through center city streets, they came down market street, they headed up, 16th street right in downtown center city philadelphia. they did tie up traffic as they walk down middle of market treat but protesters so far here of been very peaceful. now all of this started just after 4:00 o'clock this afternoon at what protesters were calling a die in, at 30th street station, there, just after 4:00 o'clock this afternoon many protesters lied down there in the busy 30th street station and then moments after that die in was complete they then took to the streets and began marching through center city, eventually making their way, back inside city hall where right now, again protests are continuing to be loud, and they continue to make sure their voices are heard but as of right now we have no indication of any sort of arrests or any problems associated with the protest. reporting live tonight, at city hall, i'm todd quinones for cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

look for suspects in the beat ago this was caught on surveillance video. take a look at the incident that happened back on november 15th at north fourth street. a 17 year-old young man was walking home just before 1:00 in the morning when he was attack by these three suspects. he was beaten, and lost consciousness, in the streets. >> he just has a broken jaw, lost a number of teeth, and some other damage to his face. it will be quite sometime before he is actually healed. >> a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and convictions of those suspects. a triple shooting in king sessing has left a man in critical condition tonight. two others were also injured and the search is on for a gunman. investigators say at least five shots were fired by four men, just before noon time at 54th and pardonnal. the crowd ran in the convenient store, one weapon was recovered and police are reviewing surveillance video hoping to get a better look at their suspects.

a new jersey woman faces animal abuse charges and humane officials have taken all of her horses. this comes a week after the iteam's charlotte huffman first reported allegations of abuse at her exclusive investigation. tonight, charlotte has this follow-up. >> reporter: this is what we saw when we went to monica thor's barn in swedesboro last month, a horse struggling to walk, requiring support to stand up for long. others sawhorses in her care in similar shape. >> it is devastating, when you see it, your heart breaks. >> reporter: critics claim new jersey department of agriculture and spca for dragging their feet while investigating allegations of abuse. states investigation began more than a year and a half ago. since then, three horses have died. >> there is no excuse why these horses continue to suffer. >> reporter: following our first story, horse lovers gathered outside thor's barn to demand action. >> we're here, where are you. >> reporter: they came from rescue groups to offer help

authorities say that they needed nerd to act. >> they say we don't have money, we don't have trailers, if a dead horse needs to be removed, what will we do. now that we are here showing you guys we want to help. >> reporter: late yesterday authorities stepped in. the spca seized all seven of thor's horses and filed two counts of animal cruelty against her. >> we're so happy horses have been rescued. we want to thank iteam and animal advocates and legislators who all stepped in. >> reporter: today thor said she was on her way to say good bye to two of the horses being put down due to foot infections which she says was caused by the glue she used to attach their shoes. >> listen, i made a mistake. i used a glue two or three years ago, we started with this glue in 2011, yes. it was my mistake. ii didn't know that this was going to happen to my horses feet. that was something i didn't mean too i didn't mean to do

this to my horses. >> reporter: state is evaluating five remaining horses deemed overweight. th or says she would never intentionally cause the animals arm and believes that heele them again soon. >> i will find myself an attorney and i will get my other five horses back because all of those horses were training, they are lunging, i had them on the race track. i am going to get my horses back. >> whether he gets those five horses back will be up to a south harrison township judge, and in an arraignment date has been set for late january, and at that point, she will have an opportunity to plead guilty or not guilty to those charges. >> you will be at that arraignment. >> absolutely. >> thanks, charlotte. need to to know, temperatures were on the warmer side today, it was still a mess thanks today long rain. outer lanes near ryan avenue. that little girl was a student at little flower catholic high school and he was walking to the bus stop at the time. police say that she was hit in the crosswalk, and we talk today, with some of her classmates. >> it is horrible, we know that she was absent with you we didn't think a tragedy would happen. >> we know when she's not in class because she is a really good person. >> investigators say victim did sustain serious head drama, the driver of that truck did stop at the scene. a vigil is underway in west chester university for student shane montgomery who went out with friend in manayunk night before thanksgiving and never came home. hanging up flyers, missing person flyers. as investigators penitentiary more time searching in and around the schuylkill river for hain montgomery, his aunt ran the show inside the saint john the baptist rectory, goal, put up as many missing posters as possible. >> shane is still missing, somebody knows something and we need to find him. >> reporter: maryann whitman join montgomery's friend to put up new posters with updated information. >> whether that is hanging flyers or just sharing something on facebook, getting the word out there, we have to keep, keep going. >> i need my best friend back. >> reporter: ryan mcgillaway is shane montgomery's roommate and says he is increasingly frustrated were not knowing what happened. >> even the most insignificant information is are important and it is unreal that nobody has come forward yet. >> reporter: but mcgilla away says he needs to stay positive for shane's sake. he said positive means productive and that is what montgomery's family needs.

we saw fog beginning to lift and at the very end you can see some better visibility right now winds west very light. in philadelphia 47. 40 degrees in allentown, poconos. it is only 35. quakertown pottstown even doylestown checking in at 41. 44 degrees in willow grove. high pressure builds in tonight, skies clear, tomorrow unshine, haven't seen that in a while but temperatures chilly for your thursday and clouds will begin to roll role in late in the day with those high clouds. friday a in mostly cloudy day as a cold front and warm front approach from the south and the west but this air will be milder, so we will be seeing some warming temperatures by the weekend but look at that big area of low pressure to make sure it stays fairly wet at least for saturday, possibly into sunday. lets look at these rain amounts. rain moves in friday night, by saturday evening, about a half inch in philadelphia and trenton to the south and east, less, to the north and west, close to an inch of rain in some spots. overnight tonight skies clear,

attitude good thanks, kathy. and at 6:20 we have a really busy commute so far, out on i-95 around 322, an accident, blocking out the left-hand lane here and partially, police activity right there in the center median as everyone head north bound toward commodore barry bridge forced off in the right two hand lanes there causing quite a bit of backups and speaking of backup, vine street expressway camera here causing problems out in center city, vine street expressway local, we have a lot of detours due to protesting and police activity the on the scene blocking off some on ramps. we seem to be opened as of right now but problems between 19th and 23rd street and protest have a a lot of police directing traffic around the entire city hall area with a lot of people in the area, market street and broad street are going to be completely stack up at this time. now rest of our majors 422 westbound from 202 into oaks a
