a fire during that attack. barnes is now being held at the federal detention center as federal prosecutors build they are case preparing to present evidence to grand jury. in the weeks since carlesha's family and investigators celebrated the first word of her safe return, those same investigatorinvestigatorsinvesid to determine if barnes might be linked to other attacks or disappearances here. spicily sources now say the suspect's dna sample has been entered by philadelphia police into a national database and no

a couple hundred feet away, an employee leaving amelia's grocery outlet was tacked and pepper sprayed in the face. police are now trying to figure out if one suspect is responsible for both incidents. >> well shocking news on veterans day. a man is in jail tonight accused of of desecrating the graves of veterans at two cemeteries in buck county. the families say they're happy there's been arrest but what they can't understand is why. natasha brown has this story knew tonight. >> why? >> that's the question. why would somebody do that to any cemetery? >> reporter: that is the question that still haunts tom gates three months after discovering that flags that been burned and gravesite markers destroyed at two cemeteries in bensalem. >> five different incidents resulting in a lot of damage of flags, american nags that were burned as well as damage to some of the monuments in the sem terry and other grave markers. >> charred remain from the vandalism tour at the heart

strings of patrick jones a vietnam war vet. his parents and several relatives are buried at rosdale memorial cemetery but their graves were left untouched. >> i'm happy to hear hear they got someone. >> 2984 old anthony davis is now behind bars. >> i'm glad this happened on veterans day that we were able to make a closure an individual burning american flags. an individual that was disgracing feet veteran cemeteries. >> flags have been replaced. grave markers restored. patrick says now his loved ones can rest in peace. >> there's people buried there especially the veterans that you know sacrificed a lot over the years probably carried nightmares with them and, you know, to have that happen it's unreal. >> bensalem police were able to link this suspect to the crime through dna evidence. right now, he's facing vandalism, arson and other related offenses. in bensalem, natasha brown cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

>> meanwhile millions of dollars are being spent on the growing demand for veteran burial plots in new jersey. "eyewitness news" in north hanover township, burlington county where governor chris christie paid tribute to veterans at the brigadier general will psalm c doyle veterans memorial sem terry today. the states veteran cemetery is being upgraded thanks to $17.5 million in federal grants. some will go towards preparing space for new burial plots. >> the first commitment of this administration is in assisting and supporting our brave and courageous military members our veterans who have served and their families. >> another part of the upgrade project calls forehead stones to be reset and for new burial facilities that are already under construction. philadelphia and bill cosby helped celebrate the 88th anniversary of the all wars memorial to colored soldiers and sailors this veterans day. this was originally erected in a

>> 10 year old boy is rescued after following into a quarry in new york. the boy way with his mother, father and a sibling in white plains when some rocks gave way. he fell about 25 to 30 feet down the rock face of the quarry. the boy's father an emergency room doctor was tending to his son when rescue crews arrived. that child is now in the hospital being treated for neck and back injuries. >> the search is on for two gunmen who pulled off a jewelry store heist in new york city. police locked down the area after the robbery this afterno afternoon. investigators say one of the well-dressed suspects posed as a deliveryman and was buzzed into the office while the other followed behind. they emptied the safe and took off. the four employees were not injured. >> it is a potentially live saving piece of jewelry some women are turning to for quick help and peace of mind. take look at this much it's called the stiletto it's a charm that can be warn on a bracelet

out when the imposter tried to scam one of his facebook friends by asking him for money. >> it was embarrassing. >> it's called facebook cloning and with just a few clicks of a mouse cyber criminals create a duply indicate you. they have access to your friends and they can do anything prete pretending to be you unless a friend catches on. >> immediately i thought to myself this is not joe. >> it was joe wolf who questioned whether it was really his friend joe who was contac contacting him asking for money. >> that immediately sent out bells. >> owe alerted the real joe who was shock. >> kind of creepy. the not a good feeling when you think you've been had. >> facebook allows to restrict who can and cannot have access to your page. but many people don't choose settings that offer enough protect. >> perhaps a person doesn't realize that they're public sharing a lot of that are information when they mean to be sharing the with friends. >> a philadelphia attorney with extensive experience in cyber law. explain how important settings are in trying to protect yourself from cloning.

>> just like the lock on your door, your privacy settings control what you share with the world. if you're just quickly snapping pictures from your iphone and not paying attention to where they're going in facebook you may make it a little more public than you intended. go through and mack sure your posts are private if you that's what you want or shared with friends. >> that's what joe is doing now. limiting access and he's relieved he did it before it was too late. >> nobody's reputation was ruin. nobody had any money taken from them. so this is an opportunity where now i can start changing my online behavior. >> joe contacted facebook and they deleted that phony profile. do you know how private your own page is right now? facebook does have what they call a privacy check up. all you do is click the log in the upper right happened corner then click on privacy check up. this controls who sees what you post and the pictures that you have online. all you have to do is his his drop down menu and it gives you the option of friends or public as our expert said it's a good idea to check your privacy

settings at least a couple of times a year. >> quiet night across the delaware valley. but our skycam3 in atlantic city is showing areas of fog. visibility reduced in atlantic city in many many of our shore points and that will be a problem overnight and for the morning commute. more on that coming up. let's check with our i weather watchers and see if they're anything at the moment. we'll start off to the north and west of philadelphia around northeast and temperatures are around 57 degrees. tanya says a light wind as well. 55 degrees right now in vincent down and doug is saying no fog just yet. a mild evening for this time of year. and certainly is. but we know that that is not going to continue. right now in the reading area dave is saying it's 58 degrees. relative humidity getting high at 88%. it is 52 degrees right now in perkasie. captain pressler is saying the humidity riding high and the pressure slowly rising.

financial field. the birds defense sacked cam newton so many times they probably cracked his heisman trophy. nip sack, five turnovers for billy davis' bunch. mark sanchez had a career day running chip kell's offense 332 yards and three touchdowns. his first time over 300 without an interception. the defense and the special teams scored touchdowns. one would consider it the best overall team effort of the season. chip kelly does not agree. >> i don't think they are very consistent over all. we could have sustained some drives. we missed a couple key confusion on short yardage situations we didn't convert. you ask the guys on the offensive side of ball they felt like they didn't play well and i believe we didn't really play to our potential on the offensive side of the ball. >> trust me there's plenty of things to clean up. i don't care how many yards i through for there's a couple i can't miss and couple of reads that need to be much better than that. by no means is perfect.
