we're starting a off with breaking news right now another shooting involving a police officer in st. louis county, miss yuri. group of 60 people gathered at the scene. investigators say a police officers with the city of berkley was on a routine business check at a gas station overnight when he saw two men a approach them. police say one of those men pulled a hand gun and pointed it at the officer. then the officer we're told fired several shots, striking and fatally wound ago this suspect. second man fled, and we will bring you up to dayton this breaking story a a as we get more information as the morning goes on. it is west december 24th, i'm quarter von tiehl. i'm nicole brewer in for ukee washington. developing right now two police cruisers collide in the north philadelphia intersection sending three officers to the hospital. also police are looking for a driver who hit a woman

definitely an issue today. lots of tea tails to cover. we will do that in the next few minutes. erika, back to you. developing right the now three philadelphia police officers are the on the mend after they were involve in the crash late last night. it happened around 11:30 at between the second and montgomery in north philadelphia authorities say those officers were responding to a report of the shooting when those two cruisers collided. one officer suffered a concussion but all three are expected to be recovering. also this morning a hit and run day before christmas eve meet woman death in the northeast. >> search is on for that driver. "eyewitness news" reporter jane carabao is live at accident investigation division with the description of the car, j a an police are on the look out for a black tow truck that they believe hit a woman in holmesberg last night and killed her. to make matters worse eyewitnesses tell thaws this driver didn't even slow down. take a look at this, this is a photo of evidence taken at the scene, police say they are looking for a black tow truck

with one of its headlights missing. police say this deadly hit and run happened around 5:15 on the 8100 block of state road in holmesberg. this three three-year old woman hit and killed was crossing the street but she was not in the crosswalk when she was hit. eyewitnesses on the scene say truck hit this woman, kept going and didn't flash the brakes. they sprung into action in an attempt to save the victim's life. >> by the the time i realizedded there was a personally stopped my car to see if i could help her. >> you knew he hit someone. whoever the driver was knew that they hit her and she could, you heard the impact. >> reporter: now this three three-year old woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. police have have not identified her this morning. in the meantime investigators are working with surveillance video in hopes that it the helps identify the driver and its black tow truck, anyone with any information should call police, the the driver

>> good morning. traveling out and about on the roads is more difficult today because it is very slick and weather like this that causes the most problems. so traveling right now for us on i-95 it is very wet, damp. headlights picking up that sheen on the road there. this is i-95 around philadelphia international airport, which has its own problems. if you are traveling in philadelphia international doing holiday traveling you will notice that they have delays. they are not mentioning anything, specific, as of yet but you will have some problems so good idea to call ahead. on the roads it is wide opened. we are in the dealing with any delays at this time. there is in rush hour at 4:30 in the morning but traveling on the ben franklin bridge, all bridges do get slick in weather like this. take it easy, it is like two guys are moving long here. rest of the majors are moving quite well and not only in pennsylvania but in new jersey, delaware, speed sensors high up in the 50's. fifty the on the schuylkill, 53 on the blue route. we have a down pole situation

as a result from an earlier accident not too far from king of prussia at paw links road at ferry lane and no delays for mass transit, erika. new this morning a man is pistol whipped and shot during a robbery in fernrock. the 44 year-old victim was held up in the court yard in the regency apartments at olney and ogontz just after 1:00a m. they took hundred dollars and shot him once in the ab. we are told that victim is in stable condition. police are reviewing surveillance camera in hopes of getting a better look at those suspects. former president george hw bushies waking up this morning in the houston hospital. last night he was short of breath. doctors are holding him for observation. mr. bush turned 90 this year. he uses a wheelchair because of the form of parkinson's disease. two years ago he spent two months in the hospital for treatment for a bronchitis related cough and other health related issues. developing right now two mississippi counties are under

three philadelphia police officers are recovering from injuries after a serious crash in north philadelphia this happened at between the second and montgomery at 11:30 as two police cars collided when responding to a call. the officer's injuries are not life threatening. one officer suffer a concussion. police are searching for driver in the deadly hit/run about 5:00 o'clock yesterday on state road and holmesberg. a three three-year old woman was killed and police say they are looking for a black tow truck with the damaged headlight. police are looking for three suspects in the armed robbery and shooting of the 44 year-old man near olney and ogontz avenue in fernrock. victim is in stable condition. robbers got away with a hundred dollars. 4:48. time for a check of business news. >> money watch's jill wagner joins us from the new york

4:53. time for traffic and weather together on your christmas eve. good morning. merry christmas eve. >> stop being cute, erika, thank you. you know, everybody, traffic is in the so much a gift right new on the vine street expressway. i always get concerned with weather like this. i know katie does too. it causes a mess for traffic and very serious situations and that is exactly what we're dealing with on the vine street expressway. this would be westbound vine street expressway approaching eastbound schuylkill, so you know that merge thaw run into just beyond parkway to travel on the schuylkill expressway, right here, thinks an overturn tractor trailer situation traffic getting by ever so slightly using the right shoulder but you will notice with the severity of the incident we could see closure of that ramp to get on the eastbound side of 76. we of course will be continuing to keep you updated on that but in the meantime if you can try to avoid this area that would be your best bet would i say. the as we continue lets take
