and now the question, why did she do it. police say their investigation in the tragedy is far from over. good evening, i'm chris may. i'm jessica dean. late this afternoon authorities revealed to all of the young victims plus their mother were found with gunshot wound in her bedroom. >> "eyewitness news" new jersey reporter cleve bryan has more on these late developments, plus what he has learned about the the children's father, cleve. >> reporter: chris and jessica, investigators say they are still trying to pin opinion down a motive but they may never know why jeaninne le page allegedly took a gun to try to kill her children and herself, today they gave us new details on how they say she carried out this gruesome attack. >> reporter: jeaninne le page is believed to have shot her three children and then turn the gun on herself. >> reporter: police confirmed mother and three children found hot in the same bed at this house in tabernacle were part of an attempted murder/suicide. >> a pillow was used to muffle

the gun shot sounds which we believed accounts for the reason why the the other residents of the house did not hear the gun shots. >> reporter: two children who died are 14 year-old nicholas and eight year-old nadia harriman, 11 year old alexander harriman and mother jeaninne le page remain in critical condition. i spoke to the children's father and girl friend who lives in maryland. she said frank harriman is devastated. >> he broke down. he broke down horribly. it was a horrific shock, horrific shock to this man. he loved his children. that is what i do know. >> reporter: many in the community are struggling to understand why such young lives were cut short. jean, who lives next door to the victims, was particularly fond of little nadia. >> it is hard for me right now because when i sit on my sun porch, i can picture her riding by and waving at me. it is just really bad. >> reporter: investigators say the gun was found near le

page. it is an a older revolver that belonged to a deceased relative. she suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and it will be up to the burlington county prosecutor's office whether or not they want to charge her if she survives. reporting live from tabernacle, i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". cleve, thank you very much. tonight police are asking for public's help as they try to catch a suspect who stabbed a woman to death on the delaware county street. it all happen in the 700 block of engel street in chester. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt has the details. >> over 25 years or more. >> reporter: chester resident nate smith was shocked to wake up a and find out someone murdered his friend gwenn lynn williams just a few blocks from her house. >> she was one of the people out here. >> reporter: police said she had a run in with an unknown suspect outside of this home on engel street, just after midnight authorities say she

knock on the door and she collapsed when he got inside. >> i was upstairs and when i came down, they told me that she had gotten stabbed. >> reporter: jackie logan lives in the engel street home and said she has known williams for years. she tells "eyewitness news" that the two spent a lot of time together. >> when the police came i tried to go back and they told me to step back. >> reporter: logan says just a few minutes later police came to this house and detectives are looking at all leads to try to find this suspect. >> i can't understand what took place. i don't see it. >> reporter: if you know anything chester police want to hear from you. reporting from chester david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". laboratory testing has new ruled out what was a potential case of ebola in philadelphia. our health reporter stephanie stahl was first to report this story to day, we know person had recently traveled to west africa and apparently had suspicious symptoms bad enough

drive and hampton road. we have had damage you can see right here from chopper three, you can see that view. the truck hit a gas main and then everyone was in 300 feet of the sink hole was evacuated. hours later the weight of the another truck caused a sin k hole to span. look at it now. it is unclear when all of the resident will be allowed to return. and trouble on the turnpike, an overturned tractor trailer block the eastbound exit ramp this morning at willow grove interchange. it was here, thousands of pound of paper a. we are told traffic was delayed until the scene was cleared but nobody was hurt. an elderly woman is in the hospital tonight after being pulled from a burning home in gloucester county camden county. i broke out in the 700 block of highland avenue this morning. chopper three was over that scene. a second person in that home, was also taken to the hospital for observation, three dogs also died here. officials say that there were no working smoke detectors in that home.

the cause of the fire is under investigation. touching tribute today to this new jersey fire fighter who was killed in the line of duty look chris hunter died on saturday, less than 24 hours after he responded to an emergency call. family and friend gathered this morning at the firehouse in cinnaminson, after a solute his florida draped coffin. chopper three was ahead as that long motorcade made its way to the cemetery for burial. well, tuesday's fire in north wildwood has now claimed a second life, the cape may county fire coordinator arteryon died a day after the fire on west 17th avenue. body of the 36 year-old woman linda martin was found inside that structure. officials believe that the fire began as an accident as martin handled a kerosene heater. baggage handlers that walk off the job at philadelphia international airport return to work today. lawmakers and clergy escorted

well to the north and west, along that new york, pennsylvania border. the temperatures on the rise during the day tomorrow. yesterday, 50, did not make it to the average high of 54. today, way off, tomorrow, getting a little bit closer in the 40's. by sunday, well into the 50's and then by monday, temperatures sky rocketing, possibly to record breaking warmth. it is really good sign of is what coming up. temperature from philadelphia, mainly south and east in the 30's with the exception have of millville, north and west falling fast. great lakes we're in the 20's. we have warmer weather down through the planes and we will see a lit built of everything. first killed tonight. tomorrow high pressure to the south. we need more southeasterly flow. warmer wind for us. that warmth continues to build, driven up by these warm southeasterly winds. sunday we're in the 50's. we will see rain. that will come during nighttime hours into early monday morning. most of us will be sleeping. by monday afternoon, we will have whipping winds, out of the southwest, temperatures,

being driven at least to 07 degrees. we will watch a cold front moving through. after that things get cooler. for monday, morning rain, low, morning commute, at least early part of the commute. then winds kick in gusting to 35, and a the high temperature around 70. the record 71, that setback in 1979. and then we will fast forward to next week, as we are's looking at those computer models for thanksgiving and now getting a little concerned about the travel. the jet stream dips well to the south again, a lot of moisture in the gulf of mexico. we will have a developing area of low pressure. by wednesday this moves up the eastern seaboard so we can have rainy weather for wednesday along the coast. then we will catch a break in the weather for thanksgiving but here comes another low for friday and some of our models are saying rain, maybe mixing with a little wet snow. this would be black friday. we will keep you updated because we know it is a very important forecast. overnight skies will be clear, frigid, low of 25. for tomorrow mostly sunny not quite as cold, high temperature of 46.

today for a friday, we have a situation right here in the off ramp to montgomery drive, from the eastbound schuylkill expressway. you can expect big backup on the eastbound schuylkill expressway as well from this point, so you can see a few, vehicles on the scene here with an accident here, push over, block ago this left hand shoulder. everyone just crawling by over to the right-hand side past that incident. ben franklin bridge looking good so far, so this is actually our camera from the new jersey side from the toll plaza to the taillights there heading westbound on into the the city. slow go, brake lights start mid span from the philadelphia a, moving on slowly there. but trying to get to new jersey from philadelphia we will have no problems doing so-so far. wilmington delaware route 141 southbound closed at boxwood road. your alternate, just take new port gap pike, to get around that accident scene. 295 having a lot of problems so far, today, 295 southbound at route 541 an accident blocking out the left lane
