points last week. and it is all about oil. energy companies like exxon mobile and chevron have really take answer big hit because the price of crude oil has fall tone five year lows, and it is because there is lower global demand, plenty of supply, specially from here in the united state. now all of this could be bad for energy companies, but it is very good news for consumers, for drivers, gas prices, nationwide, are now averaging 2.55. and triple a says we can expect the average to fall to 2.50 by christmas. >> how about that? jill, speaking of christmas, there is a new list out what people do not want this year. >> yes, if you haven't bought your holiday gift yet, gift the liquor storm. consumer reports finds hard liquor thomas the list of the gift americans least want to receive this holiday season. so, whiskey, rum, involved, a all on that do not want list.

4:55 am
help sends that storm further off to the north. so, while we are expecting to see some showers around, primarily for the second half of tomorrow, that is really all we will find. and actually expecting strictly rain showers this time. but, as we begin hanukkah here at sunset, there again, will likely be a little bit of wet weather to track on radar at that point for our area. looking forward over the course of the next seven days, pretty mild air for the standards, as we flirt with or actually hit 50 degrees, both tuesday and wednesday. wednesday is actually when our cold front crosses through, but will obviously come through with very little fanfare, expecting sunshine here, but does knock the textures back, stuck in the 40's, probably don't hit 40 by saturday then, also by the way going to potentially mark the arrival of our next system, so, it is appearing at this point as though something is brewing for the weekend, just the timing, that is a little bit up in the air right now. so of course things will resolve. we'll let you know. >> kate, thank you. here is a check of stories our sister station "kyw news radio" 1060 will be following for you today.
