are you ready to head out for the who will will day or just waiting around for company to come over. >> lets get to katie for that holiday forecast. happy thanksgiving, good morning. >> happy thanksgiving to both of you, maybe you are watching. maybe you are up dark and early as we like to call it. >> yes. >> then all of the fixins ready to go. we have early risers out there. happy thanksgiving once again. thankfully weather looking quieter. if you are waiting on some friends and family to come in today, perhaps waiting out the storm, we will look so much better. still a few residual issues to discuss but we will start off with sky cam three, all is clear at this point, my friend, we will throw current can traditions overtop. temperatures are still chilly, in the city we're at 36 degrees but that does mean if you go in the remote suburbs we will fine pretty cold air. now lets back it up here, how did we do. up in mount pocono we hit an exact 8 inches. new trip poly, half a foot full of heavy slushy snow n ewing it was an inch.

there was such a sharp gradient that set up between that rain snow line and it meant you got pummeled with snow yesterday or you had virtually nothing and mainly a rain storm. with that said we do still have some lingering snow showers out there if you are traveling and taking you up that northeast extension and leaving in the next say, half an hour to 45 minutes. you could potentially still be running into some additional snow flakes. but it won't be variety that has the chance to really stick too easily, maybe sticking to the roads briefly but we are not looking at much more in the way of accumulation out here. here's where we stan, 33 in allentown. so marginal with freezing i war that i left over slush or any oven just wet roadways could freeze back over. that is one final concern. unless roads were treated you might need to worry about. of course we have the the parade stepping off at 8:30. 35 degrees for that at kick off but we are only expecting the temperature to climb only 5 degrees. the clouds out there, all of the thanksgiving day holiday

snow coming through our area yesterday. now way up to the north east. it is more maine atlantic, canada concern but you can see these snow showers falling right around say pretty much from montgomery and bucks, up into the pocono region that whole span. meanwhile rest of the country is quieting down in the wake of the system and that cold pocket of air. things are completely empty lets just say over texas. with that said we are looking at good weather here for anybody that was lucky enough, maybe you have friends or family that booked it out to will dallas for the game today. we have lots of unshine. this turkey want to be in every graphic. sunny skies, nice and pleasant out there for you in dallas, back here at home we are still dealing with lingering concerns. that being slushy roadways, the wet roads that may still be left over that could freeze over early this morning with temperatures still very marginal with freezing. there could be patchy black ice. if you waited out the storm that was a good move but there may be still minor residual issues.

route this morning but it is not snowing. happy thanksgiving everyone. >> that is so true at least it is not snowing. let's head over to katie for the forecast and some good weather heading our way. >> definitely. at least quiet, it might not be as bright and sunny as would you hope for, necessarily but it is calmer. that is the big key here. not everybody is completely out of the woods just yet, we are seeing the brunt of the storm system pulling well off to the north and east at this point but there is a wrap around residual pocket of snow showers that we will take you out to on storm scan three. look at that there you go. we saw a couple flurries across northeastern most philadelphia, here but for the most part you saw, the bulk of any of this little pocket of ow showers falling through northeast extension, allentown, bethlehem, ease exton area but it is further to the north. you can see it pulling away and it will be fizzling as we move forward in time here. you are generally looking at just some clouds today, limited sunshine is what we will call it. it is chilly, at best we are

looking at lower 40's. tomorrow we will have a hard time breaking out of the 40's as cold air settles in, and skies clear. we will drop a little bit more on the thermometer. upcoming weekend while still chilly initially it has a nice warm up, up its sleeves. we will talk about that on the show. here's where we stan with our current temperatures going outside, 35 degrees in philadelphia, especially with the snow showers and traveling north this morning you might still have some slick spots to contend with as these temperatures are very close to freezing but we have a parade to talk about and today at 8:30 we are still seeing temperatures home at 35, but somewhat steady on it thermometer for now and as i mentioned we are looking at clouds today. happy thanksgiving, everybody. it is a chilly forecast for the standards ovulate november but i think just the sheer fact that things are calming down is a good side for us here and will stick with us as we head forward in the upcoming weekend. quick check of the live
