$10,000 reward for any information that may lead to shane montgomery's whereabouts. the 21-year-old west chester university student was last seen early thursday morning at a bar in manayunk. "eyewitness news" reporter matt rivers is live with more on the search. matt? >> reporter: jessica, the church behind me here at the corner of crescent and rectory streets in manayunk serve as the home face for the dozens of volunteers who spent the last two days searching for the missing college student. take a good look at this photo. this is shane montgomery. senior at west chester university. he's 5-foot 11 with green eyes, last seen wearing that gray shirt and he's been missing since 2:00 a.m. thursday morni morning. >> heart broken. there are no words. none. his mother karen and father kevin are struggling stricken with the fear of what might have happened but stoic in pursuit of their mission. >> pretty much exhausted, but

just fine the strength to keep going. we're going to find him. that's the bottom line. >> reporter: they were joined in their search by dozens of volunteers who fanned out across manayunk on friday. here's what they know so far. around 1:45 thursday morning, shane got separated from his friends at kildare's pub on main street. when he didn't come home dad kevin picked up the phone. >> see if he got arrested. see if he was in the hospital. see if there were any john does. >> when that turned up nothing, he asked for help. hours later, missing person flyers dotted dozens of look tri cal poles and social media campaign ramped up hashtag help find shane was trending on twitter locally by friday night. that joined police detectives and k9 units. police helicopter scanning the river banks as night fell. >> we're just hoping that he -- if he can hear me, that he knows that we are looking for him and that we love him and i'm going to find him. >> reporter: there you can see

one of the dozens of missing person flyers posted around the manayunk area trying to help find shane montgomery. the search has been suspended for the rest of this evening. it is set to resume at the church behind me tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. we're live in manayunk tonight matt rivers cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> matt, thank you. new tonight an suv plows into a pharmacy in northeast philadelphia. this happened just after 6:00 tonight in the 9400 block of state road in torresdale. police say the woman behind the wheel got confused and accidentally drove through the storefront. no one was hurt. that pharmacy was closed. >> ray rice's indefinite suspension from the nfl for domestic violence is overturned and he can now play immediately. arbitrator who presided over rice's appeals hearing announced that decision today. nfl commission are in roger goodell suspended the form mr. ravens running back for two games in july for assaulting his now wife janay inside a casino elevator in atlantic city in

february. goodell then suspended rice indefinitely in september after video of that incident from inside the elevator surfaced. rice argued during his appeals hearing that he was unfairly penalized twice. the arbitrator agreed saying the nfl knew of the existence of that elevator video and that rice did not lie to the nfl about the incident during a june interview. the nnf has released a statement reading in part "we respect judge jones' decision to reinstate ray rice from his indefinite suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy in an incident of domestic violins. based on the judge jones' decision, he will be eligible to play upon signing the a new contract ". >> a very cold start to the weekend but could a warmup in our future? meteorologist kate bilo is feeling the chill on this cbs-3 sky deck and joins us now with first forecast. kate. thanks jessica. yeah just looking around at the sky to see if i can still see stars the clouds have not moved in yet.

"eyewitness news" reporter david spunt talked to exhausted shoppers. >> i wasn't planning oncoming shopping. my daughter twisted my arm arm and got me out who are. >> reporter: in the end erika says she's glad she came out on black friday at the deptford mall much this black friday looked a little different. >> as bad you thought with the crowds. >> not as bad. >> reporter: we found lots of people not just the usual black friday cloud crowd where it's hard to walk. one reason may be because local malls opened 6:00 o'clock thursday night and stayed open straight through 10:00 o'clock friday night. >> i've been working since 7:00 on thanksgiving. >> she has three jobs it wasn't her choice to pull the marathon shift. >> i've had a lot of caffeine. a couple double shots of

