that house and the causes now under investigation. residents are still waiting to go home have after a sink hole opened up in bethlehem township and swallowed a truck working to repair a water main. look at the damage from chopper three. everyone was within 300 feet of had sink hole at norfolk road what's vac waited a mid fears that the truck hit a gas main. hours later the weight of another truck appears to have cause that had sink hole to expand. it is unclear when residents might aloud to return. a manhunt is underway tonight for a man who stabbed a woman to death in delaware county. the the violence happened in the 700 block of eagle street in chester. people to come forward. >> i can't understand why someone would do that to her. i just don't get it. >> reporter: chester resident nate smith says news of the friend's murder hit him hard. gwenn williams died after someone stabbed her, outside of this home, on engel street just after midnight. >> i was upstairs and when i came down, they told me that she had gotten stand. >> reporter: jackie logan says she's gwennlynn williams best friend. logan lives at this house, because williams pounded on this back door, begging for help, just after midnight. logan says once williams got inside, she collapsed. >> when the police came, i tried to go back and they told me to step back. >> reporter: behind the house a park, an area police are including in their investigation. williams lived just a few blocks away, but police believe that she was outside, someone stabbed her, and ran to her friend's house for help. >> i can't understand why someone would water her.

had some suspicious symptoms. enough to be put into isolation for testing. ebola testing from the pennsylvania state lobbies negative on specimens, from an unidentified patient who is being evaluated at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania. the unidentified patient, in stable condition, was unspecified symptoms, was recently in west africa and treated in a specialize lacing unit. hup announced last month it was ready to treat any potential ebola patients equipped to protect against the virus which can only be spread by direct contact with an infected person's blood and other body fluids. >> the best way to prevent transmission is to prevent contact with skin all together by wavering gloves, gowns, masks, eye protection. >> reporter: local hospitals and health officials have been on high alert for ebola wearing protective gear and doing drills. is there a large population of people from west africa in the philadelphia region. city health officials are

tree to ring in the holiday season. >> can't wait. >> i like it. >> meteorologist kate bilo is their life with the cbs-3 mobile weather lab, hi, kate. >> reporter: hi chris and guess contact i love coming to peddler's village every year because i slip santa claus my wish list early when we get to light the village. that is coming up just after 6:00 o'clock. for right now let's talk about weather. it feels like christmastime out here. we have been talking about our weather watchers program and i have a a few live weather watchers joining me right now. these are siblings mariah and michael and they will help me deliver the forecast. do you want to tell me about what we see here weather-wise. >> it is 31 degrees fahrenheit and it feels really, really cold. >> it does. you have that great head band keeping your ears warm so that is good. and then now michael are you excited about this grand illumination. >> very. >> very excited. you know santa claus is on here. are you on the nice list or naughty list. >> i don't know.

>> we will find out soon enough what list michael is on. i will say nice list because did you a good job helping me out here today. everybody here are you excited about the grand illumination tonight. >> yeah. >> we are already counting down, we will do this every year, such a great tradition in peddler's village. everybody i talk to comes here every year, they come rain or shine. it is cold but at least it is dry tonight. no flurries but we may see some pretend flurries floating down right about the time santa lights the village. by the way if you'd like to be a weather watcher it is so easy to sign up go to cbs philly.com/watchers and you too can be a part of the network. all right, we've got to talk about weather now because as we know it has been very, very cold today but good news we have not had any rain, we have not had any snow, so at least we have sunshine out there today and you can see on storm scan three things are quiet right now. but temperature wise it is much, much colder then it should be, normal lows are in the upper 30's, right now we're only at 35 at the airport. 32 degrees in reading and 24 in mount pocono. we are going to warm up

heading into the weekend as we await the a arrival the of the storm system early next week. most of the weekend is quiet. we will see sunshine both tomorrow and on sunday, and it is really going to be an overnight rain event. that is sunday night into early monday morning, most of us miss it because we're sleeping but when you wake up monday morning it could be wet for your commute. what to expect for your monday, morning rain, a slow morning commute, wind are southeasterly gusting to 35 miles an hour, but that southwest blow torch wind as we call it will bring temperatures right up to around 70 degrees. very close to the record of 71, setback in 1979. as far as tonight is concerned we're down to 25 degrees, clear skies, but it is frigid. your saturday forecast, not as cold, temperatures rise to the mid 40's a little bit better, we will take it. it is mostly sunny. eagles forecast looks good, not too bad on sunday 53 degrees, we're lucking out with that forecast. it will be great. go birds. lets take a look at your seven day eyewitness weather forecast and we will jump from the 30's today to the 40's
