"eyewitness news" reporter jane carabao joins us now from engine 64 in lawncrest where black bunting symbolizes a community in mourning, jan? >> reporter: ukee, it has been a quiet overnight here at engine 64 in lawncrest. this is the station where that 11 year veteran of the philadelphia fire department, joyce craig-lewis called home

away from home. you can see that the candles are still burning brightly outside of this home away from home, this morning, her loved ones and her fire fighter family and this entire community deals with her death and many came here last night to remember her life. this was a vigil held in her honor where collogues spoke of the the fire fighter's dedication and complete strangers prayed for her family. craig lewis died tuesday morning at a row house fire in west oak lane, fire officials say she was one of the first on the scene trying to control the fire in the basement. "eyewitness news" has learned that at some point the commander on the scene told fire fighters to leave but craig lewis rather never made it out, now her family and friend recall how much that she loved her job, loved saving people, and died doing just that. >> i work with joyce the last three years and she loved doing the job. she continually always was outstanding in doing everything that she could to make sure that somebody was saved or property was saved,

and we miss her. >> reporter: indeed, the station misses her. you can see that black bunting here at the fire station in lawncrest and again, those candles in memory of craig-lewis still burning. she leaves behind two children, a 16 year-old son and a 16 month-old daughter and she's the first female fire fighter here in philadelphia a to die in the line of duty, a full investigation is now underway to exactly how that all happen. we're reporting live, i'm jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". it is day 14 and still no sign of missing college student shane montgomery. now the reward to find him has increased to $65,000. no one was seen the west chester university student since he left kildares irish pub early thanksgiving morning. the the additional reward money came from private donors. coming up on 5:33, lets get traffic and weather together on the three's, good morning. >> today will be a little bit of the transition day for us and a lot of times we get one

transition day and then we move on. it looks like we will be stuck with transitioning weather for the next 48 hours before we can expect to see our storm system completely clear out but man, sit a different view for you here. not just in atlantic city but every where else. it is so much quieter by the exact same time yesterday but it is feeling on the chilly side. we do still have some impact that you will notice not just in atlantic city but basically every where else. what i don't see on storm scan necessarily is that wind. you can see movement in the precipitation and clouds and you can see that in the next few hours as we have have a few ren gate showers here and there but remains are extended until 4:00 a.m. tomorrow up through carbon and monroe county, that is one spot where we will have enough active weather that it warrants an advisory. you will find a few snow showers having the chance to actually stick and accumulate which is great news for ski resorts but if you are traveling toward i80 interchange as within of the hot spots where you might find some slick travel in the days

female fire fighter killed in the line of service. joyce craig-lewis was killed battling a fire in west oak lane. police in bensalem bucks county hope you can help them find a pair of armed robbery suspects. investigators say that the thieves were caught on tape before they got away with thousands of dollars in gold and silver. we're dealing with the aftermath of yesterday's nor'easter. this is long beach island. flooding conditions turned roads into rivers and there is a chance of more rain today. developing right the now, another night of protest in california, and this is in the wake of the grand jury decision toss clear police officer in the death of two unarmed black men. as don champion reports protesters once again blocked traffic and train services into the bay area. >> reporter: for a fourth night in the row people marched through the streets of berkley california, protesting the deaths of eric garner and michael brown. from the air you can see the crowd of hundreds marching, at

he has a clear sky. from north to south it is clearing out and it is warmer as we head far enough south but that said not everybody is completely in the clear just yet and we will go to storm scan three to explain why next. here's your storm system. the the brunt of it is becoming more of an atlantic, canada issue, newfoundland, nova scotia and with the large rotation around the back side of it, areas of low pressure counterclockwise rotation in the northern hemisphere we are still finding that banding coming in on the back side of the storm. so even though we have had things ease up in the last few hours, we are going to see more of it. lets look at future wind gusts too, this is also the other x factor of the forecast that you will notice to day, win gusts could be peeking as high as 35, 36, 37 miles an hour, wildwood model picks up on a 37-mile an hour gusts, later on this afternoon jumping into thursday, even though it the lightens up a little bit, and gusts till in the 20's, enough to send your trash can, lid,

the male student was stabbed in the back. that student was rushed to the hospital, in stable condition, and right now, police are questioning two people. so far no charges. we will bring you new updates as soon as we get them. carolina panthers quarterback c a.m. newton is expected to get out of the hospital today after a nasty car accident. that is newton laying on the ground after his truck collided with a car near the team's stadium. the witness essay they saw newton's truck roll over four times. cam suffered two fractureness his back. according to report it is too early to tell if he will be able to play anytime soon. >> wish him well. police officers used sheer force to rescue a pair of men, trapped underneath a car. this happened in wisconsin. police looking for a jack when they got to the scene but they could not find one so they lifted that car themselves. both men survived but one was badly burned by the engine. investigators say they are not
