apartments had to be evacuated including 17 people. now at last check ten residents were back inside. as we were coming to air a few more people were walking in. these numbers are changing this morning. pgw crews working quickly to get this in place. i'm seeing a lot of people are literally walking back to their apartmentsment fortunately no injuries here this morning. two medic units on scene all morning to assess anyone who wanted to get checked out after he vac yailted just around 2:30 this morning. now this we're told is 4" gas main leak and south philly high school had been open that is warming center for these folks as they stayed out in the cold weather. it looks like people are going back in now. it was a very, very tense scene earlier on this morning when someone called the gas leak n take a listen how high the levels are. >> my fire department readers 60% natural gas in the air with that we want to take stands of

evacuating home as a precaution. >> and again pgw crews remain here on scene working to get a complete fix in place. this is still a developing story at last check yes the gas was off and somewhere letting back in. we saw more people go back inside. pgw crews are working quickly to get these people out of the cold. as soon as we have more information about the evacuation numbers we'll bring it to you. cbs 3. eyewitness news. >> thank you jan, we'll get back to you. interstate 75 in cincinnati ohio will be closed indefinitely after a deadly overpass collapse. it happened as crews were taking down the old bridge 10:30 last night. authorities say several hundred tons of concrete fell to i 75 southbound killing a construction worker. it's not yet clear what caused that collapse. >> now new this morning a

tractor-trailer hauling frozen foods overturns. it has 11:00 northbound ramp exit 19. police tell us the driver was not hurt but some of the food spilled on to the highway. it's all cleaned up now and the ramp reopened to traffic. >> and developing right now, abing top police are looking for three men involved in a brazen smash and grab robbery. it happened around 7:30 last night at the precision watches store in willow grove mall. investigators say one of the suspects cut his happened open at glass case he broke. they got away in mini van after the store owner fired two shots into the ceiling. if you have information or recognize the men in this picture you're asked to call police. >> 5:03 weather and traffic on the threes. >> ukee it's a quiet day today. we're expecting to see clouds, surprise, and that's generally

you're generally looking for coating to inch or two in philadelphia. it looks like it may come unwillingit hear. while we originally thought okay we'll start with rain south and east of philadelphia, if the delayed timing takes effect there we're talking colder air and that means it's all snow and high area amounts down the shore. i call it a coating down the shore if that were to take place here and there was indication this clipper may even intensify a little and grab atlantic moisture as it crosses through. we have to wait and see as it gets here. in the meantime, quiet weather today and quiteet weather on the storm side thursday and friday and possibility, chance of rain by saturday. jeff. >> back to work this morning for many of you and it's a good thing that the roadways are dry. roads empty at 5:15 so far good morning we're checking out 95 around girard and headlights are headed northbound. no problems in the southbound lanes as well.

>> good morning, everyone, thank you for joining us. updating breaking news from south philly where a major gas leaks forced more than a dozen people from homes overnight. >> eyewitness news reporter was live with an update for us. good morning jan. >> diana ukee, good morning and good news this morning from snyder avenue. i just spoke with pgw officials and they tell me that now only two people out of those 17 people displaced earlier on today remain out of the homes. so only two people now out in the cold. however, a warming center was

set autopsy cross the street at south philadelphia high school for those people in need. you can see pgw remains on the scene this morning. that's where they've been working on the broken gas main that as good as leak all morning long. right now taking a bit of a break. the gas has been shut off and they're working on a complete fix. many people have been allowed to return to their homes. now, this call came in right around 2:30, 2:40 in the morning snyder avenue and there was strong smell of gas in the area that's when crew president stoppeding so to evacuate you had six apartments snyder avenue and 17 people throughout the morning. slowly but surely those people were allowed back in. only two people remain out of the homes this morning. crews continue to work on a 4" gas main that they say broke. right now they're looking into the cause of that break. and that's where the problem sits at right now. completely fixing that main. and we spoke to a lot of people earlier this morning force the
