♪ >> tonight at 11:00, we're tracking a nor'easter with a lot of different elements. we have a winter storm warning in some places and flooding concerns in others. it is going to be a messy day tomorrow. good evening to you, i'm jessica dean. chris may has the night off. we're here in the weather sent with meteorologist kathy orr with the latest information on what we can expect as this storm moves into the overnight.

kathy. >> right now we're seeing some rain. we're seeing the winds gusting that about 30 miles an hour down the shore. but really the brunt of the storm will be tomorrow morning. on storm scan3 you can see we are looking at some rain moving up through south jersey and also delaware and some white on the screen in virginia and that is representing some snow. there's definitely a cold component of this storm as temperatures are just above freezing in the city but not to the north and west. that is why the national weather service has extended this winter weather advisory for our northern and western suburbs extended into the lehigh valley for an icy mix to rain. now for our northern and western suburbs chester, montgomery and bucks, even mercer county in new jersey we're tal talking about y conditions change over to rain by 7am. for that early morning commute you could be seeing icy roads please be aware of that. heavy rainier night, ice cease mix to rain at the north and west. for tuesday morning, very heavy rain with concerns of flooding as we we have a flood watch in effect and tomorrow afternoon the rain will be tapering off

cbs3. we want to let you know we will be going on the tomorrow morning at 4:00 a.m. for the latest weather and traffic updates as we track this nor'easter. >> following some breaking news tonight out of west philadelphia. reports of a rape at 47th and chestnut streets. police say a 23-year-old woman was assaulted by a male suspect who remains at large tonight. that victim was taken to the hospital and police are continuing their investigation. >> new tonight some people in new jersey may want to check their credit card statements. the owner of the bell pizza two restaurant in winslow township is accused of over charging customers for months. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones takes a closer look. >> reporter: police say the owner of the pizza shop was involved in over charging well over 30 credit cards and police believe there might be more victims. bella pizza two large pies for

13.99 deal seemed like a great deal to walt. >> no one beats that price but now we know why. >> on his credit card statement he then noticed he was over charged $7. and when he confronted the owner henry fernandez, jr., he made good refunding him the money and apologizing. >> at that time i believed him. i said, okay, it was a mistake. until it happened a second time. >> reporter: the second time, he claims there was a $20 over charge connected to his son's cup scouts pizza parlor. >> how do you do that, especia especially cub scouts. it's a non-profit organization. >> police opened up an investigation after receiving what they say were numerous complaints of credit cards being over charged at bella pizza ii. investigators started buying pizza from the sicklerville pizza shop using prepaid credit cards. >> what we found out was every time that we made a transaction, they also charged our card an additional $10. >> reporter: the 21-year-old owner is now facing several counts of credit card fraud and forgery. his attorney released a statement in part saying "my

client has been cooperative with winslow township police department as you are aware my client retains the resumption of and in once we have the opportunity to seat evidence we'll be in better position to comment on the merits of the case". >> investigators say the alleged fraud at the pizza shop goes back at least four months. if not longer. and they're asking customers to check their receipts. reporting in winslow township, todd quinn nope cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> a private jet crashes into a house just outside washington, d.c. ton night we're learning one of the victims has ties to our ar area. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live in the sat center now with more on this. david. >> reporter: jessica tonight we can confirm that 36-year-old marie good mel the mother had held her children as the plane crashed into their home is originally from brick township, new jersey. marie's son 384 old cole and one month old devon also died. police on the scene say they found marie on top of her

children trying to protect them from the smoke. the jet crashed before 11:00 o'clock this morning in gaithersburg, maryland. three others on the corporate jet from north carolina also died. the plane was scheduled to land near the home at the montgomery county airpark. neighbors quickly rushed to the scene to help after the crash. >> you can tell it was engulf especially that one section and then we got out and then, um, lady was screaming there was people inside. so we tried to get near the house. there was no way. there was like a wall of heat. >> reporter: marie's daughter and husband were not home at the time of the crash. the ntsb recovered the flight recorders and investigators still working right now around the clock to figure out exactly why this plane crashed. we're live in the sat center tonight, david spunt cbs3 oy witness news. >> david, thank you. a local high school guidance counselor is at the center of a controversy tonight after an alleged post to facebook. this all started yesterday afternoon when protesters

gathered outside lincoln financial field before the eagles game. around the same time a post was made on mary kate blank ken burg's page saying "if my child cannot get to the eagles game due to protesters i will personally shoot of one of them. you've been warped idiots!! >> she said something like that is really surprising. she's done so much for this school, and she helps me so much. she helps everyone with colleges and college essays and stuff. the school district superintendent did release a statement saying "we immediately began an investigation including verification of the source of the post and we will take appropriate action once we learn all of the facts". >> chopper three over the mainline tonight as college students from bryn mawr, haverford, swarthmore and others walk to a die in demonstration expressing shared frustrations over january jury additions in ferguson and new york. that laid on the ground silent for 4.5 minutes representing the 4.5 hours michael brown's body

was on the ground. students toll us why they felt compelled to get involved. >> the fact that so many instances like this have happened one after the other people are starting to recognize it's something happening on a regular basis and that enough is enough and something just has to be done. >> we learn about all these things in classes. it's a theory based process and we talk about it as if it's something in the past but we've seen it's stl happening. it's a very present thing. i think plick in the real world is so important. >> the event culminated with withville it? at bryn mawr college. hundreds of bucks county muslims join in a lawsuit claiming officials in bensalem won't allow them to build a mosque. 200 families currently worship in this for house. they've tried for years to build at this site bought zoning petitions keep being denied. the mosque would be funded by private donations. all they're asking for is permission to build.

