out to, here, in terms of the thermometer readings, expect to go get you into the mid or upper 30's, the next few days, but that's t we normally would be in the low 40's. so we're close to seasonable, but now rather than being above average definately below average and it will stay that way for a few days. starting off here on "skycam 3" all is calm, all is quiet. we have cloud cover out there. i'll show you what that is reflecting on storm scan3 in a second. but starting things offer just with a look at "skycam 3" overlooking center city, current conditions at the airport thrown over top here, 33 degrees northeast component to the winds flow it, does certainly make it feel chillier. now notice on storm scan, with the tri-state sweep that we are finding a little hint of moisture out there. i've been looking around at all of the area observations, i can't find any of this verifying on the grounds anywhere. in other words you're finding a lot of clouds, but you are probably not finding much in the way of any precipitation out of this. so, you know don't worry too much about that moisture that you are finding there. rather just looking at clouds, this is also a perfect excuse for eyewitness weather watcher network to jump right in.

if you live down the shore in delaware, little us -- let us know what you are finding. we should hit into the low 40's at well around the rest of the region at best. so chilly day certainly underway, we should also end up with some sunshine, jess, over to you. >> thank you sunshine is a good thing. good morning just a little after 5:00 a.m. going outside checking police activity out on the roosevelt boulevard. which actually was due to earlier accident, just split across the highway here, but earlier accident was in the southbound lanes right around bridge. you can see, it is not really setting anybody back too much. not much in the way of volume in either direction but at least we know it is out there something to prepare for if you are headed out the door. definitely we will keep you update philadelphia volume increases around the area, though, for the rest of the morning. otherwise out on 95 around cottman, everything looking great. northbound lanes toward northeast philadelphia, okay. southbound toward center city, still doing okay, as well. even including that right-hand lane losing that for some ongoing construction, ukee, back over to you.

>> jessica, thank you. new this morning philadelphia police are investigating what led to a deadly crash in nicetown. a car hit a pole, then went down in a embankment, killing the driver and injuring three passengers. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now from the scene to tell us more about it. jan? >> reporter: ukee, police continue to investigate the cause of this accident, but they tell us they do believe that speed and alcohol could be to blame. now, here in nicetown, it was a terrible scene overnight. that car landed just behind me there, near those orange cones, with one person dead, and three other injured. it is the result after deadly accident in nicetown, a car at the bottom after 20-foot embankment. horns still sounding despite the damage. one woman the driver, was killed and three of her passengers including a pregnant woman were injured. after their car left the roberts avenue exit. >> struck a telephone pole, breaking it, and then ran into an embankment, where the vehicle actually dropped off

of a 20-foot embankment. >> police say the one-car accident happened just after 10:30 monday night. the group was traveling north on route one and took the northbound exit when police say the 23 year old driver lost control. she was pronounced dead on scene. a 24 year old man in the front passenger seat was severely injured, and taken to einstein in critical condition. and the man and woman in the back seat also 24 were taken to temple in stable. meantime police spent hours collecting evidence, trying to figure out what caused the crash. >> they did find some alcohol in the vehicle. so they do believe that speed and. >> alcohol possibly contributed to this accident. >> now that 24 year old woman, who was sitting in the back seat, again, she was taken to temple in stable condition. she is expected to be okay. >> she was actually outside of the car and walking around when medics arrived. meantime, the cause investigation is now underway.

roads in the area have reopened. reporting live from nouns town cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> right now route 309 is shutdown in both directions atom gate road, after overnight crash. car hit utility polander 1:00 this morning knocking wires down across that road. we're work to go finds out whether that road will reopen. there is no word at the moment on any injuries. erika? >> one person is dead police say a driver attempt to go flea a traffic stop was involved in a head on crash. happened in glenn old g after folcroft officer tried to pull over this white al tim a. the driver sped away, then moments later, crashed into that red pontiac. >> i heard the whistles going off. i was in my offers up states. and heard a large bang. and came down immediately. just saw the scene at the corner there cars everywhere, police came out with their guns drawn.

>> we have breaking news bodies, debris spot in the waters near where the missing airasia flight was last seen. officials say, it is likely from the missing plane. there is no sign of survivors so far. >> according, a woman killed, three other passengers injured in this crash in nicetown. police say speed may have been a factor in that crash. >> and a car crash on route 309, near toll gate road, closed height way in richland township bucks county earlier this morning. no word on injuries right now. route 309 is still closed in both directions. some scary moment for passengers after a plane is forced to make an emergency landing at philadelphia international airport. we have some video here that one passenger shared with "eyewitness news". you can see flames, if you look for it, wait a moment, they shoot from one of the plane's engines right there. the us air express flight was heading from philly to manchester, new hampshire yesterday when the pilot

perhaps this is your holiday travel day, a lot of people sort of just coming back home after the long weekend, storm scan3 does still show some signs of life. but do not worry my friends i haven't been able to find one observation point across southern delaware or new jersey. it actually has any wet weather verified at the ground. so really just overcast skies or clouds, and some upper level moisture, but none of it again verifying at the grounds level that we can find anyway. let us know if you are in the weather watcher network what you are finding. meanwhile, weather showing us couple every clouds. you can make out the center city atlantic city line in the distance, another view for you in the city there is time overlook the ben franklin at penn's landing here. fireworks show coming up, two of them, clear skies for new years eve festive tis. but yes chilly conditions, and there will be a modest breeze, but enough that it may not feel any better than the upper teens by the time the stroke of midnight is upon us. taking it forward in this forecast sort of glance for the next three days, chilly obviously with the temperatures no better than the 30's, but also very quiet.