espresso. >> reporter: rob says opening on thanksgiving day is a big problem. >> it ruins the tradition. it's not -- you know, traditionally the way it's supposed to be done. you know, day after thanksgiving, you go. you get excited. 6:00 in the morning. >> reporter: but now if you get to a place at sick in the morning you may have missed out on your chance to find that low price. >> i used to work at far get and we used to get tons of people in the morning. now that rush isn't there no more. no more fun to it. >> reporter: some say opening the night before is a good thing because the new black friday may mean less people. >> i thought it was going to be a lot a lot of possible. i thought it was going to be thousands of people but it's not really busy. >> done with black friday the neck thing cyber monday on monday but tomorrow we're talking about small business saturday. a chance for some of those small businesses to get in on the action. reporting from deptford, david superintendent cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> dozens of stores at the king of prussia mall in montgomery county stayed open overnight offering some deep discounts.

police officer on darren wilson for shooting the unarmed teenager. police say today's demonstration was peaceful. >> that was just one of the protests held nationwide today in the wake of that grand jury decision. tonight police in northern california and la have arrested an and known number of marchers. in chicago, about 200 people marched near the magnificent mile shopping district asking people not to shop. 10 miles south of ferguson in st. louis a couple hundred protesters briefly shut down the gallery ya mall. some workers there support the protests. >> so happy that people are this dedicated to come out, you know, and not worry about the sales that you can get. protests were also held in new york, seattle and other major cities. >> a gunman who fired more than 100 rounds at downtown buildings in austin texas today has now been identified. larry mcwilliams shot and killed after a confrontation with officers early this morning. he tried to set the mexican consulate on fire.

no one was hurt. police do say mcwilliams has a criminal record but his motives here are unclear. it's not known if he was killed by police or took his own life. >> in delaware county, dozens of dogs and cats have new homes for the holidays. today the delco spca invited black friday shoppers to adopt. that was one of the first placements right there pearl the pitbull. she was found starving in a backyard in chester octobe october 7th but this morning a healthy and energetic pearl headed to her forever home. >> so much spirit. so much permit and that was never broken. by the people who did this to her. >> she is so precious much she's -- she's definitely a pearl. >> very sweet. they beat their goal of 50 adoptions. 59 dogs and cats were ultimately adopted. and in honor of black friday animals with black fur were adopted for a special price. there are amazing rescue caught on video. two young boys buried in a pile

>> up credible story tonight from two boys trapped for hours under a huge pile of snow in new york. the cups since then-year-old jason rivera and 11-year-old elijah martinez had had been building a snow fort wednesday night when a plow came along and

pushed snow against it a police officer saw their shovel and started digging for them. the boys say they did everything they could to break free. >> me and my cousin were both in a fort in the snow. the whole top of the fort just fell on us. motivating each other like to -- like not go to sleep. keep yelling. keep moving our body trying to break out. >> smart boys. eyewitnesses say the police officers who pulled that many out of the snow bank got around of applause. just how low can gas price goss? the price of crude oil dropped 10% today that means drivers will continue to pay less at the pump. according to the triple a nationwide average for a gallon of regular fuel now stands at $2.79. that is the lowest level in five years. analysts forecast prices will continue to fall and could go as low as 2.50-gallon. let's take a look what people are paying locally. pennsylvania drivers paying $2.95 a gallon. new jersey drivers paying $2.66 and delaware drivers are paying

$2.79. friday isn't just for americans any more. retailers in london are now offering black friday deals and some stores the crowds are getting a little chaotic. >> you can see the pushing, the shoving at this store which is owned by wal*mart. man chester police arrested at least two people. a woman and another store was even injured by a falling television but we're told her injuries were not serious. >> a frustrated mom says for years she struggled to find african-american dollars for her child. as charlotte huffman reports this mom is on a mission to create change for kids. >> for vanessa butler every black friday is frustrating but this year i was enough is enough. it's not fair. >> reporter: butler's daughter wants of this year's hottest the barbie and ken mini cooper set the problem mattel only makes it with caucasian barbie and ken. in tell told butler she could buy it separately but that will cost more.

