amounts. winter weather advisory for philadelphia north and west that includes mercer county, new jersey. here's what we expect mainly snow in the lehigh valley, reading berks county, poconos, rain change to go snow from north to south in the philadelphia area and mainly rain through south jersey, central and southern delaware. future weather shows precipitation from the south in the form of rain by 7:00 a.m. starting a as snow in the poconos and then between 10:00 a.m. and noon changing over to snow, even in philadelphia, and rain, still to the south and to the east. it is out of here by 8:00 p.m., good time to travel. snow amounts poconos gets mother load. six to 8 inches. four to six in the extreme northern and western suburbs and lehigh valley. in philadelphia two to 4 inches of snow expected. less's accumulations toward south and east. we will be back with that snow map and go neighborhood by neighborhood, so you can see what to expect where you live. we know you want to know because it is busiest travel day of the year. >> indeed it is, kathy, thanks very much. as storm moves in road crews

gear up for busy 24 hours ahead. >> right now penndot officials are mapping out route toss keep roads clear and our team three coverage with "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones live in norristown, todd. >> reporter: is there good news and bad news associated with this, the bad news of course is the timing, tomorrow being one of the busiest travel days of the year and the good news as kathy mentioned the rain will come first. penndot crews are gearing up for first significant snowstorm of the season, beginning in midnight, crews will begin clock nothing to work to begin their long day, because rain is expect first, crews will not be brining area highways. it will just wash away. rain milk with the warmer temperatures over the past two days means less snow is likely to accumulate on area roads and highways but with that said penndot is urging drivers to be patient and use caution, as there will be a lot of people outside on the road tomorrow. >> we're asking people to either adjust or delay their

travel plans, if possible. if they slow down keep a comfortable distance between you and person in front of you. >> reporter: there are more than 780 accidents last year and three fatalities on pennsylvania roadways that are all attributed to snowy or ice covered road. reporting live from norristown, todd quinones, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> todd, thanks very much. jersey shore is expecting a wind and rain tomorrow with the wind gusts getting pretty strong. lets check with new jersey, our reporter, is live in atlantic city, cleve bryan, our new jersey reporter resident preparing for a very messy wednesday there, cleve. >> reporter: chris, it is really nice right now. looking at dune grass next to me it is barely moving but that is not the case tomorrow. gusts up to 45 miles an hour, there is going to be rain, whipping in your face. i spoke with some of the safety coordinators in town to find out how they are getting

the charge darren wilson in the killing of 18 year-old michael brown. dozens of people face charges after violent demonstrations and destruction. today as business owners took stock of the damage a brown family attorney accused st. louis county prosecutor's office have of failing to present the proper evidence. protests continued today around the country including right here in philadelphia. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch begins our team coverage in north philadelphia where crowds gathered earlier tonight, justin. >> reporter: jessica, much of the foot traffic has moved on from what appeared to be a crowd of several hundred people making their way from broad and cecil b moore long cecil b. moore. i want to show from you chopper three just a few moments ago of that crowd moving along south on 19th street going towards center city, destination at this point is unknown but getting back here on the ground to that crowd moving along, cb moore again a crowd of all kind of people, young and old, men and women, several members

of the clergy as well there. they are being track, of course by police on bicycles and plainclothes and cruisers as well. we saw several demonstrators gathering a short time ago at corner of broad and moore at temple's morgan residential hall, calling for action in the case of mike brown. we spoke to one demonstrator who felt that she had to be here this evening, take a listen. >> i feel like i shouldn't speak on the subject i feel like i don't i have right too but i want them to know they are in the alone in knowing this is an injustice, this is not okay, and this is a country wide issue and we're in philadelphia, we're not in ferguson and we are still trying to stand up for what is right. >> reporter: of course, the grand jury find nothing reason to indict office are darren wilson in the shooting death of michael brown. we are looking at a portrait here on broad street of michael brown. demonstrators here coming over to sign that picture with

"eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson was with the protesters as they marched up broad street and he has that part of the coverage. >> mike brown. >> reporter: 2 miles of north broad street doused in emotion. hundreds, protesters chanting, screaming, marching, all fists in bloody faces frustrated with justice, angry with the world. >> of course people are still angry because we feel like do our lives matter. >> reporter: members of the multi cultural march questioning a lot taking action by showing force. >> i'm out here, and sitting behind a desk we value life so much that allows somebody who obviously murdered an innocent kid in cold blood to walk. >> reporter: with no incident they marched from city hall to temple's campus, joined by

police and onlookers. >> this is a show of solidarity and thinks us showing that we don't agree what is happening in this world right now. >> reporter: 2 miles later most here now know nothing has change. >> we will do something good for our country and we want to be heard and that is why we are here. >> reporter: at very least they are demanding the conversation. along north broad street steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". mayor nutter supports demonstrators, today he said protests around the city of been peaceful. >> people have a right to protest and i think that people have a right to be outraged about what happened. i don't think that just advertise was really served and they are still many unanswered questions. things that we just can't understand. >> nutter also said police are working with the protesters to make sure everyone is safe. the philadelphia eagles star wide receiver jeremy maclin grew up in the st. louis area and played college football at university of missouri. today maclin was asked about the situation in ferguson.

