. >> we begin with breaking news, police prepare to resume their manhunt for this man, bradley stone, shooting spree that left six people dead. >> there were reports late last night of possible siting in doylestown bucks county. police say a man was walking his dog when a man dressed in camouflage, who looks like brad stone, pulled a knife demanding his car keys. the victim had a gun, shot several times, but missed the man as he ran into the woods. a shelter in place order has been lifted for that area. >> today's tuesday, december 16th, good morning, everyone, i'm ukee washington. >> i'm erika von tiehl. schools in the upper perkioman school district are closed this morning as authorities continue their manhunt. >> stone is accused of murdering his ex-wife, five of her family members, all across montgomery county. jan carabeo joins just lower

salford township with the very latest thon story and the search. jan? >> reporter: ukee, erika, you mentioned it, in a over abundance of caution, upper perkioman schools are closed today as this manhunt continues. it is just the latest step in a officials are doing in hopes of pro tech ago community as this manhunt continues, this killer going on rampage, throughout several communities, in montgomery county on monday morning. >> officials say the killer is this man, 35 year old bradley stone of pennsburg. this is the most recent picture of him, released by officials late last night. authority say, stone shot and killed six people, and seriously injured a seventh person, all people with family ties, including his ex-wife. the first shooting happened around 3:30 monday morning here in souderton. the montgomery county district attorney says stone killed his former sister-in-law, her husband, their 14 year old daughter and seriously injured the couple's 17 year old son, then the d.a. says stone went to this home in lansdale, shot

his former mother-in-law and grandmother in law. he showed up here at lower salford at the apartment of his ex-wife, 33 year old nicole stone, killed her, and took the couple's two daughters, neighbor recalls the frightening scene to our steve patterson. >> i heard four gunshots and i heard the kids screaming, no, mommy, i want my mom. i owned my window asked him if everything was okay, he looked at me and just said she's hurt, she's hurt pretty bad. we got to go. >> at approximately 5:00 in the morning shortly thereafter mr. stone delivered his two daughters to a neighbor in pennsburg. >> now, authorities say stone and his ex-wife were going through a built err custody battle. we'll have more on stone's military backgrounds, coming up in our next half hour. meantime, authorities say, you should consider stone armed and dangerous, he may be using a walker or a cane to help him get around. and he may bewaring fatigues and a sand or a green color.

if you see him, you are urged to call 911. reporting live in lower salford, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> and there is new information this morning on shooting in delaware county. published reports say ex-police officer is the suspect in a shoot that left a woman dead and a teenage girl wounded. chopper three over glenfield avenue in glenn old end where it happened last night. the former officer was reportedly shot by someone else in the house. there is no word on a motive. >> 4:33, we want to head over to katie and get traffic and weather together. >> good morning, storm scan3, still making its sweep around the tri-state area here, not finding much of anything to report at this hour. so, things are pretty quiet for us on the weather side. we are eventually going to start to see some wet weather firing up here. so, the morning drive looks pretty tranquil, all things considered, but you can see those clouds have returned, and it is a sign of things to come. warmfront on the move,

moisture with it across western pennsylvania, so generally around the lunch hour we'll find wet weather moving in. so pretty much the early afternoon, you will start to maybe need the umbrella it appears as though mainly rain showers, likely steadier pocket of rain embedded within that. again, some steady rain does come along here as we head toward the evening rush. so, morning drive looks fine. evening drive, probably going to be little damp out there. meanwhile, currently in at 33 degrees at the airport, 37 wilmington, right at the freezing mark in mount pocono. again, off to dry start. around the region we go. this is a warmfront, so, it is going to live up to it name. temperatures have chance to climb nicely here in the low 50's, but will be wet weather moving in, again, from west to east, so, generally, as you head toward the shore points, pretty much toward the late afternoon, start to seat first raindrops. in philly as i mentioned probably more closer toward the lunch hour that some of the first drops begin to fall. and some steady rain will be embedded so the umbrella not worse idea on day lick this. jess, good morning. >> hey, good morning, katie. 4:34, we don't have much in the way of volume so far this

morning, still relatively early. do have few overnight work patches that we can show you here in our cameras. this is on the schuylkill expressway at 30th street. you can see, crew on the scene here. blocking out part of the right-hand lane and right hand shoulder, on the westbound lanes, no one really even trying to get by. but, if so, we will be squeezing on by to the left-hand side. now, same story out on 202 at 401. actually just cleared out of the way. we did have some overnight work here, seems like they just moved out of this camera view here. but, the southbound lanes anyway are still moving great. no problems on the northbound side as well. out in montgomery county, downed tree closing morris road at lewis lane, alternate to get around that for the time social security to take skippack pike. otherwise, construction out on northeast extension northbound just near lansdale. watch out for that. the blue route northbound from 95 into the schuylkill expressway, that's about 18 minute trip, seven minutes on 422, if you are headed eastbound from oaks into 202, still clear. no problems for septa, new jersey transit or dart.

