"eyewitness news" investigative reporter walt hunter takes a closer look. >> reporter: outside wyndmoor learning center it was quite it this winter day a sign saying that the day care and adjoiningmont sorry were closed state officials ordering the shut down based on violations uncovered by their inspection of the center following the the death of a five month-old girl being cared for here monday morning. >> the children are really had heart broken with it. >> reporter: as stunned parents scramble to find other fat it is is police say first responders began performing cpr on the baby, rushing her to chestnut hill hospital where she was pronounced dead. autopsy results, are pending. >> a major shock i would have never expect anything like that happening at this school. >> reporter: arriving to inspect the center hours after the death state officials took emergency action. >> the department of human services issued an emergency removal order to close the facility due to violations that constitute gross

incompetence, negligence, and misconduct in operating a facility. >> reporter: state inspection reports first uncovered by kyw news radio report arer cherry gregory veal that there is video showing how the babe hi who died was being cared for. >> a staff member placed a blanket over a child's face and then when paramedics arrived tried to conceal the blanket and eventually ended up having to give it to police. >> reporter: state report details 20 separate violations. >> a number of other violations, including leaving children unsupervised for more than 30 minutes. >> reporter: walt hunter from channel three, can i talk to you? a person inside the school told me there would be no comment, before i was ordered to leave the property. search of state record reveals that the facility has no prior violations, and a top rating for providing care. police say it could be as long as two months before toxicology tests are completed, and medical examiner can make a time

"eyewitness news" in pennsauken camden county where it has been a tough stretch of days for those who work outside. meteorologist kathy orr is live on the cbs-3 sky deck tracking more bitterly cold temperatures for this weekend, kathy? >> we're talking about breezy conditions tonight as well, chris and that is driving those wind chills down those feels like readings will go below zero for some of us tomorrow morning. look at storm scan three we

investigators say all of the terrorist are connected. and, right now, we are hearing from philadelphia police officials and what they are learning from the violent events in paris. "eyewitness news" reporter matt rivers has that part of the coverage tonight. >> reporter: terror in the streets of paris and in one of the cities northern suburbs. an enormous security operation staged at both locations officers going after the three men involved, and it was a dramatic scene, as it played out on live tv. >> unfortunately i think we will see something like this somewhere in the you had. >> reporter: philadelphia police chief inspector joe sullivan watched the terrorist attacks as we all did. he said they are difficult to prevent, so he says the department is always on guard. >> we don't downgrade/upgrade, we stay in that mode. i always say that i can live in a professional state of paranoia. >> reporter: french police say they went to both locations simultaneously killing three

suspects in the process. four hostages also died. sullivan says to coordinate an operation like that across two locations is complicated but necessary. >> it is obvious that there was annex extremely in depth degree of coordination between both scenes. >> reporter: he says preventing attacks like thesis possible in two ways community members alerting police to suspicious activity and well train officers on the ground. >> the success that we will have, if we suffer an event like france, is going to be determined by those first responding officers. >> reporter: chief inspector sullivan says a lot can be learn from the successful operation. he says the fbi will talk to their counterparts in france and take what they know and relay it back to the philadelphia police department. the goal of all of that toys take those best practices and implement them into philly's standard operating procedures. matt rivers for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and right now people in philadelphia, are gathering to show their support for the the people of france.

"eyewitness news", new jersey reporter, cleve bryan, is live outside her home on aberdeen drive-in mount laurel cleve. >> reporter: family of eric contact crippen cosby says she would never take off and leave behind her two caughters. many of just a arrived here at their home. they will walk around and pass out flyers trying to get information. they have been inside their home. it is normally tidy. now it is a mess. there is broken glass, broken window, blind, even a shower curtain is missing. they are extremely concerned for her safety.

>> erika is missing can y'all find her that is all. >> reporter: you can hear the pan nick barbara's voice pleading to help find her cousin erika crippen crosby. >> she's a loving mother. the her babies need her. >> reporter: families last heard from her december 30th. erika went to pj wheelihans in cher while her husband kyle crosby. since then no calls, no facebook, no communication at all. no answer at a the crosby's apartment in mount laurel. she says last time that she heard from kyle was wednesday this week when he said he didn't know where to finder contact. that is when family filed a missing persons report with mount laurel police. >> the thing that got us all more why are these babies still here and in word from erika, not her. >> reporter: she said they cannot reach kyle and erika's carries missing, 202nd thousand red ford taurus with 826-efl. police have not released any information about suspecting foul play but the burlington county prosecutor's office has joined the investigation.

and new tonight the the gloucester county prosecutor's office will not press charges against franklin township police officer who struck and killed ten year-old matthew mccloskey on december 28th. their investigation determined matthew ran into the officer's path and the crash was a tragic accident. the officer was traveling at least 20 miles above the speed limit which is 50 miles an hour in that area his lights and sirens were not on that is policy when responding to a non-emergency call. in light of this crash authorities will review that policy. pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane is breaking her silence a daze after the philadelphia inquirer reported a grand jury is recommending perjury and other criminal charges be filed against her over leak grand jury testimony n a statement kane says i did nothing illegal, period, and any fair, impartial review of the facts would concludes that this seems to be to be another political attack in my attempt to clean up

cbs-3 "eyewitness news". sure, it is cold out there but not as cold as it was last night at this time. our eyewitness weather watchers are showing us temperatures in the the 20's and 30's instead of the teens and 20's. the lets take a look to the north of philadelphia where the temperature is 29 degrees in doylestown. irwin says the wind right now at 7 miles an hour and pressure is rising. high pressure will build in. that means a cold night and chilly day tomorrow. right now the temperature is 31 degrees. the kathy says light wind, moon lit skies, it is a very pretty night out there lets look at our pictures. aj in moorestown, new jersey. you can see a few clouds in the sky. that is just about it. outside we are looking at conditions that will get colder but we like that in the poconos, that means more snow making. the busy at jack frost big boulder. if you are skiing make sure you wear face mask tomorrow because wind chills will only be in the single numbers in the mountains. remember you create your own
