or hears him coming and he shoots the her in the back of the head. >> reporter: earlier police say the video shows the killer hide ago cross the street from her home for an hour before the attack. the killer then calmy walking away boarding a northbound subway train and exiting at hunting park station where the trail end. police say the fact that the killer never shows his face, even lowering his head near camera indicates a carefully planned hit. >> it is just incredible that something, you know this insane could happen to such a good person. >> reporter: jones, who spent her entire career working with children, was a dedicated parishioner of the church of the advocate, helping launch an after school meal program for boys and girls. the killer, taking away the life of a woman, whose first priority was improving the lives of others. >> kim had the idea that she could be instrumental in changing the world and kimberly was, she changed

year and at temple university, they were side by side again. from their johnson hall dorm to their chemistry class. kim was studying prepharmacy. >> when i saw her in class we did work together and all that kind of stuff. >> i cane her having a really good future. she seemed like a smart girl. overall nice person. so sad to hear that happened to her. >> reporter: on thursday night police say kim fell eight floors from an art institute of philadelphia dorm room window. authorities say that she was there visiting friend, two males who were inside. police have questioned them. kim dropped on to the busy center city sidewalk below along 1600 block of chestnut where she felon top of a 44 year-old woman walking. the force cause that had woman's neck and back injuries and knock out a few of her teeth. she was taken to hahnemann hospital and expect to recover. police also did get a cell phone from kim's body at jefferson hospital where she did die. they say that is an indication that perhaps she was using that phone to take a photo

before she fell but that remains under investigation. back on campus there are counselors on hand to counsel students through their grief. we are live, i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". justin, thank you. we have just learned a woman accused of mistreating her special need child has turned herself into upper darby police. police say kareema tolbert locked her son out of the house in freezing temperatures. tolbert is scheduled to be arraigned tonight on charges of recklessly endangering another person . a school bus was one of three vehicles involve in the crash in southwest philadelphia that sent two adults to the hospital. their conditions are not being released. we know it happened just before 9:00 at 68th and chester, the the suv and minivan sustained significant damage. there were no children on board that bus. top officials in montgomery county are honored for their leadership and support in human trafficking, education and enforcement. montgomery county d.a. risa vetri furhman received an award in upper merion today.
