no sign of him found yesterday in a manayunk canal. twenty-one year old shane montgomery still missing from manayunk on the day before thanksgiving, today still no word, since 2:00 a.m. thursday, there has been no sign of shane, after he didn't come home, his dad, kevin, began making calls. >> see if he got arrested, see if he was in the hospital, see if there were any john doe's. >> there were none. still, a gown search lands. , manned by volunteers, many who didn't know shane. also, assisting, philadelphia police and the fbi. >> just hoping if he can hear me that he knows that we are looking for him. >> on sunday, the search for the wets chester university senior turned to the manayunk canal, going step-by-step, the philadelphia police marine unit had to feel for any signs of shane in those dark waters. he was not there. >> it is upsetting knowing this is what they have to do. but also, i can't express my

gratitude, to the police department. >> montgomery last seen at kill dare irish pub across the street from the canal. he was out with family, friends, celebrating just turning 21, but the group was broken up, after bouncer sent shane home, after he knock over a bar stool. >> now, family and friend who were with shane at the bar, say did he not appear drunk when he left. at this point, there is a reward for credible information in his disappearance, it is for $15,000 set to resume at the schuylkill schuylkill. >> thank you, story exclusive "eyewitness news". the man randomly attack by a group of teenagers in south philly victim said he parked his van near 20th and oregon, got out but forgot his wallet and turned back. that's when he says the group charged at him pinning him down on the sidewalk, and began beating him.

>> georgia couple held without bail this morning accused every holding 13 year old boy captive in their home for years. they appeared in court for the first time yesterday. the boy is the man's son. in 2012, police say, he visited his father, but was never allowed to leave. four years later, the boy was finally able to send a text message to his mother. police found him soon after inside the house hidden behind a fake wall. >> he's outside. at least once a week doing yard work.

this was a scene on east coulter street, everyone was able to get out safely, but authorities believe this may not be an isolated incident. authorities also believe this particular incident stems from a dispute, between a few teenage girls over a boy. now, this time, no arrests have been made. >> federal investigate erring teams one philadelphia to police to search for missing west chester university student, five days after he was last seen. >> justin fin in manayunk right now with the latest on the search effort. justin, good morning. >> good morning, yes, not uncommon for the fbi to join in the search for missing persons, they do it quite a bit. bringing with him additional resources, from manpower, to expertise, than can often boost these investigations, just yesterday, the family of shane montgomery sat on these canal banks, as crews searched

the water for him here. but they found no sign of him on sunday, in that canal. the philadelphia police marine unit went on foot wading through the water feeling around for any signs of shane montgomery. no signs of shane were found. >> now missing task force assisting this investigation. initial search was lane by family and friend as well as volunteers, shane was last seen early thanksgiving morning, at killdare's irish pub off main street. he was there with family and friend celebrating just having turned 21 years old. he was asked to leave by a bouncer after he knock over some barstools. now friends say when they saw shane leave did he not appear in anyway drunk to them. shane's mother was here for hours on sunday watching as crews search for her son, she said watching them search that canal and those waters were hard to watch.
