wer. it is 7:00 o'clock here. let get a check of the forecast with carol maybe a little rain. >> yeah, couple showers scattered around but these temperatures are mild and that should be where focus goes, this morning. we had a gorgeous saturday today, in the quite so much but still fairly comfortable temperature wise because we will get in the 50's. ben franklin bridge area you can see a few clouds, otherwise we are looking at a sun starting to wake up a little bit, we like that look as we move on over to our neighborhood weathernet work and you can see we have a temperature of 46 degrees down in cape may courthouse and more of the yellow on the horizon which means the sunnies waking up and not going to have an ease i time with these clouds today though. it may remain hidden for most of the the day with chance of showers and speaking of which storm scan three you can see showers moving over and some of them once they have gone to the east of allentown they will start to get heavier. but they are fairly quiet around philadelphia area, and they are not heavy, not everybody is seeing them but

we do have them scattered around. i think what we will be basically finding is a lot of these showers moving on out, at least through mid part of the day and then later this afternoon they do start to come back in the picture. so temperatures, we will expect by noon time just about 50 degrees and then we will not add too much by 3:00 p.m. just a couple degrees higher and then the lull you'll fine this afternoon will be welcomed at 1:00 in the afternoon and then more precipitation in the southern half of the area and that is heading into this evening. i will finish out that time line and talk about the the much colder temperatures on the horizon for us, nicole. >> breaking news right now an air asia air bus has gone missing from indonesia to singapore, airline officials report that the flight disappeared off radar shortly after the pilot requested to change the flight plan because of weather. syma chowdhry a has details live from the cbs-3 the sat center syma good morning. >> good morning, nicole. we know plane lost

communication about 40 minutes in the flight. this happened last night when pilot requested a change of course due to weather. there were reportedly heavy thunderstorms over the java sea. officials say there was no distress signal from the cockpit. both indonesia and singapore have launched a search and rescue operation, flight 8501 was heading to singapore with more than 160 people on board, the plane had two pilots, five cab and crew and 155 passengers including 16 children and one infant. most of the passengers are indonesia. loved ones began gathering at an era port in indonesia waiting to get an update. air asia is a malaysia based airline. new back in march malaysia airlines flight 370 went missing soon after taking off from kuala lumpur for lay jim. it remains missing until this day with 239 people. now, white house officials say

family. we're a púrt of that as far as we're concern good they were joined by police departments throughout our region. these pictures were sent from officers in gloucester county upper darby township, camden county and berkley township just to name a few. well this weekend brought more protests in the wake of the grand jury decisionness ferguson and in new york a peaceful temptation held here in center city on saturday that was organize by several local muslim groups to address police brutality against the black community. a number of high ranking officers were there to keep that dialogue opened. the founder of the philadelphia charter school says that the doors will close, for good, this week. in a letter sent to parents in a message on the school's web site walter d palmer says leadership learning partners charter school will close on wednesday, december 31st. "eyewitness news" spoke with walter palmer over the phone. he says that this will affect

some 675 students recently won a lottery to stay at that school. it was back in october that the school had to shut out hundreds of students for exceeding their enrollment cap. well, a spokesperson for the school district of philadelphia released this statement saying they are quote ready to assist parents and student with transition to publish schools. the school district has set up a dedicated web site for walter palmer parents to assist them with that transition process. 7:08. we have new information on the hit and run crash in bristol township bucks county. nine three-year old jenny russo died a short time after a a pick up slammed into her home and drove off. authorities say result from her autopsy indicate that she died of natural causes and there was in evidence of trauma caused by that crash. the driver did eventually turn himself in and charges have in the been filed just yet. well, police released the name of the motorcyclist kill in the crash in king of prussia chopper three over river road and mccoy lane.

police say 50 year-old eric keither of conshohocken crossed over double yellow line and collided head on with the truck. the keither was killed instantly. the driver of truck was flown to the hospital but is expect to recover. police say a man tried to rob a local sports bar armed with nothing but a broom handle. it happened friday night at chestnut sports bar in newark delaware, a manager was cleaning up when a man attack her and demanded money from the register. she for the him off with the help of another customer, he ran away empty handed and still on the loose. philadelphia police are searching for suspects in two separate grocery store robberies, first happened on tuesday at the susan's grocery on south 13th street. police say two suspects demanded money and one pulled a gun. they got away with $500. on thursday, police responded to a robbery in progress at the joe's food market at 1900 east passyunk avenue, that suspect ran off without getting any money. well, it is a new chapter in the sony hacking scandal

plane is missing. the flight with 162 people on board was coming from indonesia heading to singapore. airline officials say the plane went in missing after the pilot asked for permanent mission to change course due to some bad weather. the plane lost communication with indonesia airport 42 minutes after take off, when it is believed to have been over the java sea. now according to air ash at plane had under gone a last maintenance check on november 16th. search and rescue operations are now in progress. we do have some more breaking news for you this morning a fur i carrying nearly 500 people off the coast of greece is on fire. so far there have been no reports of any injuries but passengers are report thely stranded on the highest deck. the fire broke out on the ferry's car deck. gale force wind are fanning flames. the ships from greece and italy are on the the scene attempting to make rescues. tense moments on the tarmac a yet blue flight was delayed in long beach california for nearly two hours because of the bomb

several fights break out among hundreds of teenagers who pack a pittsburgh mall. police say large groups of teens started to show up around 5:00 o'clock on friday with crowd swelling to as many as a thousand. at the least two people were hospitalized with minor injuries. the chaos forced monroeville mall to close early. >> there was all this commotion and there were you just heard a stampede and a bunch of people screaming yelling, and then all of the people that worked at the the store came running to the front of the store and shut all of the doors and locked you in. >> police say there was minor damage done to the mall, they don't believe it was an organized event or protest. george hw bush will remain in the texas hospital. bush oldest living president who was admitted just before christmas for shortness of breath. a spokesmen says 90 year-old is in good condition and good spirits. the former president will stay in the hospital throughout the the weekend for observation. bush suffers from a form of parkinson's that has forced him to rely on a motorized

welcome back. the forever studios hosted their first ever kwanzaa festival at the west philadelphia achievement charter elementary school. the celebration featured live performances traditional african marketplace and, of course, a kwanzaa candle lighting ceremony. well new years eve preps are underway in times square. take a look, every year thousands of people travel to new york city toy watchman hat an owes iconic new year eve ball drop. the ball will be raised 470 feet in the air and is set to be the largest crystal ball, in the world. the workers are busy putting final touches on the ball and new years festivities will begin on wednesday at 6:00.
