>> early morning blaze sends one to the hospital. >> jan carabeo joins us from the scene, where an investigation into what sparked this blaze is underway right now. january, good morning. >> reporter: ukee, erika, good morning, you mention there was a fire one week ago, same sort of circumstances. this is a vacant building here, in frankford. so, fire officials will be treating this as a suspicious fire since no one lived here and the utilities were off. you can see it has call l down dramatically, some fire crews actually start today roll up hose here. flashlights are being shown onto that building there, obviously the caution investigation is now getting

underway. now this fire started before 1c a.m. on the 1100 block of arrott street in frank forwards, this is 3-story brick vacant apartment building. fire officials tell us the fire started on the second floor if the back, again, because it is vacant building the fire is being considered suspicious. again, there was actually another fire one week ago. and the fire marshall is actually still investigating that fire. meantime, it took crews just about two hours to get this fire under control this morning. and dozens of firefighters remain on scene this morning. now, eight people from one of the neighboring homes had to be evacuated as a precaution, told many of them staying with family, just as soon as the scene is cleared, they will be allowed to go back into their home, of course, it is a very cold morning to be out of your home. weather is just one of the difficulties fire crews are dealing with. >> it is just stubborn, access is difficult, you can see, we have some trees in front, some other issues, we have to stay

outside after established collapse zone. so we're working from outside that far perimeter, that collapse perimeter, it makes it difficult for access, and then in addition you have the cold weather, it is freezing up. >> fortunately, no serious injuries here this morning. only one fire fight her to be taken to the hospital with what we're told are very minor injuries, doing fine this morning, out here on scene, you can see, fire crews are wrapping up some equipment. they will be keeping an eye out for hot spots, again looking for a cause of this early morning fire. reporting live in frankford, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> jan, thank youment police also investigating whether an argument led to a shooting that killed a man in west oaklane overnight. it happened near finley playground on east horter street. police say a 23 year old man was shot multiple times while sitting inside a car. he was pronounced dead at the scene. so far no area he cents have been made. >> and, a murder investigate is underway in southwest philadelphia. a manager found a 67 year old

security guard tied up with facial injuries inside a van at a storage facility. the discovery happened yesterday afternoon, at lockerroom sever storage 2200 block of 62nd street. police have not released the victim's name. >> happening today, technical glitch limits how you can pay at philadelphia parking authority kiosk, the machines are having trouble excepting credit cards. so you can only pay with cash or a ppa smart card. >> you have time to get your cash for the keys okay, ten minute grace periods. >> another hepatitis-a vaccination clinic in hamilton township new jersey. >> head the first clinic last week after learning worker at rose's restaurant in mercer county contracted that virus and then may have been contaminating customer's food for weeks. today's clinic is at the township division of health building, that's on greenwood avenue. it is open only to hamilton

township residents. all right, right now, just past 5:33, let's check with carol for the forecast. >> good morning, it is machine day, the blue monday. i think it will be blue tuesday, as well. we are looking at some clouds moving n you can see it doesn't look bad at this point in center city. in fact it is fine to get out, just cold. we move over to the rehoboth beach area though. in the the winds already gusting out of the northeast, 27 miles an hour, and they'll be getting stronger than. that will we have nor'easter coming, temperature right now 39 degrees. and coastal flood watches and warnings are also in effect because we can expect some beach errosion and minor tidal, minor to moderate tidal flooding. storm scan3 shows the clouds building. we will be finding it starting at 27 degrees in philadelphia. we end up about 39 degrees this afternoon. here is what we also ends up with. low pressure system, the storm we're finding this week. you can see as it moves along, it will be blocked by high pressure system that slows

everything, and that allows some heavy rain to come in here, it will be windy. tidal flooding very likely, snow for the interior northeast. future weather, let's time this out. you can see the clouds and the rain and the rain starting during the overnight time period. it gets heavy. notice those orange colors. this computer model wants to wrap up a lot of it by tuesday night, but this storm is not over. notice what happens on wednesday morning. we get some snow showers wrapping in here, jessica loves snow, she is the only one in the studio who does, i believe. and we are looking at temperature over the next couple every days that will be around 40 degrees, so bundle up, keep your pets dry, too. mostly rain for us. >> i don't even like to hear. that will now nobody in here likes it, but someone out there does, i know it. 5:35, good morning, i have good news, you actually, roadways relatively quiet so far this morning. we go outside, start things off on the -- i don't know what this is. they zoomed in on something here on 95. i'm assuming?

