looking at lower 40's. tomorrow we will have a hard time breaking out of the 40's as cold air settles in, and skies clear. we will drop a little bit more on the thermometer. upcoming weekend while still chilly initially it has a nice warm up, up its sleeves. we will talk about that on the show. here's where we stan with our current temperatures going outside, 35 degrees in philadelphia, especially with the snow showers and traveling north this morning you might still have some slick spots to contend with as these temperatures are very close to freezing but we have a parade to talk about and today at 8:30 we are still seeing temperatures home at 35, but somewhat steady on it thermometer for now and as i mentioned we are looking at clouds today. happy thanksgiving, everybody. it is a chilly forecast for the standards ovulate november but i think just the sheer fact that things are calming down is a good side for us here and will stick with us as we head forward in the upcoming weekend. quick check of the live neighborhood network all is

joining us. i have a feeling you have been doing this since birth. >> i think the first year i did it i was like 106789 you have to ask my dad, i don't even remember. i remember coming in and seeing all of the light like this. >> reporter: this is normal to you. >> yeah, every year. >> reporter: how many bird will come through the door today. >> it is usually around a 100 or 125, and then we have people coming in later in the day. we try to be as accommodating as possible but we say six or 7:00 and that is when we cut it off. >> very busy, very soon. >> yes. >> there is already a line down the block, people have their turkies in their hand waiting to start tagging them. we are setting up here and pretty soon we will let people into put their tag, everybody gets a number and we tag them and put them over here by brick oven and they will go in around 7:30. >> they come out around noon,

12:30. >> bigger ones take longer but they come around the same time and that is when the madness starts, everybody starts piling into get their turkey. >> everybody is hungry by then. >> yes. >> your family using the oven. >> we have three or four of them, for our family, so. >> reporter: what sit like to be part of the tradition. everybody around here knows about cacia's bakery what is that like, we have a young person and someone possibly going to be donning the reign is a at that point. >> it is exciting because it is different every year. you learn new things. i have watched my dad put the turkies in the brick oven and i watch him, be able to shift them because of enis hot on different part of the oven. he calls himself the the quarterback. hopefully, i'm the quarterback. i'm just backup right now. hopefully i can be as knowledgeable as him. >> reporter: so talk but what you are doing here, how are you getting ready.

>> i'm trying to teach my son how to do this so i can stay in bed one of these years. right now my father is in bed, and he won't be anywhere near here until at least 9:00 owe clock. >> when the money comes. >> i'm cutting all of the wire tags here so when people come in, i necessity there is people waiting outside. i'm trying to get everything ready so i can get them in and out real quick. >> reporter: first person arrived just after 4:00 that is how much people want to get in here. >> it is a testament to the job we do here, it is not easy, but after all these years it becomes second nature. >> reporter: i'm sure you see some people come back year after year after year. >> they do. >> reporter: what is that like. >> i sees a lot of the same faces every year and some new ones to go with it but yeah, like people trust us with

shopping deals head to our web site at cbs philly.com. we will put a thanksgiving guide right on our home page. your time is 5:36. in other news this morning several demonstrators storm city hall in st. louis during a protest over ferguson grand jury decision. few dozen protesters made it in the building yesterday while shouting shame, shame. police locked the down and called in more than 100 officers to help control the crowd, at least two people were arrested. for the first time we're hearing from the mother of michael brown since grand jury decided not to indict ferguson officer darren wilson in her son's death. >> we heard the announcement and it was just like i had been shot, like you shoot me now, just no respect, no sympathy, no nothing. so my emotions were raging and i had had to go over and let them know you really just don't care, do you good that grand jury decision sparked two days of unrest in ferguson

and several hundred other protests nationwide. the man at the center of the the fire storm officer darren wilson is in talks to leave the ferguson police department. his lawyer told cnn quote it is not a question of if, but a question of when. right now wilson is on paid administrative leave. he told associates he would resign, as a way to help ease pressure and protect his fellow officers. well, video captures moments right before cleveland police shot and killed a 12 year-old boy. in this video tamer rice is seen waving his toy bee-bee gun around. after 911 calls police kara arrives and pulls up in front of the rice. two officers get out and within moments shoot and kill him. police say rice was told three times to raise his hands. our time is now 5:37n sports sixers on the wrong side of history again, find out how they just earned a spot in the team's record books. forget black friday you can score some big deals today, we will let you know

a and as the bulk of this storm starts to pull far off to the north and east we will be left with some clouds but that is really it. atmosphere needs to quiet down and we can rest easy for rest of not just this holiday but in the rest of the weekend too and with that said there will be a warm up that comes our way. if perhaps you were waiting for those holiday travel plans until today, it was a smart move. right now we have no delays really anywhere around the region as a whole and that goes for the rest of the united states. when we take you further south, chicago, detroit, memphis, atlanta all of these hubs looking good. all is okay right now. those things are quieted down in time for the holiday, right. lets go to the eyewitness weather watcher network. we have had a couple fresh observations and almost every single will one reports temperatures that are at 35 degrees or lower. we are still very marginal with freezing obviously. whether you are in talk are ton, new jersey or mount gretna or sailorsberg where

quickly and temperature rises we then take a piece of reynold's foil and we tent turkey. this with slow browning of the breast so we can have the turkey come out perfectly and nice and moist. >> i necessity you are a chef, so what are some tips that you can give us that will ensure a delicious turkey for this thanksgiving, quick tips. >> well, a tip that number one would be the taking small amount of oil and brushing the outside of the turkey. that will help in the browning of the turkey. also the most important of all is using a thermometer and reaching those temperatures that i mentioned. 180 in the thigh, 170 in the breast. >> i nose you have a busy day ahead. is what the best part of being part of this turkey talk line for you. >> for me, it is being able to use my talents and really help, my background in the food service industry and helping our, anyone who comes