no delays at the philadelphia international airport, ukee, back over to you. >> a memorial continues to grow at the site of deadly hostage stand-off in sydney, australia prime minister tony abbott laid flowers where the crisis ended after more 16 hours yesterday. police identified the gunman as munez, iranian letter hike they say acted alone. he and two hostages were killed when police stormed the cafe, but australian officials did not say if the hostages died in the crossfire or at the hands of their captor. >> this has been an absolutely appauling and ugly incident. it was a senseless act of violence, a crime designed to divide our country but it has failed. >> prime minister abbott is meeting with his national security committee. he said lessons will be learned from the tragedy to prevent it from happening again. >> a year-long grand jury investigation finds the former superintendent and athletic director of the coatesville

school district stole monday that i was supposed to help children. former coat ville school superintendent, richard cuomo, and former athletic director tom could theto surrender to police. last year they left the district after racist and sexist messages were found on their cell phones. the d.a. says they stole from the poorest school district in chester county for years. >> you had a superintendent and an athletic director, who were running the school district like it was their own personal kingdom. mocking, and you had a school board that was asleep at the switch. >> both suspect are now free on bail. their attorneys declined comment. >> a stunning announcement from former sports calls or don tollefson on what should have been his sentencing day. after pleading guilty in september to cheating charities out of more than $340,000, he asked a judge in bucks county to withdraw his guilty plea. he wants to represent himself.

tollefson says he has new information that could proof his innocence. >> withdrawing my plea, and going to trial was the most appropriate and honest thing do. >> i found out some things that i think are very jermaine to this case that did i not know about, did not know about, when i originally pled guilty. >> tollefson's defense attorney said he did not think it was a wise decision. prosecutors say they'll be red when his trial start january january 5th. >> well, it is the last of the red light camera tickets in new jersey, that's happening today, the pilot program ends at midnight tonight. over five years, 24 municipalities took part in the program. they issued thousands of citations and collected millions in fines. some police say the cameras have led to safer roads, opponents say they announce to -- they amount to theft. >> much more to come this morning on "eyewitness news", bill cosby's wife comes out and in defense of her husband. >> and don't stick a fork just

this just into us, breaking right now, dozens of student were killed when the taliban attacks a school in pakistan. now, this story is still developing, but the late he information shows at least 84 people were killed. many of them student when gunmen stormed the army-run school. now, those gunmen still holding many other student and teachers hostage right now. we'll stay on top of this for you, bring any new information as soon as it comes into our news room. erika? >> camille cosby is breaking her silence defending her husband a mid growing accusations of sexual assault. she and bill cosby have been married for more than 50 years, and have four daughters. their son, enis, murdered in 1997. camille cosby released a statement reading in part, quote, the the man i met and fell in love with and whom i continue to love is the man you all know through his work.

what provides the best chance for us to see wet weather. so, you can see the moisture along with that already beginning to cross into pennsylvania, and that will generally start to make its arrival probably toward the lunch hour, for many of us, but will move in from west to east here. the storm itself definitely taking on a very nice well defined shape here. what it doesn't really produce all that much for us, the brunt of the storm, at least the core of the storm, center, is actually going to pass us by off to the north, that means, you know, two front get dragged through here, the warm followed by the cold front, today and then tomorrow respectfully, and we just end one some rain showers out of it. it is mainly into the afternoon, evening, and then tomorrow, with that cold front crossing through, actually still going to have a chance to warm up low 50's ahead of it, but swift frontal passage, by the time it clears out of here, we'll eventually start to see the colder air taking back it grip. but we get two straight days of pretty mile air. even by tomorrow, because that cold front's relatively weak, at least with moisture content it, doesn't come through with anything. so probably just ends up with

resume this morning for bradley william stone. police say that he killed his ex-wife and five of her relatives in three montgomery county communities. the search is also forced cancellation of classes today, in the upper perkioman school district. delaware county officials say a former police officer is a suspect in a shooting in glenolden. published reports quote investigators, who say the officer killed a woman, and wounded a teenage girl before someone else in the house wounded him. there is no word on a motive. >> particular frets red light cameras are becoming history in new jersey. the pilot program ends at midnight after court battles, operational problems, and millions of dollars in revenue for 24 communities. >> your time 4:49. let's get check on business news. >> jill wagner joins us from the stock exchange, jill, the sell off continues on wall street. what do you think is behind this? >> reporter: yes, good morning, ukee, erika, it is really all about oil. the price of crude keeps dropping, and there is no ends in site, it is now trading at around $55, which is the

and i think just so much of it was perception, that we hadn't seen that sun in such a long time. but, here we go again, more clouds, building in, some of them actually low to the ground right now, we take a look outside at our live neighborhood network, palmyra cove nature park. normally you can see the center city skyline off in the dis tan, can't really make it out. that's telling us that we do have some low-lying cloud cover. it is knocking back our visibility, and couple of spots here like millville, down to below mile. so, it is not terrible, but it is definitely less than ideal when it comes to some of the visibility with building moisture in our atmosphere. we are going to see rain showers picking up as early as this afternoon. in time for hanukkah to kick off at sunset, also wet weather out there, if not just some clouds, meanwhile, though, temperatures actually kind of mild for the standards the next two days. tomorrow, cold front will technically cross through, we keep the mild air, and then that cold air will catch up, looking ahead to thursday, despite the return of bright sunshine. guys, we send it back to you. >> kate, thank you. here is a check of stories our sister station "kyw news
