from the cab of that truck. he did die, as a result of this accident. you can see contents spilled in the median. if we can go further south down i-95, more toward the woodhaven road exit you cane the the other vehicles involved, in this situation. one other tractor trailer and from what we can see four other vehicles along the the the road there. now because we have not had a great view from where we are right hugh let's show you video we took earlier from chopper 3hd of this scene. we do know that several other people have been injured as a result of this crash. officials are still trying to determine what caused this crash but as chris and jessica, as you mentioned, the traffic has been backup along i-95 north for hours now we can expect it to be that way for some time to come a as the clean up effort really just starting to get underway. before we come back live here along the highway we have would be more piece of video to show you. we took this from our cell phones on the way up here and

at some point drivers were being forced on to woodhaven road. they continued to be exiting ton woodhaven road. some drivers started to drive around trucks forcing them off the highway. the those drivers made their way all the way up to the accident scene where they were promptly turned back around by police, because what you see is there cars driving southbound on i-95 northbound. if it sound confusing, it is. it was a confusing scene back here live on i-95 south the southbound lanes are opened, and there are major delays though rubbernecking delays as drivers look at this scene just behind me. but we can expect problems to continue, well into the evening tonight we can confirm that one person has died as a result of this crash. we will be out here for a while seeing how all this turns out for now live from bensalem township matt rivers, for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> we will check back with you, thanks very much. also breaking at this hour chopper three over a deadly crash in hockessin delaware. this happened on lancaster

pike, just between brakingvillain yorkland roads there. a pick up collided with a tractor trailer which lost its load and its back wheels. the police are investigating this crash and there is no word yet on the cause. water a has stopped gushing, crews finally got control over a water main break in northeast philadelphia that sent water shooting in to the air. it caused severe flooding and one worker had to be hospitalized this break happened on blue grass road near grant avenue. justin finch is live there tonight, justin. >> reporter: jessica, that water was waist deep and parts over that hill behind us here. the as you can see layers of ice are melting, we are told that break was caused by days of cold weather, and at more than 12 hours it was not a quick nor an easy fix. from chopper three this wintry cities anotherly beautiful, on the ground it was a beast of a repair job for cities the water department. broken pipe is not for residential water but for

emergency use specifically fires. and although difficult, crews knew how to fix it. >> remove broken section of service line cut it cap it, and then reload the mains in the a area to get service back to the hydrants. >> reporter: fire hydrants that survey next door fire center. they are back on line now but for hours they were shut off so workers could get closer to stopping this pipe break turned geyser. >> getting access to the immediate area was proving more and more difficult as water continued to come out. >> reporter: freezing flow iced this lot off blue grass road and grant avenue forcing crew toss back down from fixing the break wednesday evening soon after it was reported. >> water was getting deep back there. so we were no longer able to maintain a presence close to the site. >> reporter: the the geyser kept spouting for more than 12 hours overnight the combination of cold and fast freezing ice made for a dangerous work site. one worker was injured and hospitalized. by thursday morning the water department was back and by noon had stopped water

at the willow wood mobile home park in west deptford, burlington county. two others were damaged there. "eyewitness news" has learned that the at least one person suffered serious burns and was taken to the hospital. there is no word on what cause that had fire. and this is eyewitness cam video showing swat and ordinance disposal teams searching a home in radnor dell will wear county. authorities say they went to investigate the vacant house on county line road after being told that a former resident may have left explosive devices or weapons there radnor police called the investigation precautionary and they say nothing suspicious was found. developing right now police, took in two suspects during an anti terror operation in belgium today. officials say the group targeted in the raid may have had links with isis and about to carry out a major terror attack in that country. one suspect was arrested during a shoot-out, belgium has since raised its national security level. police in paris say a car

ran into a police woman guarding the french presidential palace, slightly injuring her, as that country remains on high alert. officials say that the hit and run had no link to last weeks terror attacks there meanwhile hundreds gathered for four separate funerals in france for victims of last weeks attacks. there also was a public ceremony to honor slain cartoonist bernard berlack who drew under a sir name. now to another body blow to the gaming entertainment caesars entertainment is filing for bankruptcy. despite the this bad news mayor of ac says outlook for the resort is turning brighter. thank you. more details are emerging tonight about the ohio man who allegedly wanted to pipe bomb the u.s. capitol and wage jihad in america. cbs news reporter craig boswell is in the nation a's capitol with more. >> reporter: twenty year-old christopher lee cornell is scheduled to appear at a federal courthouse in cincinnati on friday. the fbi says he plot todd attack the u.s. capitol building and kill as many people as possible in the name of the islamic terrorist group is is. his parents say their sonnies a good person and home body. >> he was a big kid, his best friend is his cat mike i. >> reporter: fbi's joint terrorism task force arrested cornell wednesday after he purchased two, semiautomatic rifles and approximately 600 round of ammunition at the point blank firing range and gun shop. >> there wasn't really anything that would have suggested he was involved in something like this. >> reporter: court documents show cornell reportedly researched how to build pike bombs, was planning to travel

to washington, detonate bombs at u.s. capitol and kill as many employees and officials as possible. agents first learned about cornell from an informant who tell them cornell was posting pro isis comment on twitter under this name, and in august cornell told the informant in the instant message we should wage jihad under our own order and plan attacks. authorities say cornell was in the final stages of preparation, and nearly ready to execute his plan. on capitol hill craig boswell for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". indianapolis colts player has been charged with rape after an incident in december. linebacker josh mcnary was taken in custody last night. here's mcnary in court today. he is facing one count of rape criminal confinement and battery. he denied all of the accusation as begins him. mcnary will not play for the colts this weekend. they will compete in the afc championship. search is on for burglars caught on tape stealing an atm machine from an olde city bar.

philadelphia police say the suspects spent about an hour inside patty's baron race street in olde city early monday morning. we are looking at the surveillance video. you can see the men taking an atm machine and two flat screen tv. if you have any information, call the police. he we have an update on the effort to keep st. paul's school in burlington county from closing. the catholic school has reached its goal and fund raising, and it will stay open. parents and supporters have officially reached the goal of $250,000 raised to keep classes going next year and all of that money was gathered in less than two months. the school's principal now says it is focusing on registering students during catholic schools week which comes at the end of the month. president obama signed a presidential memorandum on thursday to direct agencies to allow federal work tours take six weeks of advanced pay sick leave. that will allow federal workers to leave and care for a new child honor ill family members. the the president spoke about this today.
