gaze on that. boardwalk in ocean city doesn't look bad nicole, this morning. i saw one solitary figure walking along here is another one, maybe they can meet up little later on, try and warm up someplace. you can see any precipitation that hasn't fallen in a couple every days, but whatever has is still frozen there. because it has been that cold in ocean city along with every place else. nineteen right now in philadelphia, we have teenagers all over the map here. we've got 16 in trenton, 15 in wilmington, 15 in millville 18 up in allentown, 15 in the poconos. cold start to the day. the win chill is really nothing this morning. the winds are pretty quiet. one of the reasons these temperatures dropped as much as they did overnight. along with clear skies that are starting to get few high clouds. this is an indication of some of the warmer air coming in, way aloft. on the gown, it is still dry and cold. but that warmer air is coming in and as the precipitation tonight, and tomorrow, starts to fall through that warmer air, into this colder air that's why we could be finding some freezing rain, that is
8:16 am
just regular rain that freezes on contact on sub-freezing surface. so we are watching for that in some parts of the area. but this morning and today you have a fine day to do anything you want outside. areas of particular alert for the winter weather advisory, 1:00 o'clock in the morning starting tomorrow morning until 10:00 through philadelphia, the way it is right now until 1:00 in the afternoon, through the lehigh valley until 5:00 p.m., in the poconos, so this winter weather advisory for that wintery mix generally just a trace to maybe .01 of an inch the farther to the north you g still it can be enough to create a problem as you start the commute tomorrow. computer models keep changing its mind on when stuff comes in. but it does say we're completely cloud cover by 10:00 o'clock tonight. and then, we start to see this precipitation, 4:00 o'clock in the morning areas to the north and the west and again, this is subject to change, so many people, i know, so many people at cbs-3 come in in the early morning hours so, this
8:17 am
is a key travel time for a lot of people. subject to change, but just know that the colder air is out there the precipitation starts to move in to the north by the time we hit 8:00 in the morning, do we start to see some of the mix coming into philadelphia, do we keep it around here, right through 10:00 o'clock. it is possible. some rain moving in, could some of this be freezing rain, just be careful out there tomorrow until you know that grounds is just wet and not slippery wet. then, by the time we hit the evening hours we're still looking at some rain showers colder air may come down, and that can transition some of that to a little bit of snow before it is finally gone. and tuesday looks fine, going to be looking at just come cold temperatures out there. as far as the icing concerns, trenton, philadelphia, .01 of ann, slightly more to the north and the west of that tomorrow. with that winter weather advisory in effect, starting again at 1:00 in the morning. today, by comparison, not bad. 37 degrees mostly sunny skies, clouds start to increase tonight. 30 degrees tonight these temperatures by the time we
8:18 am
get to the overnight, they should hopefully n starting to climb little bit. but it is below freezing. and it is also going to be wet out there. so keep yourselves and your pets dry and warm, and we are looking at a day on monday, that's not a great day. what with the precipitation and temperatures, right around the freezing mark, in some locations, then we end that wintery mix tuesday through saturday, at this point not looking bad. temperatures in the 30's, but at this point it looks like it is going to be dry. as we all know, nothing is easy in sub freezing weather. if you own a house well, you know, that the problems increase, as the temperatures decrease. so, what are the three big things that we need to watch out for? watch this. >> fires if the fireplace keep ed stoke, tossing another log into the flames in his store in medford. to get more heat and to increase fireplace safety. >> so your best bet is to burn a hot fire once a day to burn
