allegation that is kane leak grand jury information to the sister patient the daily news. of course we're working to confirm the report but attorney general's office has referred us to her personal attorney who released a statement which says that the the in party cannot confirm posted reports in the philadelphia inquirer of any presentment issued by the grand jury, regarding attorney general kathleen kane. if such is the the case then it is my understanding that it is up to the montgomery county district attorney to make a judgment is too whether to proceed against the attorney general. attorney general has done nothing wrong or illegal, and to my knowledge, there is no credible evidence that she has. she has told the truth to the grand jury at all times. i hope the district attorney will reach the same conclusion. now all this stems from 2009 grand jury investigation involving allegations against a former head of the local naacp jerry mondesire. no charges were ever filed in that case and when we reached montgomery county district

darby right the new to meteorologist kate bilo who has more on the cold commuters with the mobil weather lab good evening kate. >> reporter: good evening, kathy. we are here at 69th street terminal in upper darby, a very, very busy place, every single day people have have to stan outside wait for buses walk to where they need to go and everybody just completely bundled up tonight trying to show us as little skin as possible as you can see there just showing the eyes, patch of eyes that doesn't get all that cold. it goes right through the gloves. i'm double gloved and my fingertips are completely numb. for people outside in this tonight, it is still dangerous. you want as many layers as you can possibly stand even if it makes you you wadell down the street it is worth to it stay warmth tonight. if you are going to be out and about whether you are traveling, commuting or just outside maybe heading out to dinner or like some of those brave souls we saw get something exercise in. well, it will be cold.

have put together a cold weather survival guide. you can find that at cbs philly.com. a philadelphia police officer is out of the hospital tonight after authorities say awe suspect ran him over during a traffic stop. it is a story you saw first on "eyewitness news". that suspect is now in custody. broken glass. he was treated for that ape also released from the hospital. oz for the officer officer kochmer, we're told he was released from the hospital. his leg is not broken but bad bruising on his leg. as for fall inns, the driver he will face charges of attempted murder assault as well as fleeing police. we are live at police headquarters i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> justin, thanks much. man is presumed dead tonight and officials are trying to determine exactly why it had happened after a silo containing powdered cement collapsed. it happened at riverside industrial complex in bristol township bucks county in the 7900 block have of north radcliff road. the victim is 48 year-old tony gabriel, he was working in an trailer near the silo right around midnight when the collapse occurred. it wasn't discovered until hours later after police on routine patrol discover the devastation. >> hundreds of thousands of pound of dry concrete rushed down like an avalanche and buried everything. is there thousands of pound of

debris, and steel thousands of pound of dry cement over 10-foot high. >> occupation safety and health administration is now investigating today's accident. overnight fire in the ogontz section of philadelphia has claimed a life of the elderly man. "eyewitness news" there on roselyn street today as a neighbor says the victim is a military veteran in his 70's who may have been disabled. this is philadelphia's first fire fatality of the new year. authorities say fire appears to have started in the kitchen and that the home did have working smoke detectors. fire fighters who were on the scene had to deal with extremely cold conditions. a judge in montgomery county ordered donna krupp to stand trial on arson charges today. she's accused of torching the home of police detective ernie more is in lower pottsgrove township last month while he and his family were away on vacation. krupp and more writes neighbors on commons drive there court documents alleged krupp was angry after the

recent arrest of her son, krupp's attorney says she's innocent. happening right now friend and family of shane montgomery are gathering together in manayunk for his viewing. divers discovered his body in the the schuylkill river almost 40 days after he went missing. "eyewitness news" reporter natasha brown is in manayunk with the very latest natasha. >> reporter: we can tell you this evening a steady stream of people have been filing into saint john the baptist church behind me in manayunk paying their respects to the montgomery family. shane montgomery the 21 year-old west chester university student went missing on thanksgiving after leaving kildares pub in manayunk. he was later seen on surveillance video near the schuylkill river after a 36 day search, shane's body was pulled from the schuylkill, bringing some closure to his family. today those who know shane's family well wanted to come to the viewing to show their love and support.

in new jersey tonight lawmakers are plot to go override governor christie's veto of the port authority reform package a bill that was born out of the bridge gate scandal. here's "eyewitness news" new jersey reporter cleve bryan. >> i come out here today to apologize to the people of new jersey. >> january 2014, to january 2015, governor chris christie's moved on from bridge gate apologies to awkward man hugs many are fighting for accountability. >> now it is time to finish the job. >> reporter: new jersey state senator say march 5th they will vote to override christie's veto of the reform package to the port authority of new york and new jersey. the third was at center of the traffic jam scandal at the george washington bridge. law makers in both states

normal high this time of the year are in the upper 30's to around 40, with the wind it will still feel like only in the teens and 20's but it will be an improvement. the once that clipper moves through you will reeven force colder air and back in the ice box by saturday. here's how it will feel tomorrow morning. on the poconos between five below a and five above. lehigh valley and extreme northern and western suburbs it will feel like between zero and ten. in philadelphia and suburbs, basically in the teens and down the shore between 15 and 20 that is what it will be feeling like come tomorrow morning. after tomorrow we will see that jet stream fall again with reenforcing shot of cold air for saturday but good news is by sunday it rises as temperatures will warm. we will get a ridge there as the flow becomes more west to east. we will continue to see more temperatures seasonal next week but few more chances of rain and snow. overnight increasing cloud, southeasterly win, low temperature of 16. wind chills in the single digits but temperatures rise
