6:16 am
coming over the next couple have of days. we have a temperature of 33 degrees right now, that is reading out identify in the reading area. along the shore area we have decent conditions as well today. where ever you go you will be in basically fine shape today but this may be the day you want to make your preparations for possibility of some heavy rain. tomorrow, and then some unbelievably cold weather on tuesday. so, 33 degrees in reading at this point with fairly light wind. that is why i'm in the showing you a wind chill graphic because any temperatures that are right about where you see them now are a at most several degrees cooler but it is not a dramatic change. thirty-six philadelphia, 30 trenton. thirty wilmington. 28 degrees in the allentown area. twenty-seven in the poconos. 34 degrees in wildwood at this point. we are watching for our weather to change. right now we have the clouds that are over us, and i think some of this is not hitting the ground but we will be finding this air mass, moisten up as more and more moisture comes into us, we will find
6:17 am
some of that changing. that will be later on tonight, and i'll be detailing that, a little bit more. there is a chances specially up in the poconos where winter weather advisory is in effect that you can be seeing wintry type precipitation. that is the look right now, we have temperatures today that will be in the 40's and then, tomorrow we will be able to get into the 50's, probably, so let's boost this up. i think the warm air being dragged up in advance of the cold front that is coming on tuesday, will be enough to take these temperatures in the 50's and then heavy rain will be coming in tomorrow afternoon and then the brutal cold air comes in on tuesday. these wind will be gusting to 35 miles an hour on tuesday, the air temperature here, probably just 32 degrees. you can imagine what that combination is going to do. new there is a winter weather advisory that runs from 7:00 tonight up in the poconos until about the o'clock tomorrow morning and that is for the the variety of weather that you can probably see up there which would be some
6:18 am
rain, some snow, some freezing rain. they really don't expect any kind of an accumulation up there of any snow but you could be seeing as much as a tenth of an inch of the ice and that would be the bigger problem. so that winter weather advisory for the poconos tonight through early tomorrow morning. let's time this out, computer model by 4:00 o'clock says we're still just dealing with clouds. by midnight we will start to see this rain moving in and some spots is there a wet flake mixed? maybe. up in the poconos where it is likely to be cooler you may be finding the chance of getting that freezing rain as the profiles in the atmosphere start to change a bit. we will move on in time, tomorrow at noon we've got rain every where, by the time we get to 3:00 p.m. we have got rain tomorrow and maybe some heavy rain coming in as we move in the evening, and evening rush hour, before this system leaves, and really cold air starts to rush in here and rushing in here it will. now future rain amount are going to be getting maybe between one to 2 inches through philadelphia.
6:19 am
we definitely have to watch for that. any snow amounts would be off to the north and west and they would be very, very light if you saw anything at all. it is more i think chance in the poconos of the freezing rain but bigger concern overnight. forty-eight, mostly cloudy, still a chill in the air for to us day. tonight we will drop down to 38 degrees and then as we get through the next couple of days we are looking at temperatures, tomorrow, they could be as high as 58 degrees but with that rain you wouldn't even know it, tuesday, 32 degrees, 35 miles an her wind, barely any better on wednesday, we will start a maryland rating trend after that. you know you can check the latest forecast anytime on the new cbs philly weather app. we can get live radar, share your weather photos with us available now in itunes and google play, nicole. >> all right, thanks, carol. is your pet cute enough to be in commercials? maybe. with the little help from an agent that is. cbs's alfonso van marsh is in london with that story.