district attorney seth williams says 56 year old brian meehan assaulted the girl who was a allegedly forced in to prostitution by two of his clients. williams ace he was sickened by the details of this case. >> i believe there is a very special police in hell for men like brian meehan. girl told police she had been recruited by the couple to have sex with men for money. they would beat her and threaten to kill her, if she would try to leave them. >> meehan is allegedly one of the men victim was sent to, as for the couple, an investigation is ongoing but so far in charges have been filed. it is an area hospital that treats sickes children from here and all around the country. today south of st. christopher's extended their care to families in need in their community. staff members handed out meals to 300 families as part of the fifth annual turkey dinner drive. >> this is sort of a sign, that even if we don't know you, we care that you are going through hard times, we believe you are trying to make things better and we want to help you out.

to sign up. outside, looking good in center city philadelphia and on the camden side, this is view from campbell's feel, with mostly cloudy skies. fifty-one at the airport. forty-four in allentown. cooling down in the poconos sitting at 41 degrees. poconos where we will see the heavier snow, and that is where we will like to see it. winter storm warning in effect for those counties to the north and west of philadelphia, our extreme north and western suburbs, western part of the chester county and northward. we are looking at hazardous travel, in this area, beginning by late morning. and if you want to travel safely, we advise go before 7:00 a.m. mainly rain up the northeast extension toward scranton. it will be breezy. have after 8:00 p.m. another good time to travel because the snow will have ended by then and we should see improvement in the roads. here's our storm system late tonight moving towards the north east, by the 7:00 a.m. hour we are looking at rain making it through most of the region.

poconos, snow just beginning, between 10:00 a.m. and noon we are looking at a change over to snow in philadelphia, by 2:00 o'clock we are seeing heavier snow. storm pull as way and takes moisture with it. this is a a fast moving storm. not a lot of time to see accumulation especially through south jersey as the cold air moves in, and the storm pulls out. by 8:00p m you can see going west on 80, north on the northeast extension, or even, through new york, things are really winding down. only place that will be tough tomorrow night will be through new england because boston will be seeing brunt of the storm then. then by late night hours and partly cloudy skies. as fares the accumulation six to 8 inches in the poconos. lesser amounts in south jersey. snow showers at the very end of the event through millville, woodbine and shore but nothing of any consequence or anything sticking. coat to go 2 inches, slushy coat to go two and hammington, and clayton, allaway and smyrna. slushty or three in philadelphia possible on the grass surfaces, that four towards a northwest win west.

toward warminster and rag inner. four to six in pottstown, perkasie, allentown. heading in the lehigh valley and poconos seeing heavier snow with colder temperatures. with temperatures around freezing we're talking about sloppy snow that sticks to grass. more nuisance in the city then anything else. clinging to trees and branches and in that warning area it will take some limbs down. that brings up the possibility of power outages. so please be aware of that especially if you live closer to the lehigh valley. overnight low of 38, early highs around 40 and falling. temperatures mainly around freezing during the afternoon. on the exclusive eyewitness weather seven day forecast, thanksgiving is just chilly with a high of 41, black friday as i recall is always windy and cold, and friday, will be the same. high of 39. they do that so that you'll go inside and shop. that is mother nature's plan. saturday for you 43. sunday 54. feeling good monday and even next tuesday we will see a warm up. >> well, tomorrow will be very

interesting. >> very interesting. >> kathy, thanks. lots of problems and police activity on the vine street expressway, so here's what we are doing right here, this is broad street running along top right here. this is vine street expressway, right in the center. vine street local on the left-hand side right there and a lot of police activity trying to block protesters to get their marching way back down broad street. they are trying to prevent any people from trying to get on like i said eastbound vine street expressway. they are trying to prevent any pedestrian from getting ton that highway at this point . you can see one, two, three, four, five, several police cars on the scene creating a hugh monk us backup in the center city area for quite sometime now. i wish i could say better things from the jersey side but i cannot. completely a string of lights all brake lights the entire length of the bridge heading westbound into the city moving long slowly. you have to get to new jersey from philadelphia we have no problems doing so-so far. chris and jessica, back to you.
