reduced visability. a half mile up through allentown, miles worth of visibility in reading. half mile will through lancaster. .8 through the atlantic city areas. depending where you are you can find changing visability rapidly. temperatures today getting to 63 degrees, yes, put this into motion. computer model is perfect. at 7:00 this morning we will get some of these showers and we will do get a break but it fills in with a couple more showers later on. mild day, cold week we can talk about this all coming up, nicole. >> all right carol thank you. new this morning police are investigating a homicide in philadelphia's hunting park neighborhood. authorities were called to the 3700 block of dellhide street for an accident around 3:00 this morning. when officers arrived they found a 39 year-old man shot the in the chest inside his car, riddled with bull it holes. also new this morning, one person is hurt in a car accident in east falls. it all happened around 2:45 on

roberts avenue near fox street. the the victim was taken to the hospital, their condition is not known. the cause of that crash is still being investigated. a mailbox explosion causes an alarm in springdale camden county. it happened midnight in the 1200 block of sequoia road. bomb squad was called out to investigate. the there is no word of suspects at this time. after nearly 40 days of searching for shane montgomery his family now has closure. the 21 year-old body was found yesterday in the schuylkill river. shane's family thanked all who helped and asked for privacy while their family grieves. our syma chowdhry has that story. >> reporter: that is right nicole, shane montgomery's body was found in the schuylkill right behind the manayunk brewery yesterday yesterday afternoon. his family filled with family and relief spoke out to the media. >> today we have done what we have promised, we have found and we have brought shane home.

>> reporter: family of shane montgomery begins to get close another that they need after confirming ad about i pulled from the schuylkill river saturday is the missing west chester university student. the the body was found by a group of volunteer divers just before noon time in about 4 feet of water in a river bank behind manayunk brewery along main street, less than half mile from where the the 21 year-old disappeared after leaving kildares irish pub early thanksgiving morning. shane's parents made the the announcement saturday that their son had been found nearly 40 days after his disappearance. the discovery of shane's body end more than five week search which included efforts from local dive teams philadelphia police, the fbi and thousands of volunteers, both on the streets, and through social media. >> that is what we're here for. that is why we do this. it is to find families loved ones and bring them back to them. >> reporter: surveillance video was released showing shane walking across the

bridge spanning manayunk canal toward a parking lot that is next to the schuylkill river. shane's keys were found in the same area shortly before christmas. prayers filled the facebook page used to help find shane. the the family filled with both sadness and relief, will have closure that they will need. >> we want to thank everybody for their support prayers and love and ask that he they pray for our family at this trying time. >> reporter: funeral arrangements will be scheduled shortly. we're live from manayunk, syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". well, shane montgomery was last seen leaving kildares irish pub in manayunk earl will i thanksgiving morning. that can ol first stretched that sunday november 30th, the aim day that the fbi joined local officials in this investigation. on december 10th, we have learned there was surveillance video of montgomery near the river and hain's keys were found by search teams on the water on december 21st.

"eyewitness news" at the the scene in the 5400 block of delancey street police believe 259 year-old driver was shot during a robbery. authorities say there were three male passengers in the the car the at the time of the shooting and no arrests have been made. a funeral services will be held for wenjian liu, second new york city police officer killed in the ambush shooting two weeks ago. on at day friend, family and police officers from all around the country honored liu at the his wake. wija jank reports. >> reporter: officer wenjian liu was devoted they stood

franklin bridge area it is also raining out there as well. we seem to have it all. 36 degrees the temperature right new in reading where you pick up a tiny bit of snow out of that system. the weather is absolutely crazy and it will be getting even more crazy a as we go through the the rest of the week. as far as what we can expect at this point we are looking currently at temperatures that are so much more mild then yesterday. yesterday well in the 20's. now we're in the 40's. we have some temperatures in the 50's this morning and we're not going to stop here either. the these temperatures will go in the lower 60's and all of these will go in the the lower 60's through lehigh valley and reading and middle 50's but it is a big warm upcoming today. along with those showers speaking of which, we are seeing some of these showers out there ride now and we will be finding them especially through the the philadelphia area right now notice all of the yellow spots here. also notice a few areas where there aren't any showers at this point. that will fill in. a lot of this just moved on

love, and can that they continue to pray for our family at this very trying time. >> reporter: no funeral a arrangements have been announced just yet but services are expected to be scheduled shortly. we are live from manayunk syma chowdhry for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". same, thank you. camden county police say a a man killed himself after shooting his girl friend. unidentified woman was shot near the intersection of baird boulevard and marlton pike around 3:00 at day morning. she was rushed to cooper university hospital by her father in critical condition. now her boyfriend reportedly followed them to the hospital, and then shot and killed himself while parked outside the emergency room. now to the latest on the search for wreckage of the air asia flight 5801. divers are hoping to get a closer look under sea at the spot indonesia officials believe the plane is located. cbs news correspondent wendy gilette has the very latest. >> reporter: sonar equipment has detect four massive objects on the floor of the javae see in the area where

searchers are looking for air asia flight 8501. biggest piece measures 59 feet long and 18 feet wide and is in water about 100 feet deep. indonesia investigators think it is part of the missing plane's body. other chunks of possible plane debris were discovered in the same area and washed up on some beaches but the the plane's black boxes remain missing. u.s.s. fort worth is one of two u.s. navy ships helping in the investigation. >> u.s. sam a sonnies using their whole mounted sonar to listen, and i won't comment as to the the success of that right new but they are using some technology organic to the ship right now. >> reporter: strong currents and waves as high as 13 feet have prevented divers from getting into the water. so far only 30 of the 162 victims have been retrieved. four more families received their loved ones on friday. relatives of the plane's captain say they are still hopeful he can be found alive.