on the right-hand lane, there you can see, a crash, actually we'll update you in the next few minutes where this incident has occurred. i'll advance my map here if i can get on over to new jersey, 42 at creek road. northbound lanes here, moving along nicely. so headed northbound toward the two the five interchange, starting to pack in little volume. everything moving great. travel times everything completely smooth sailing on the schuylkill expressway westbound. no problems on the blue route. and 202 southbound, from the schuylkill into route 30. everything moving along great there, only about 12 minute trip. over in frankford, still that building fire. arrott street closed between horrocks and oakland street. alternate, just take orthodox or harrison street. ukee, erika, back over to you. >> jess, thanks so. 5:36. in business news this morning, north korea respond to allegations it hacked sony pictures. >> gas prices keep shifting in reverse. we like this trend. money watch's jill wagner joins us now from the new york stock exchange with those stories and much more for us,

good morning. >> gas prices keep going down. triple a said the prices at the pump have fallen for 74 consecutive days. they now average, less than 2.07 a gallon nationwide, because global demands is down, supplies is up. thanks to increase oil production here in the u.s. triple a actually predicts prices will drop another 15 cents, by the ends of the year. we'll take it. and here on wall street, stocks opened this week, in record high territory. strong jobs report sent the s&p and the dow to their seventh straight week of gains. dow jumped 59 points friday, almost hitting the 18,000 mark. the nasdaq rose 11. well, north korea isn't claiming responsibility for that massive hack on sony pictures, but the country is praising the attack, calling it a, quote, righteous deed. comes of course as sony's about to release new film called the interview. set rogan, james franco, play

shade, bullying tonight cope. liver picture of the scene. this is where police found the body after woman in the crunk of -- trunk of the car, quality inn, route 38. police think this could be related to a missing woman in the olney section of philadelphia. as you can see, we do have a crew on that scene. we are work to go get more information for you. we will bring it to you as soon as we get it. >> also breaking right now, philadelphia firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting a fire at vacant house, happened on the 1100 block of arrott street in frankford. firefighters evacuated six people at neighboring house, but the flames have not spread. >> and estimated 200 demonstrators staged a die-in, not far from lincoln financial field, just as eagles fans were leaving. it was in protest 22 grand jury de so decisions not to indict police officers in the death of two unarmed black men. demonstrated lasted about four and a half minutes was peaceful.

meteorologist, because it is the calm before the storm. bill, broomall, has temperature of 27 degrees, a cripts, clear morning, and just past the full moon. but still, we get enough brightness out there i think that everybody can enjoy t and then, our friends tim mitch he will, mostly cloudy, wind gusts, will be getting higher than that. the clouds are already starting to move n let me show you on storm scan3 exactly what i am talking about. and we have the word, what is the word? the word is what? >> thunder bird. the words is i have no idea. >> i don't know what the words s the word is who knows what the word is. the word is nor'easter. we are looking at storm scan3, and you can see, as it moves on in here, we are going to be looking for an increasing number of clouds. and that's going to be the issue over the next day, but, late tonight, we start to see

some showers moving in. and those showers are definitely going to be impacting us, as we go through time. temperatures in the two's right now, but as we move on, we will be finding these rainfall coming in here, it comes in overnight, and you can see, by 9:00 tomorrow morning, lots of rain coming in, and then the colder air gets drawn n this is a look at 8:00 tomorrow night. some areas seeing know to the north. we may be clearing out or at least drying out in a few spots, but not for long. 2:00 a.m., more showers, they wrap around, just almost like a spoke after wheelment coming in. look at this, 9:00 wednesday morning, do we see some snow, even through the philadelphia area? it is entirely possible. so, we have to continue to monitor that. and even thursday morning, is it possible we see couple of snow showers? yes. rainfall amounts, are going to be one to 3 inches, as i mentioned, as we go through time. so, we will be watching for a lot of precipitation, coming out of this system. temperatures, 39 degrees today, 36 tonight, keep dry,

keep the pets dry, they'll have to be, and you, too, because we have this rain coming on tuesday, wednesday, rain, snow shower, thursday, maybe a lingering rain-snow shower, then drying after that. jessica? >> not looking forward to any of that at all. thank you, carol. 5:47. we go outside, show you 95, around route 322. where there is an accident, police activity, on the scene, blogging the right hands shoulder. part of those two right behind lance there, as they head northbound toward the commodore barry bridge, see most of the delay, and back up. now over on the boulevard, everything moving great mere, southbound lanes of the schuylkill expressway, moving along good, there as well. now, some problems out in new jersey, 295 north bound, past the route 42 freeway, car flipped around, turned to the wrong direction. there, also blocking out the right hand shoulder. use caution when driving through there. other problems out in jersey clementon, due to accident lance night, downed pole, crews there trying to clean the accident scene up. white horse pike completely

flames shoot through this high home. >> jan carabeo at the scene with more on how that injured fire fight is her doing. jan, good morning. over kay, ukee, good morning, yes, one foyer fight her to be taken to the hospital this morning with very minor injuries. fortunately, that person is doing okay this morning. but, dozens of firefighters remain on scene here, taking a look out for those hot spots. also, as part of the cause investigation. now, not only was that one firefighter sent the hospital, but neighboring home evacuated as they search for cause of the fire, one thing for sure, it was a bitterly cold night to be forced from your home. >> and, orange glow, and smoke, lot of it, filled the night sky in frankford. as a three-story brick, vacant apartment building burned out every control. >> just stubborn, access is difficult, you can see, we have some trees in front, some other issues. >> the fire started