>> i'm going to pay two times what the caucasian parent would pay to have the convertible and barbie and ken and three separate boxes instead of it being a gift set they made. exclusively for caucasians barbie. >> we found another child's christmas wish for an african-american barbie on this giving tree in new jersey. se we searched oh and line retailers like target where there are more than $600 dolls. 30 of which are african-american and went inside stores like toys r us where similar story. row aft row of caucasian dolls with a few african-american dolls in between. >> it makes me feel hurt as parent because i have to tell my child no, set get something she really wants. >> reporter: we wanted to know if the reason you see a limited selection of african-american dolls on store aisles like this one because the stores aren't buying them or simply because the manufacturers aren't making them. online we found mattel makes and sells 240 dolls only nine of them are african-american.

another doll manufacturer hasbro offers nearly 60 dolls, eight are african-american. hoping by next year aisles like this will like more diverse butler created online petition against toy makers and retaile retailers. >> this is an injustice and maybe that might change their minds and make them create more diverse selection. >> reporter: we reached out to big named toy makers like hasbro and mattel to ask them about this. so far those calls have not been returned. i'm charlotte huffman cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> well tis the season for ice skating. powder on top of it. the slopes were very busy on this camera all night long now things have quited down. of course, as were head toward the overnight hours but it looks like great conditions for skiing this weekend as the snow machines keep on going. certainly cold enough for that. we do have a few clouds starting to move on in. i told you about the moon earlier i weren't back to try to take a picture of it the clouds had moved in and/or secured it. clouds moving in from the west right now and we're going to see those clouds continue to increase through the overnight hours but generally dry conditions tonight and into tomorrow. right now though down to 29 already at the airport. 21 in allentown. 27 in reading and 28 in wilmington. normal lows this time of the year in the mid to upper 30s see we're well below average and that trend will continue as we head through the remainder of tonight and tomorrow but then finally getting back up toward normal by sunday. here's a look what you'll wake up to saturday morning if you stumble outside to take the dog out or grab the paper. bundle up. 26 tomorrow morning in reading. 21 in allentown. some spots in lehigh northampton

counties down into the teens mount pocono 16. philadelphia 25 these numbers may be too high compared to what we're seeing now. 12 in the poconos. 40s tomorrow with some sunshine not a bad day. can't rule out a spray sprinkle or flurry. southwest flow to resume and by sun today we're back to the 50 50's. monday very mild. awaiting the arrival of this cold front. we'll get near 60 and then showers come in monday night. and we'll trim back the warmth a little before the and get back to colder temperatures by tuesday. overnight partly cloudy, it is cold down to 25 degrees for the overnight low. for your saturday, again, not bad not as cold today. look for a mixture of sun and clouds. stray flurry here and there 43 degrees the daytime high. we should be in the low 50s this time of the year and that's where we'll get. finally on sunday, no travel problems for the rest of the holiday week and. monday a high near 60. breezy and mild. mostly cloudy. but then tuesday, little bit colder again and up and downing in week. wednesday we're back to 52 but chance for a shower. then colder against thursday as we head back to the 40s.

>> first family welcomed the white house christmas tree in the nation's capitol. first lady michelle obama and her daughters sasha and malia were hand as the 18.5 douglas fir arrived. just like this last year this tree comes from the crystal tree farm in car been county pennsylvania. it will be on display in the blue room. >> santa claus had busy day today. "eyewitness news" in conshohocken as santa lit the christmas tree at the old borough hall. got a little lift from fire department ladder truck and then he posed for photos with kids. >> and people lined station avenue in haddon heights camden county for the annual holiday parade. phenomenal scene with the town's fire trucks deck out in sparkling lights. look the that. santa claus making an appearance here. following the parade officials flipped the switch to light the town's christmas tree and for the first time a star on top of the library there. looking good. do you love putting on light show for the holidays? we know you're out there.