♪ >> we continue to track the nor'easter heading into our area overnight that will bring rain and snow to the area. meteorologist kathy orr has information just in and her forecast is coming up just about three minutes. the philadelphia parking authority says payment problem at their kiosks have been resolved adding if you can prove your ticket stemmed from the issue, it will be canceled. the kiosks started having problems processing credit card payments on friday and tickets were issued. the ppa did not issue tickets sunday while the problem was corrected. the parking authority wants to make it clear personal customer information was not compromised. this was a transmission issue. >> early gift for drivers at the pump gas prices have now fallen for 74 consecutive days. the aaa says the national average now $2.67 a gallon it

could get even better. price cos drop by another 15 cents by the end of the year. according to aaa pennsylvanians are paying 288 on average for a gallon of regular. if you cross the bridge into new jersey, you'll pay closer to 2.57. delaware drivers can top off their tanks for about 2.73. >> another celebration for one of the delaware valley's favorite baseball stars. today at lincoln financial field mow thai davis was presented with the award for sports kid of the year from kids illustrated. more than one had dread of her classmates were also invited that tend. but despite all of the attention she's got she remains humble. >> if i did something good why change to do something to impress more people. stay myself. lot of people just want you to be you. >> it's just really been an inspiring time and it was -- it was a pretty easy pick. we had great candidates but it was a pretty easy choice. >> also there to join the festivities wnba scaler digging.

warming temperatures as we head down the shore we have some rain and we also have temperatures that are in the 40s. dry for now in ocean view greg says but winds are already at 20 miles an hour. he's at 43 degrees to the north and west of philadelphia it is 32 degrees right now and gary is saying in avondale winds right now at 17 miles an hour. the pressure is falling and they're gone to the east southeast they'll become toward the east northeast very soon with our nor'easter. to the north we go it is 33 degrees and matthew says in conshohocken it is cold. the pressure is falling and the storm is coming. if you would like tock an "eyewitness weather" watcher, you can be featured in one of our newscasts. just sign up right now it's going to be busy winter. go to cbsphilly.com/watchers. >> in center city philadelphia, it is dry but it's pretty cloudy and still on the cold side with temperature in the 30s. we have some rain and wind to the south. case in point, the boardwalk in rehoboth beach, delaware. live neighbor network shows us a

vet boardwalk. the temperature 45. winds out of the east northeast sustain at 32 miles an hour. along the delaware beaches, in the jersey shore, we're expecting gusts to 45 even 50 miles an hour at the height of the storm during the day tomorrow. on storm scan3 we are looking at the rape building as our storm develops off the coast of the mid atlantic. you can see a cold portion of this. it's disconnected from the storm self. but moisture moving northward and fallin falling in the form . that's to our west and here come the rain ahead of our nor'east nor'easter. right now we're looking at conditions that will continue to be on the wet side and on storm scan three if we take a zoom in, you'll be able to see some of the heavy rain it's moving in through delaware, it's already into south jersey and moving toward the philadelphia area. through south jersey where you see the yellows and the oranges through mullica hill and even along the jersey shore heading right through vineland and down through cumberland county those reds and yellows and oranges have rain rates about half an

inch to even an inch an hour and this is going to continue to move and overspread even moving inland over the next i would say at least two to three hours. right now mild enough for rain. we can see in wilmington at 32. reading at 28. allentown at 30 degrees to the north and west of the city starting off as a lull bit of an icy mix before changing over to rain tomorrow morning. some northeasterly winds already sustained in philadelphia at 14. the sign of the nor'easter approaching. millville at 15 and down the shore sustained at 17 to 20 miles an hour with stronger gusts. as the storm continues to move northward by 7am it's pretty close. you can see all of that rain wrapping in and ahead of the low we have a northeasterly wind as the storm bulls away you get into a northwesterly wind and that pulls in the cold air. the storm pulls away tuesday afternoon. slowly moving array way wednesday. still a chance of a wet snowflake or two on wednesday and then wednesday neat far enough to away to lose its grip over our he john much this is what we expect. lehigh valley winter weather

advisory until 10am for icy mix to rain. even our northern and western suburbs starting off icy come tomorrow morning. advisory until 7am. so please be aware of that. philly, south jersey that flood watch will continue gusts to 35 miles per hour down the shore gusts to at least 45 miles an hour with a coastal flood warning in effect. here's a look at the winds progress stiffly getting stronger from the lehigh valley through philadelphia. 30 to 40 miles an hour gusts. 40 to 50 down the shore. that will definitely take a beating. we do have high tide home down the shore between about 9:00 and 9:00 that's right. and that means that is when we will be expecting the flooding. so please be aware of that. overnight temperatures will rise. the rain moves in. and the winds will be gusting tomorrow the height of the storm especially in the morning on the exclusive "eyewitness weather" seven day forecast, the storm pulls away but it is so slow that even on wednesday it will be impacting this region. with rain, even a little bit of wet snow. to the north and west could have a light coating. thursday drying out. friday, saturday, sunday next

♪ >> some eagles fans got rare chance to hang out with a few of the players today. the team hosted an event as part of their community monday initiative. they inn have id local kids who lost a parent or sub link to the center for grieving children at the novacare complex. quarterback mark sanchez was among those who attended. and together they made ornaments and other arts and crafts this sent is the citi' only resource of its kind for supporting grieving children. looks like they had fun.
