>> i'm jessica dean. >> the driver of the suv was a teenager himself and tonight some are voicing their concern over the safety of that intersection where this happened. 16-year-old mow net was crossing at bridge water road and bensalem boulevard in bensalem when she was hit. our natasha brown was there as people prayed and pleaded for more to be done. >> i know she's looking down on us right now. >> reporter: candles highlight the faces of grief stricken teenagers mourning the loss of a friend. >> it's impossible for me to think that i'm not going to see her ever again. s it's not fair. >> me being this young i'm only 14 i would have friends and i would like be losing some. like it's hard to cope with. >> a somber group of students from bensalem high school gathering in the shadows of the intersection where senior old sophomore mow net lost her life. police say she was en route to her waiting schoolbus at 6:40 a.m. before sunrise at the intersection of bensalem boulevard and bridge water road.

that's when investigators say the driver of this suv allegedly disregarded the stopped bus. >> a bronco suv vehicle was traveling westbound on bensalem boulevard. disregarded the schoolbus activation lights and the stop sign and proceeded through the intersection striking and dragging the child for some distance. >> she's gone. >> reporter: inconsolable friend and fellow classmate says the 16 year old vick tip stopped her by ge -- from getting hit ba car. >> she grabbed me a couple of week ago. i wasn't there for her today. >> calls for action from a community set up with speeding drivers and an intersection unguarded by crossing guards. >> in the morning if you come 7:00 o'clock it's jam packed and everybody is rushing to get out of here. >> investigators say the 18-year-old driver of the stri striking car also a bensalem area high school student did stop and is cooperating. classmates of the victim still reeling from the loss. >> the candles are still burning and the flowers are still

has never happened where a major studio has said we're not going to show a movie out of concern for the safety of the movie goers. >> we should be aware but not afraid. if we're afraid they've won. >> jim jong-un has denied any involvement in that cyber attack. >> the family avenue brigantine, new jersey woman who fell down an elevator shaft at fenway park is now suing the parent company of the red socks along with the elevator company. ton night we have exclusive new study yo from that investigati investigation. video shot by investigators shows the door of the fourth floor elevator at fenway park where it happened. in a new lawsuit the family of 22-year-old lizzie scotland claims the door swung open when she brushed against it causing her to fall two stories down an elevator shaft. according to the suit scotland was hospitalized for six weeks. suffering traumatic brain injuries. spinal injuries and facial fractures. an audio interview from this summer between the department of safety and an elevator operator

revealed nothing seemed out of order that day. >> had you been to the fourth floor during your shift? >> yes. >> and the doors oped normally? >> everything was working fine. >> the suit alleges scotland had casual contact with the door. but one witness told a different story. >> could see the elevator door was pushed in. you know what i mean? not opened out. not sideways but pushed in and what we saw before that were like people pushed up against it almost like goofing around playing. >> according to our sister station wbz in boston the official state report says scotland jumped up and hugged her father from behind and when she jumped off him, hit the elevator door with enough force to make it open. according to the suit scott lander's medical bills now exceed a quarter avenue million dollars, and while she's back home in brigantine, she requires continuous care and treatment. wbz also reports state inspectors concluded while that door was okay that day, it did have a long history of problems.

we reached out to scotland's family tonight but we did not hear back from them. we did hear from the red sox in a statement they said "we cooperated fully with the department's investigation of this tragic accident. but will not be commenting on it we've taken all necessary steps to ensure that the elevators in fenway park are safe ". our thoughts remain with miss scotland and her family and we hope for her continued progress with her recover he. >> tonight there's joy in havana and outrage in miami. president obama's move to restore diplomatic relations with cuba is drawing criticism and phrase in the kuhn ban-american community. it is a historic move no doubt. the deal negotiated in secret with the help of pope francis. the decision was capped by a conversation between president obama and the cuban president raul castro is. and the release of an american contractor alan gross today. gross had been imprisoned in cuba for the last five your. the president says that he wants to open an embassy in havana

he's accused of writing prescriptions for cash. investigators say they built their case through undercover buys of painkillers and narcotics over the past three months. wean is also charged with insurance fraud. he's now being held on five hadn't dread thousand dollars bail. >> now to new information in the investigation into the cause of death of bradley stone. the man behind a killing spree in montgomery county. authorities believe stone took his own life in a wooded area near his home in pennsburg yesterday. prosecutors say stone had a deep stab wound in his leg but that did not kill him. toxicology tests are now pending. a machete an ax like object covered in blood were found near his body along with medicine bottles and an energy drink. some who knew him didn't know about his troubled past. >> i don't ever remember anybody having a problem with him at a all. >> when i saw him in 2011 he was drinking. he had a different prescriptions for anti-depressants.

we're getting a our first look at the launch pad charred remains and lingering damage there. they continue to remove damaged equipment to get that pad up and running for testing sometime next year. turbulence leads to an emergency landing in tock yo. cell phone video captured the chaos. american airlines flight 280 from sole south carolina to dallas fort warmth when it ran into turbulence so severe anything that wasn't nailed down went flying into the air. of the 255 people on board, 14 of them were injured and five passengers had to be hospitalized. >> prices at the pump are giving drivers something to celebrate this holiday season. newest mates find that us drivers could save as much as five hadn't dread $50 in the next year. that's according to the federal government. the average price for a gasoline nationwide is down 2.51 a gallon. gas and oil prices have both dropped steadily over the next sick months thanks to lower demand in europe and asia. the last time the prices at the pump were this low was back in

20s as well. when you add the winds during the overnight and early morning hours, to the cold this is what it will be feeling like. tomorrow morning at 7am. feel like 11 in the poconos. 23 in philadelphia. 22 in millville. 22 in wilmington and only 21 degrees in lancaster. so a morning chill that's going to stay pretty chilly during the day as well. high temperatures into the lower 40s with a wind it will feel like it's in the 30s but at least we have the sun. more sun, less wind will be the deal on friday as high pressure really builds into the region. and then a few more clouds move in on saturday. we're watching a developing storm out through our nation's heartland this will be moving eastward it will stay to the south of the delaware valley and that means a dry weekend. that's the good news. christmas eve watching another storm this one appears to move up from the tennessee valley and the great lakes. we stay east of the storm that is the warm side. so any snow that falls will be confined to central and western pennsylvania. and up through new york this is

>> as eagles prepare for washington on saturday they will be without outside linebacker trent cole. cole had surgery to repair broken bone in his left hand. reportedly had a plate inserted in his hand. that was injured in sunday' loss against dallas. braydon graham will be taking his place and chip kelly seems okay with an expanded role for graham. >> brandon can set an edge. he can rush quarterback he's doing better job in pass coverage and we've been really happy with him. he's really dedicated himself. has really played better from a special teams standpoint and every phase we've had an opportunity to get him on the field he's done a really good job. >> nick foles back at practice
