pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane face criminal charges. she is involved in an investigation about leaked testimony from a 2009 grand jury reportedly designed to embarras political enemies. the inquirer quoting people familiar with the decision. our todd quinones is live from the news center with some breaking details, todd. >> reporter: chris, the inquirer report centers around allegations attorney general kathleen kane leak secret grand jury information to the sister paper the daily news. the right now of course, we are working to confirm this report but so far the the attorney general's office has yet to comment. kane a's attorney released a statement which in part says i cannot confirm the posted reports in the philadelphia inquirer of any presentment issued by the grand jury regarding attorney general kathleen kane. if such is the case, then it is my understanding that it is up to the montgomery county district attorney to make a judgment a as to whether proceed against the attorney general. the attorney general has done nothing wrong or illegal and to my knowledge, there is no

credible evidence that she has. she told the truth to the grand jury at all times. i hope the district attorney will reach the same conclusion. now all of this stems from a 2009 grand jury investigation involving allegations against a former head of the local naacp jerry mondesire. no charges were ever filed in that case. the a as of right now the montgomery county district attorney risa vetri furhman has not commented. also in his statement, kane's attorney questioned if the leak to the inquirer about the alleged grand jury decision is a violation of the state grand jury secrecy act. of course we will continue to follow this breaking news story and update with you any new information as we get it. reporting live from the news center, todd quinones for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". well, developing right now a suspect whom authorities say ran over a philadelphia police officer with a carries now under arrest. the it is a story you saw first here on "eyewitness news". justin finch is live at police headquarters with the latest justin. >> reporter: jessica, this afternoon police said they would find their man and now this evening it appears that they have. having tracked down a suspect driver and car they say he used to mow down that office they are afternoon in strawberry mansion. from the sky chopper three looking down on the man in cuffs, likely driver of this chevy impala police said was used as a weapon begins the the officer thursday morning. >> the male inside he was the only person inside. >> reporter: inside that impala, that the officer and his partner pulled off at corner of 32nd and susquehanna for a traffic stop at 11:30 a.m. police say. >> when they went to run the tag, it came back to another vehicle. >> reporter: driver gave vague a answers so they went back to that car to run the the ohio tag. the different car. the the officers then approached the impala with him near, the driver tried to speed away, and hearing safety

riverside industrial complex just off of route 13 in bristol township. our matt rivers is live at the scene. he has got latest on the investigation, a matt. >> reporter: chris, 50 or 60 emergency personnel have been on the scene here since just after 4:00 a.m. now entering their 13th hour of searching for 48 year-old tony gabriel. >> there is no chance have of survival at this point. >> reporter: blunt word came shortly after 10:00 a.m. emergency officials announcing the likely fate of 48 year-old tony gabriel. they say he was working near a cile owe filled with dry concrete when just before midnight it collapsed. >> hundreds of thuses of pound of dry cop create rushed down like and avalanche and buried everything in its sight. >> reporter: including trailer tony was working for sillv icon create. it wasn't until hours later when a a police officers spotted the collapse that rescue crews were called in. >> we didn't find out nothing until police came to his house at 3:30 this morning and said that they could not find him.

"eyewitness news" was there on

roselyn street, a neighbors of that man said he is a military veteran in his 70's and they believe he was disabled. this is philadelphia's first fire fatality of 2015, authorities believe that the flames started in the kitchen, and that the home did have have working smoke detectors. fire fighters had to deal with extremely cold conditions. a report by former director of the fbi says nfl and commissioner goodell had not seen video of ray rice punching his video before suspending him. that report by robert muhler shows nfl should have done more with the information it had but muhler says there was no evidence that the league received the video before it was public on line in september. we are now hearing 911 calls from the family's terrifying ride. their minivan was drag for 16 miles by a tractor trail. >> we ran in the back of the semi truck and he is not stopping and our carries underneath of it. >> do you need an ambulance do

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is following this from the the sat center now, todd. the the philadelphia inquirer is reporting a grand jury is recommending pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane face criminal charges.

report centers around allegation that is kane leak grand jury information to the sister patient the daily news. of course we're working to confirm the report but attorney general's office has referred us to her personal attorney who released a statement which says that the the in party cannot confirm posted reports in the philadelphia inquirer of any presentment issued by the grand jury, regarding attorney general kathleen kane. if such is the the case then it is my understanding that it is up to the montgomery county district attorney to make a judgment is too whether to proceed against the attorney general. attorney general has done nothing wrong or illegal, and to my knowledge, there is no credible evidence that she has. she has told the truth to the grand jury at all times. i hope the district attorney will reach the same conclusion. now all this stems from 2009 grand jury investigation involving allegations against a former head of the local naacp jerry mondesire. no charges were ever filed in that case and when we reached montgomery county
