driver. the cause of the collapse is not known. hundreds of tons of concrete fell onto the roadway. >> this will be a mess. it's not, should or could, it will be. we anticipate at least a 4448-hour closer. james holms is accused of opening fire at a movie theater in colorado in 2012. holmes is charged in the attack that killed two people and wounded 70 others of the midnight showing of the "batman movie." hess arettedarrested in the parking lot. if convicted, he could face the death penalty. pope frances is back at the vatican following his week-long trip to asia. he made news on monday with liss response to questions about birth control and religious freedom.

john champion is in new york with the details. good morning, don. >> reporter: good morning, lauren in his first two years, frances has become known for off the cuff speech. later this year we learned he will visit washington, d.c., new york and philadelphia. he is expected to visit the white house, address congress speak at the u.n. and hold what is described as a rally for families in philadelphia. when asked about birth control he defended the church's ban on artificial contraception. he urged parents to practice responsible parenting and regulate the number of children they have. frances saying quote, some think that in order to be good catholics we have to be like rabbits, but. the pope clarified his remarks concerning the attack on the french newspaper charlie hebdo. the pope said he was not justifying violence if a friend cursed his mother he could

the color of their skin. >> washington, d.c. 5th graders re-enacted martin luther king jr.'s speech was given if 1963. they were among millions of americans across the country celebrating his life and legacy. hundreds of people gathered monday at the martin luther king, jr., memorial on the national mall. they held a ceremony to place a wreath at the base of the statue honoring the civil rights leader. in missouri protesters gathered to call to the attention of michael brown. they gathered at the site where he was killed by a white police officer in august. a motorized celebration brought chaos to miami-area streets monday and police were powerless to stop it. our miami station wfor reports. >> reporter: the rumble of the tail papers have taken over the streets of miami-dade county.

droves of people on atvs and dirt bikes are flooding florida to celebrate the dr. martin luther king jr. holiday. the wheelies are a part of the annual events that attract bikers all across the country. >> we are going to step in our seats. >> reporter: that's creating traffic headaches for drivers. >> they need to cut it out, man, that's all. >> reporter: reckless behavior caused the phone line with complaining motorists. our cameras were rolling as some bikers rode down the wrong side of the street crossed the median and popped up on one wheel speeding down the interstate while evading the cops. >> they celebrate. we don't mean no harm. don't mean to cause no pressure. we just got here we're out here celebrating dr. martin luther king's birthday. >> it's not safe. >> reporter: it's illegal to ride atvs and dirt bikes on city streets. troopers say at least three crashes are a result of the

reckless riders and at least three boys, have been arrested. law enforcement are aware of the situation. a highway spokesperson said they drive over people and do stops. bikers pull off. >> those that have no respect. no respect for what we have not for all these years. >> reporter: troopers can't case after them because it's against department policy to give chase for traffic violation. they fear pursuing would endanger more lives. miami-dade police have several intersections blocked off to provide some measure of safety for other motorists. they say they are not ignoring the illegal activity on the road. they are taking special precautions to make sure no other lives are at risk. straight ahead, birth day party bummer, a little boy gets a surprise bill after missing a friend's party. details in money watch. i'm phil mickelson, pro golfer. enbrel helps relieve pain and stop joint damage.

international monetary fund. it lowered its economic forecast. but the imf raised the projected growth for the u.s. economy. the u.s. is the only major economy to see an upward revision. wall street is looking to rebound after a tough week. the dow lost 230 points the s&p finished 25 points lower. the fax lost 70 points. the world economic forum is under way in davos, switzerland, it is the financial and political release. 2500 participant are expected. they discuss the thrusting issues facing the world, including the economy, environment, health and politics. at davos, as oxfam released a report, the richest will own more than half of the world's wellth by 2016. last year the share among the

world's richest people rose to 48% up from 44% in 2009. amazon studios will begin producing and acquiring original movies for release in theaters and video streaming. amazon wants to produce 12 movies a year to release. it already has developed a slate of tv series. a family in britain got a no-show bill because their 5-year-old son didn't attend another child's birthday party t. bill for $24 was put in alex far's toolbag. the dad said they had originally accepted the invitation realized they had conflicting plans and didn't know how to reach the family t. birthday mother says the contact details are on the invitation. nash has no plans to pay. he is being told he is being taken to small claims court. lauren.

the new england patriots have no problem beating the indianapolis colts on sunday but the nfl is looking into whether the team hay have illegally inflated baums to gain a competitive advantage.

six people are missing after a fire destroys several people outside maryland. investigators are expected to champion the ruins today t. fire was reported early monday morning. the home was owned by the chief operating officer of science lonlic. there is no fire hydrant in the area and water tankers were shuttled in despite the fire. researchers are highlighting serious health concerns related to too much sitting. a new study links sedentary life styles to a greater risk of disease and early death, even for those who work out regularly. they show us the concern and how small changes can make a big difference. >> reporter: at the headquarters of bayer health care in new jersey, people are hard at work just standing around. when the building opened a year
