is so clear, that you can see everything laid out before you here, the board, the casinos, it is crystal clear, however, you are going to be dealing with a very, very chilly day here. so, got to talk temperatures. that's the big storiment also, storm system smack dab in the center of the forecast that we will be discussing, as well. >> see you in a bit, thank you. in the news, south jersey community comes together to mourn a family tragedy. >> two children dead and their mother and brother fighting for their lives, "eyewitness news" report, jan carabeo joins us at cooper university hospital in camden, with more. jan, good morning. >> erika, ukee, good morning. >> police continue to investigate how this shooting happened, and why. if you take a look at the video, you can see, exclusive "eyewitness news" video taken last night of investigators collecting evidence at the scene, at the home on holly park drive, where this deadly shooting unfolded.

police first called to the home by a family member, around 9:00 a.m. on thursday, inside they found a boy and a girl dead. they also found 44 year old janine lapage shot in the head and a boy seriously injured. police say they were all shot with the same gun, which was found at the scene, and all four victims were found in the same room. again, that mother and her son were taken to cooper, and are now in critical condition. this news shocked this tight-knit community and dozens showed to up a vigil last night. police believe lapage is the mother of the three children shot, investigators have not released their identities. while police are not discuss ago motive for the shooting, they do say they aren't looking for a suspect. >> at this point i can tell you we are far from making a determination if this is a murder suicide, who the suspect; that will be something that we have to wait to see where the evidence takes us. >> second mother, and i'm devastated and shocked. >> and we're going to hear more from this community

pretty nice ride. so far so good. traveling in either direction the schuylkill expressway, no delays at all around the king of prussia area, even if you are making your commute around center city philadelphia, just looks great. it is wide open but as katie had said, it is cold out, there so make sure to heat up your car before you head out. looking at 476, no delays in either direction, doesn't matter if you are traveling around this area at the mid-county toll plaza, or making your way around 956789 both sides of the roadway, at both ends, look great. take a look at the speed censors, high up to the 50's, schuylkill schuylkill, blue route, pa turnpike, all moving extremely well. how much, traveling in chester county would we do have downed pole jeffrey street. try to avoid that area if you k traveling the turnpike beyond norristown, dealing with some construction, so watch out for the guys and gals in the hard hats. taking a look at mass transit, everything running on time for septa, new jersey, dart. no delays at philadelphia international. ukee? >> vittoria, thank you. developing right now new york state officials preparing to ask the white house to declare

a federal disaster. at the lake effect snowstorm continues to bury the buffalo area. this time, laps video gives you idea of the volume of snow that's covers parts of western new york. the death toll has reached ten, and roofs are now starting to buckle. on some roads the snow is so deep that plows are not working properly. >> there are hundreds and hundreds of vehicles stranded all throughout the area. that's going to be a massive problem. >> now, with more than 6 feet of snow falling on buffalo's ralph wilson stadium, the national foot being league has moved sunday's game between the bills and the jets to ford field in detroit, michigan. well, happening today, it is back to work for baggage handlers at philadelphia international airport, local lawmakers and learning err i will escort prime employees returning to their jobs this morning. yesterday workers held one day walk out to push for higher wages, better working

conditions and improved health benefits. >> security guard opens fire on a would-be robber at a rite aid in mt. airy, happened at the stenton avenue store. police say a 33 year old man armed with a knife was shot multiple times as he tried to rob that store. that man is in critical condition at einstein. authorities say they recovered a knife at the scene. two bucks county brothers are charged in a purse snatching spree. bensalem township police say robert and connor really snatched three purses last weekend. now, we have some video of one of the purse snatching at the bensalem giant. police found the purse missing, though, was that woman's debit card and $125 in cash. the victim spoke with "eyewitness news", but did not want her face on camera. >> and then the next thing i knew is i didn't feel my strap, and i see the gentleman going acro the parking lot, booking it, like running real fast, like i couldn't have attempted to catch him or anything. >> police say the best way to

>> new this morning that reports that ferguson police officer darren wilson who shot and killed michael brown is in negotiations to resign. cnn is reporting the resignation talks hinge on whether or not a grand jury returns an indictment against wilson. it is possible wilson's resignation could commas soon as today. the fbi comes as this news comes, rather, as the fbi warns local agencies about the potential for violent fall-out from the grand jury's decision. philadelphia police say they are ready to handle any protests here in the city. >> president obama heads to las vegas high school to offer more details of his immigration plan. in a prime time address, he unveiled his executive action, which affect an estimated 5 million people. the president says, immigrant, who have lived illegally in the u.s., for more than five years, is can avoid being deported if their children are citizens or lawful permanent residents, and they pass backgrounds checks and pay fees. they also can get work permit. >> well, it is finally here.

well below average as you might imagine, but man is there a trade off coming our way, so stick with me through the colds weather news, coming up on real mild air here down the road. at the moment, we continue to even still see some very, very modest lake enhanced snow falling here, in some of the typical belt areas, south of buffalo, north of syracuse, none of which is surviving as it migrates our way, we stay clear, completely sunny today. the problem is, it is still really cold. the highs at best into the mid 30's once again, and it probably feels no better than the 20's, that's at best. i would say the better part of the day probably feeling like the teens for most of you, high pressure regains control. but as it does so, winds calms down, later tonight probably end up with frost out there into the morning, 07 looks beautiful. little milder, still well below average into the 40's, come sunday, okay, we will take it, more clouds, but back to the 50's where we should be, and then, my friends, well, okay, so comes with trade off from the storm system, but actually all the way into the upper 60s, as we

like the earlier days of this week, where, we drop into very, very colder it torrey on the thermometer, and we do that yet again today. we had cold front yesterday, brought if few more clouds, than what we saw in recent days, now that those have cleared out, you have actually still at this hour got a little bit of lake enhanced snow falling here down one of the great lakes. but we are going to keep things dry. now, perhaps this weekend you're getting nice early jump start on your holiday travel, staying with your family for the whole week coming up, lucky you, it does look as though the pattern stays very quiet, perhaps we ends up with a few additional rounds of rain, lake effect snow here, head in the through the rest of this morning, but then really no earlier than tomorrow afternoon, do we start to see any signs of life on the radar, and would you have to go very far west to see. that will so today, tomorrow, most of sunday for that matter, if you are keeping it close to home here within the general, say, 200-mile radius, looking good for travel here, the weather isn't a factor. it feels awfully colds outside right now, guys, no better than the teens, we only hit 36 at best today. ukee, back to you.
